I've only gotten to go to this restaurant three or four times. I usually go to the Brookside one but I got the Groupon for the South Tulsa location. The waitstaff there was equally awesome! My fiance and I decided to share several different things so we had the coconut chicken and another appetizer and we share the pho and the ginger chicken dish. All of it was so good! I order the ginger chicken dish every time I go because I can't say no to it. They have a nice wine list on several different beers to pick from. The food & service are usually very good but last night it was a clusterf--k. I took us almost 1.5 hours to get our food & they restaurant was not that busy. When we did get our food, it was overcooked. I blame the problem on management. Our server said they only had 3 people working in the kitchen instead of the usual 5. Super duper excited to try this place based on the Yelp reviews AND the gluten free options...and super duper disappointed after experiencing the carry out process and the food. We were in Tulsa for a wedding, it's an easy drive from KC so we figured let's arrive around lunch and grab something to take back to the hotel before the wedding. KEO was the place, I called in about 25 minutes away. They took the order via the mobile phone and said it would be 15 minutes. PUURRFFECCTT-right? WRONG! We arrived 23 minutes later, it's not ready. We wait another 15-it's still not ready. REALLY? It finally comes out-we head back to the hotel. I am used to really good thai food-so I was really disappointed when the peanut sauce tasted burnt, the pad thai had hardly ANY flavor or spice. The red curry was just so-so. And for the price, definitely not worth it. I don't think we caught them on an off day either-if a place doesn't have flavor it just doesn't have flavor. My guess is Tulsa doesn't have many options when it comes to Thai food, which is why this place has received good reviews. We wouldn't go back. read more

Our family went to celebrate at KEO before Christmas - the experience left me in tears. Our table was neglected while the table across from us was blatantly given special treatment, which seemed to be due to their higher socioeconomic status. While we waited to order the more wealthy table ordered, ate, and was given their check even though we had less people and were sat before them. We watched our waiter and multiple other waiters bring out their food and fill drinks while we tried multiple times to get our waiters attention. The servings were a good size, and despite splitting both meals, we still had lots of leftovers for the next day, and it reheated amazingly! I had no clue Keo had a South location! I frequent the Brookside location. Saw Keo on the list of restaurants donating proceeds to Dining out for life so I thought I would check it out! I ordered their food through a delivery service and waited for over an hour for the food. If this restaurant can't handle delivery orders - they shouldn't offer the service. The order was over an hour late and the driver provided no silverware or napkins. I asked for a receipt (in hindsight I realize this comes from the order delivery service) but the delivery driver wasn't very cordial in how he explained it. I will order through grubhub again but will never order food from this place again. Not to mention - there was no bag offered to carry multiple boxes/packages of food up to my room, in the hotel I was staying in. Thank the good Lord above my hotel saw the dilemma and immediately provided plastic cutlery and a plastic bag so I could take it upstairs to eat. Once the driver left, I thought - 'man the food better be really good considering the wait and subpar service.' Sigh. The food was decent. It was lukewarm and so may that took away from the taste. However, for what I waited for I was expecting great food based off the reviews on yelp and it just didn't live up to the reputation here. PS - I paid 25 dollars for 2 spring rolls, soup, and a smaaaaaall portion of rice. There was 20% gratuity automatically added with a delivery fee of approximately 2 dollars. The food is okay with respect to flavor, nice with respect to presentation but Lord have mercy you may be waiting 20 to get acknowledged and 45 to get served - if you came for lunch, you hope your boss came with you cause you are going to be late returning. Regardless when you do get back to the office, you will be hungry soon, not the normal "I ate Asian food, I can eat a gain in an hour" type hunger but more of a "can we swing by McDonald's on the way back?" sort of starvation. KEO is pretty good, the fact they have a fairly regular Groupon available almost convinced me to give them 4 stars. - The food had a lot of good flavor, but was surprisingly greasy. I had the bibimbap, and my wife had the Pad Thai. Probably the best Pad Thai I've had, but the bibimbap tasted like a very fancy Korean hamburger helper... seriously. The xrated martini tasted weak and watered down, not to mention there was nothing special about it flavor wise. But the most shocking was the "Italian coffee" they serve for $2.50. It was a crappy K-Cup. The waiter even said it was a K-Cup when it got delivered with coffee grounds in it. If you want coffee after dinner, just go across the street to Starbucks where $2.50 will actually get you a decent brewed cup of coffee. read more

I honestly don't know how this place got such good reviews. I just ate here, and while the taste is still fresh on my tongue I can say with 100% certainty, this place has the worst pho I have ever had the "pleasure" of eating and I've had pho in 4 different states and 10 different cities. I don't know where to start. When I was served I got my soup and it smelt good. That's where the good things end. The soup wasn't hot enough to even cook the meat thoroughly. The meat it self was thick and grisly. If you've never had pho, the meat is supposed to be thin and the broth near boiling to cook the meat inside the bowl. The flavor was lacking even after adding all the Thai basil, cilantro, lime, jalapeño, and sriracha and I don't like it spicy, I did it to make it feel hot. I generally don't like to talk about price but it was 40$ for three bowls of pho. These weren't even large bowls. The service was some of the worst I've ever had. I know they were somewhat busy but my waitress didn't ask once how the meal was or bring a check. If this place is your first experience with pho, you can get so much better. If you can make it to a non Asian fusion restaurant and get a fully Vietnamese place I recommend it. They generally have a great staff and food. It's hard to mess up something like pho. read more

If you're lucky enough to get a window seat you can watch the families, dog walkers, partyers & window shoppers roam up and down both sides of Peoria Ave. Ordering was difficult, so varied and interesting. Hubby decided on Cambodian stir fry w/ beef, it was tasty, presented as described. I ordered the spring rolls knowing some would go home. They too were presented as described w/ beautiful shrimp tucked in. Mmmm, bites w/ basil! I also ordered the Tom Yum: "chicken in mild lemongrass herb broth, with celery, mushroom and lime | 9" says the menu. It's so much more! The broth may start out mild but after adding thinly sliced green and red peppers it has quite a delightful bite. Such complex flavor, crunch of the celery. Mushrooms, lime leaves, slivers of lemongrass, cilantro & huge chunks of chicken breast served piping hot w/ your choice of rice on the side. They were out of the Argentinian wine I ordered, so I accepted a sub' California Chardonnay @ $12 a glass. Not on the menu. I found the wine list limited and jumbled. When staying in Tulsa recently with my sister for a quick girls' getaway, we were lucky enough to get the chance to have a leisurely dinner at Keo with our girl Sarah M. The three of us split some fresh spring rolls and some veggie spring rolls. Both were oh-so-yummy, freshly prepared and accompanied by very tasty sauces. Our server also recommended an affordable bottle of white blend that we loved. We split the Chicken Pad Thai and the Garlic Ginger chicken, at a Level One in terms of spiciness. Let me tell you, as someone who likes a little bit of spice, Level One was plenty spicy for me, especially on the Garlic Ginger Chicken. I was thankful our helpful server Danny told us that Level 5 was 'face meltingly' hot, so that gave me a good barometer. I think level 2 would have been too hot for us! Speaking of Danny, what a lovely server. He was polite, funny, helpful, and had a great knowledge of the entire menu. I also love when people can talk fast. It's a skill and it's fun to hear someone talk that fast in Oklahoma. He was the perfect server for a group of young married ladies out on the town - just the right amount of friendly, rather than overly flirtatious. I think it can be a tough balance to strike, but he gets it perfectly right. The decor was very cool. One of my only complaints - the lighting. This lighting needs to be much more dim at dinner time. I probably would have had more to drink, and I know I would have been more relaxed if the lighting had been more "evening Asian fusion lounge" and less "grocery store". Keo is by far one of my favorite restaurants in all of Tulsa and quite frankly one of my favorite I've ever been to and I travel A LOT, and that is an understatement. I have always frequented the Brookside location because that is where I used to live. My favorite waiter there went on to be the manager of the new South Location. I still go to the other one more because of convenience but I enjoy coming to this one from time to time to visit him and of course enjoy the food. The food no matter which location is near perfection. I seem to be someone who goes for the same things when I go to the same places, but here I've tried to branch out a little more than I normally would. Their Thom Ka is the only dish (a soup) I've felt was quite better somewhere else, but it is still very good. I enjoy their phad thai, fried rices and curries. But, most of all I enjoy their Thai Sweet Basil dish. It isn't too heavy, but it is packed with a punch. So many flavors in small dish and I love that it is ground chicken, that texture absorbs all the great spices and sauce perfectly. Enjoy a great meal there but don't skip on appetizers, my favorite is their fresh spring rolls! Mmmm! They are served with a peanut sauce, sometimes I ask for their sriracha aioli which is great to dip in as well. ;) Now, if you are not hungry this is a great bar stop as well! (half price apps in the bar btw) Both locations have a little bar, the South location's bar is a little more secluded from the restaurant than the Brookside location.
