The food here is absolutely amazing! It's a Mom & Pop hole in the wall restaurant, but everything we had was cooked to order and delicious. Very authentic. Even the naan was good! It's a strip mall storefront, so there are no frills in the decor. Like I said, everything is cooked to order so be prepared to wait a few minutes for food. This isn't fast food. A small family run restaurant. They serves authentic Kerala food(I'm from Kerala, so trust me on this). We accidentally stumbled upon this place on our trip back from Helen. It's near a Chevron gas station, they don't have a lit up sign board, so be on the lookout. We ordered Chicken stew, beef fry, porotta, appam, kappa, fish curry & fry. Everything was yummy, especially the chicken stew and fish curry. Be ready to wait for at least 30 minutes but definitely worth the wait! read more

One of the good South Indian (Kerala) restaurant in town. Everything on the menu is delicious and the owners is extremely friendly. Never had a bad time with them , I highly recommend this place to anyone. This place was amaaaazing!!! We got the Fish Moley and Aloo Palak and they were sooo tasty! Especially the fish. It was so flavorful and fresh. To add icing to the cake, the owner was so sweet. Even my fellow customers were friendly. The place just has great vibes. And to add a cherry on top, the money from the tip box goes to charity and they have motivational quotes behind the counter and inspirational music playing in the background. Also, palak paneer and bhindi masala, both of which were rich and delicious. Absolutely delicious! My wife and I were looking for a good place to eat. None of our usual haunts and places we tried were appealing to us. So, we decided to give Indian cuisine a try. The first place we found was Kerala Kitchen. And, glad we stopped in! The lady behind the counter was very helpful to us newbys and made some recommendations: Chicken Masala and Chili Shrimp. We had a choice of rice or bread. We chose both. The bread was fantastic! We also tried the vegetable soup. Excellent! This is not fast food. Time, care, and fresh ingredients go in to every meal. I am a regular at this place and what draws me to this place is the quality and consistency. The food is authentic Kerala food. Some of the items to crave for are the avial, fish curry, beef , kerala style chicken curry and the vegetable(banana/mushroom/cabbage) thorans. Its primarily a take-out/catering facility so make sure to order before hand. This place is close to my home so I decided to give it a try. I read the reviews and lots of people said it takes a while for them to prepare the food so I called in ahead. I ordered the chicken tikki masala, naan, and white rice (which they charge $1 for even if you order the chicken). The tikki masala really wasn't that good. It lacked flavor but was still edible. Also the naan had no flavor. It was fluffy and seemed fresh but didn't have any butter or garlic flavor to it. I wouldn't come back here. read more

The aleppey fish curry was just so great. The beef fry was really good too although I've had better. The kappa biriyani was also not bad. The karimeen fry was a disappoinment. I guess this is mostly because the fish was frozen for days and also the masala could have had more flavour. The beef cutlet was not so great. I expected it to be more spicy, it just fell flat. Well... on an easy Saturday we find this place, we checked the rating & went there. I always love to hit the hole in the wall ones. I was excited about this place. We ordered Chicken roast, okra masala, parota, egg fry. The food tastes good but I don't understand the justification the shop owner provided for using cheap & non authentic indian ingredients. The spices are authentic for sure. We find the okras used are the frozen ones from Walmart or Costco (Justification was , they have catering as their primary motto hence no way they can take hassle of cutting fresh veggies) , the onions used in the curries are the sweetest ones (can't believe they don't afford the red ones for more authentic taste). Now, let me come to the Hospitality point, I was surprised that they don't offer water also on the house as a courtesy(Sorry folks, if this sounds silly from my side)& charge for that. That too in an Indian Keralian restaurant. Anyways !! Sorry, I understand that you have a great business with catering, but you loose a customer for sure. This place is really good!! We have been twice in the last three weeks and we have tried 4 different dishes, all delicious. Also give you plenty of food, had leftovers both times. The lady is very friendly and helpful with descriptions and they cook to your preferred spice level. First time we went with 5, second time with 7, probably need to be at 6!!! Due to the UGA vs Alabama game we decided not to venture into downtown but instead drive 45min to Keral Kitchen. I am so excited to have made this decision. One sign that this is an authentic place is that of the 20 or so people who came to pick up or eat in the restaurant we were the only americans. Most everyone was Indian. When you arrive you have to press a button on the counter in order for them to come out of the kitchen to take your order. You order at the counter. It was a female who took our order. I am assuming she was a co-owner. She was very nice and helpful. We ordered a vegetable samosa (best I've ever had) a masal dosa (best I've ever had, but I've never had this before), chicken tika masala (amazing), vegetable biryani, and an order of Naan. The only thing that was not exceptional was the Naan. I'm pretty sure that they do not have a Tandoori oven and thus the Naan is not cooked in one. Of note, they did not give us any white rice, possibly because we had ordered the biryani, but when I asked about this when I was getting boxes to take the leftovers home, she provided me with two containers of rice. So you might just have to ask. I can't wait to return to this place and try other dishes. I had my mother with me on this trip instead of my wife and thus was not as adventurous as I might otherwise have been. The place was also very clean. read more

Phenomenal authentic Indian food! We ordered vegetable samosas and beef cutlet for appetizer-the sauces were so tasty! You gotta have the porotta bread, you won't get this at other Indian restaurants. My favorite was the chicken tiki masala medium heat- flavorful and great kick.
