Weed smoking everywhere, very ghetto. Horrible service. Not a lounge, they act like a club.

We visited Mitza for a celebration being inducted into my sorority. A key few things to note; Parking is limited. They charge $50 for up front parking! Insane!! We are not downtown so prime pricing for parking is insane to me. Reserved bookings: We booked a section for the party, and then purchased an additional area as we had more people than expected in our party. The employees kept bringing people over in our section - double booking the sections. It was the same employee! I will never understand how you overbook paid sections! Also, the waitress was really nice but she took forever. To the point I had to follow her back to the bar to get a bottle of water after waiting over an hour. I saw another person in a section being walked out probably because of the obvious - dehydration since our waitresses never return... In addition to what I'm accustomed to from this place - the DJ was not playing good hits. When I finally got my food, I asked for the check and she came back almost instantly!! With the gratuity already added it makes it very difficult to give a fair tip. I'm not sure what that was about but I'm most likely not coming back for a while. read more

They prioritized people who were receiving bottle service so everyone else has to either stand around the bar or go downstairs where it isn't as busy and a little boring. Servers were not really nice, but there was one that I spoke to that was kind and very willing to help. The ambiance was okay. Looked forward to a great night out to celebrate a birthday. Unfortunately, this was NOT met here. After 45 minutes of waiting in a section that was pre paid with a $150 deposit we still had no server. Multiple employees randomly walked in the section stating they did not know who our server was. Once we ordered 2 bottles of don julio repo which should have been $500 together they charged us $630+ and no one could explain where the extra fees were coming from. Where did the deposit money even go? Once they were asked multiple times about the fraudulent charge the owner sent 4 security guards to kick the entire section out, stating we would not be getting any money back! Everything was fine. This lounge is definitely for people over the age of 40. The food was okay. Everything is about average except the service, the servers were great and made me feel welcomed. Not because they're not clean but because it's time for remodeling. As a woman, I'd hold it before I go in there. ALSO They are charging some bogus 3.5% extra on top of your bill. The only bad spot was our waitress we spent a lot of money but she SUCKED as far as service drinks took 30 minutes if she didn't forget them all together and have to go back and she had the nerve to have a STANK attitude on top that for no apparent reason besides I'm assuming being young and mentally challenged ain't no way in hell me and the crew is EVER going back to this place just for that reason. Be careful if your drink seems too strong it is probably drugged!!!!! My husband and I went here just to chill at a random Sunday we wanted somewhere to smoke hookah eat some food and maybe have a drink or two. We both ordered a Long Island, a hookah and some food. After our first drink our bill came with two extra drinks that we did not order on there. I put it out to the bartender and she apologized and told me she would remove them. She asked us if we wanted another drink while we were still hanging out we both decided, "oh why not" so when she came back with the second time she brought us our drinks, my drink seems stronger and so after a few sips I couldn't really drink it so I ended up giving my husband the majority of my drink. By the time we left my husband was pretty drunk, which I thought was super weird because he drinks on a regular and his drink of choice is Long Island I never after two has he been drunk... I put it off to all maybe the drinks were strong, but I believe something more nefarious is going on. So halfway down the road my husband realizes that he left his wallet there which is at this point 6 minutes away from Mirza, so we call them twice and no one answers. We checked the tracker in his wallet and it says it's still at Mirza. So we turned around and go back and when we get there we informed the security guard of what's going on and all the sudden the tracker goes blank. And they pretend to look outside where we were sitting like we accidentally threw behind a bush or something like that.. I informed him that it was sitting on the table we were the only patrons sitting outside. By this time my husband is acting out of character he is usually a very mellow person and he's being aggressive and rude and belligerent. And I'm like okay we need to deal with this later I'm going to call the cops and we're going to take care of this at a later date because I have never seen him this way. What we think happened: when we first got there and my husband and I went to the bar to ask if we could sit outside. The bartender was very nice and told us that we could. We sat out there for a little while and nobody came out to serve us so my husband went back in there to get a drinks. He says he opened his wallet which had $1,800 cash in it (we were supposed to go to cruise so he had removed it for his account and we were going to deposit it into mine) the bartender spoke with him and said don't worry about it we'll bring your drinks out. So I didn't notice before but even though he ordered for the both of us they brought his drink out first and then they brought my drink out. So I think they had already drugged his drink. I think initially it was just to not notice when the bill came out about $50 more dollars and it was supposed to be. But then when she offered us a second drink I think she drugged both of our drinks since I was the one to notice the discrepancy in the receipt. The drink felt super strong after the first couple of steps I took and so I ended up getting at least half to my husband which means that my husband ended up having two and a half drugged drinks. I believe this was a scheme from the beginning to be able to get my husband's wallet and to get us to be careless. My husband was sick for two whole days, I wish I would have gotten him to go to the hospital or a doctor to see if he had been drugged to be able to prove that the bartenderd drugged my husband. I will still be making a police report, and we'll have them take a look at the video footage. To see if they can see anything amiss. read more

This was literally and by far the WORST place I've ever been to. First, I bought a section and had to wait an HOUR for service. It took for me to complain about still having no waitress to get assistance and when they finally did send someone, it was a damn hookah girl serving us because they said they had to find us a waitress! On top of that and worst of all, they STEAL your money and the moment you point it out, they'll kick you out. I was given an itemized receipt and paid with cash and a card. They added an additional $140 when they ran my card after gratuity was already included in the original amount that was on my receipt. When I asked where the extra money charged came from, the waitress told me she honestly didn't know and when we did the calculations together she was stuck and said it didn't make sense to her either. I told her that was an unacceptable answer and to go get their manager/owner. She came back and told me that he said "that's just what it is"...WTF kinda answer is that!??? I told her absolutely not, and to tell them to come speak to us now! Next thing we know, security comes and kicks us out. We get outside and we're told by one of their workers that the price on the menu is inaccurate and that the fees came from the bottles not being priced correctly and how they have an additional service charge on top of their gratuity charge (like HUH?). They were trying to find whatever ways to make the extra money "add up" but the plan didn't work and the lies kept getting worse. To no avail, the bottle girl "manager" came outside and countered what he said by saying that the prices on the menu are INDEED ACCURATE and she didn't know why we were told otherwise by that security guy. He told her not to say anything else to us and to go back inside and let him handle it once the lie was uncovered right in our faces! I've literally never ever witnessed blatant scamming like this in my life. PLEASE RUN AWAY FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT! Thank God I have the evidence needed to report them properly! Highly recommended, this was my first time in Atlanta and I couldn't imagine a better vibe introduction than this. The food was so delicious, tender & juicy blackened salmon served on a bed of rice with fresh broccoli to compliment. Definitely wasn't expecting this quality of food at a hookah lounge. The hookah itself was great and I loved the customer service, the server made sure to bring fresh coals right on time. The drinks are good & strong no watered down disappointment whatsoever. Staff is very friendly and accommodating in addition to a clean facility the vibe is just so on point I will be returning soon. read more

Long story short the bartender charged me for a Cuban mojito which was 12. When she brought me the receipt back she charged me the amount of $16 and some change. if i could give -5 stars i would. we reserved our section for NYE about 2 weeks in advanced. we were told we were going to be given a section with 2 couches that can hold 16 people, so we invited that amout. we checked with them multiple times to see if we got that exact section and every time they told us yes. fast forward to last night, we get there with all of our people and the first security gaurd tells us that we have to pay $20 to get it. When we reserved the section ahead of time, we were told to be there by 11pm, it was only 10:20pm. we ended up not having to pay but we didn't get in until 11pm! we go into the club for our section and they gave us a section that could fit about 4 people!!!! we had 10+ people!!! after having to hunt the bottle girl down, we were told that we had to buy 4 bottles in order to get a 2 couch section when originally we were told we only had to purchase 2. Another bottle girl comes over and tells us that we did have the 2 couch section but there weren't any left so she also gave us the section in front of us ( another 4 person section). we agreed on it and pushed the couch back so we could have more room ( they could not turn the couch around). after the countdown and everyone was finally having fun, the owner comes VERY RUDELY, and tells us to move so he can put the couch back for another group to sit. we explained to them that it was apart of our section, and he basically SHOVED us with the couch. when we went to look for him, he disappeared and the security guards said that he didn't want to speak to us. never coming back, and you shouldn't waste your time at this poorly ran establishment. read more

This place is a good time if you want to choke on smoke and get accidental chargers. The bouncers outside we're the highlight of this place. (There is s coverage charge of $10/person). As you as you enter you're covered in smoke. If you wanted hookah, there's no way. I saw people using hookah on top of the bar. YIKES. Also, beware of the bartenders. Cool lil happy hour. If you want affordable hookah and drinks the happy hour is 12-8. The service was okay, nothing to brag about. I had to go and get a waiter after sitting outside for a few minutes. The food was pretty bland to me. How ever for the prices u get wat pay for. It's not amazing tasting food but it's not bad either. I loved the hookah. I had wings which were plated beautifully! My cousin had Alfredo it looked delicious but she said it was just okay. I was going to come back here but after reading someone say they got drugged I'm second guessing. I can agree that my drink was super strong. I even asked for grenadine to sweeten it because it was stronger than normal. I honestly believe they are giving out really cheap alcohol over what your asking for. I don't feel as if I was drugged. I worked at a lounge before and after we ran out patron/casamigo for example we would fill the bottles back up with very cheap tequila. I'm not saying that's what's happening here but I'm trying to wrap my mind around the alcohol situation and I think that's probably what's going on. This was by far the worst Hookah lounge I have ever encountered; And I enjoy lounges alot. First off let me start by saying walking into the place it is very beautiful, but besides that everything else was shit. The bartender gave us a menu with prices on our drinks and instead of charging menu prices she gave us her own prices. A drink that cost $9 was bumped up to about $12 or $13. When I had asked her about it, she had a nasty attitude and ended saying this is how much its going to be take it or leave it! I spoke to a manager about the pricing and he somehow wasnt surprised by it by his response When we requested a hookah, there was mold in our water and the waitress didnt even make sure our coals were lit. U like most places that wait for you to smoke your hookah some and then bring you the bill, she told us we had to pay as soon as we get the hookah, to make sure we dont run out on the bill I'm guessing, however most hookah bars dont operate that way. The place was packed to capacity and people aren't allowed to sit unless they buy $100 bottle of their liquor( which you probably could get for $20-$40 at an actual liquor store). So the place was packed with a shitload of empty seats that no one was allowed to sit it. All the waitresses (except for one guy and a darker skinned woman) at the bar had horrible attitudes. The owner of the lounge just walks around confused knowing that his guests are having a horrible experience, but as long as hes making money it doesn't matter. And side note: the uniforms that the waitresses wear look like 70s exercise spandex with the ass out on some. This place has definitely changed for the worse. I've been a patron for about 5 years and I can say they've definitely updated and gotten nicer but the hospitality, cleanliness, and prices have fallen by the wayside. read more

I met a friend of mine at this place a few weeks back during the day time and really enjoyed myself so I decided to try it again later on. Went back on a Saturday night to have a few drinks and some appetizers. It had a good time. The music is a mix between today's hip hop and early 90's. There's two sides you can sit on. One is RSVP on the weekends and the other is open seating based on a first come first serve bases. I don't hookah but that is available for those that do with someone who's continuously walking around replacing the coal. The bad part about things is the ladies that take your order or who assist you seem to often mix up your cards with someone else's. Which could be a bad situation. When I say I don't leave reviews but I had to today... I went to this lounge and I didn't reserve a table but the server told me I could buy a bottle and I would get a table. So I bought a bottle just for them to move me to another table and when she did another server was like this is my table to me like I work there. I was told to move there. Then she told me if someone else comes I'm going to have to move again which was so confusing because my server told me if I bought a bottle I would get a table. So this review is strictly about their Indian food and to-go fees. So we put together an order for 5 nurses at Gwinnett Medical for pick up. A bunch of butter chicken and some naan. The butter chicken was good. I mean not out of this world but better than I would expect from a place that had tacos and burgers also on their menu. The naan was small (about 4") and hard. The garlic in it had no flavor what-so-ever. Compared to the other places around the naan was a huge disappointment. Overall, I would consider giving it another shot if it wasn't for my next point... They added on 22% gratuity for to-go orders... Yes, 22%!!! In addition to that, they charged us an additional 1% of the total bill for paying with a credit card. First off, these fees are NOWHERE on their website that I can find. And, second, 23% in gratuity and fees?!? WTF? We always tip 10-15% on food we order but to impose a 23% extra? I mean 18% is industry standard if we are a party of 6 dining in... 23% you got to be out of your mind. So, to the owners and management, if you read this, just know that you post the business of this floor of the hospital and any other floor these nurses might speak to. First of all, I try to Support Gwinnett businesses so that I don't have to drive all the way to Atlanta and at first it was OK but now the food,the service,the drinks and the hookah are subpar. Your promotion says one thing and then you get there and your server says another even after asking multiple questions to clarify before hand. Mirza Hookah Lounge is located in Lawrenceville. GA. I went with Crystal H. on a Friday night and there was no cover to go in. The Hookah is reasonably priced at $20 for unlimited coals and usage so that was good. The music was also very good and there was a live DJ for the first two hours until the system kinda crashed and then they just play music. Besides Hookah, we also tried the Nan bread and hummus. The Nan Bread was pretty dry and it tasted better with the Ranch and Hummus but more with the ranch. My only complaints about this business is that the service is really slow. I would order and not get my foods till 45 minutes later. Also, they don't ask you specifically what you ordered but assumed then charged you for the higher price one. For instance, we ordered a side of hummus, which should be $2. Instead what we got was a hummus and a small nan bread for $6. When we were later charged for this, our waitress argued with us and since I am tired by then I just pay it and moved on. Also, besides the food taking a long long time, the coal refills and asking for other stuff also took a minimum of 30 minutes to be delivered. If you are going in with a large party and on a weekend, please just go ahead and ask for everything in advance or be prepare to wait around. I've been speaking with Ricky about throwing my husband a birthday party. I contacted him through Facebook and he responded back right away. He was very professional and answered all 100 questions that I had lol. I went to see which section I wanted and he was very accommodating. He said he would move some couches around, add some pillows and even give my husband a shot, that supposedly cost $30. I never heard of it, but I thought that was very kind. He walked me around and allowed me to look at everything. I had certain requests and he was willing to make it happen. He even offered me a drink while I was there, since I lived about 5 minutes away, I didn't want my husband to ask why I got back so soon. He introduced me to the waitress and she was sweet. I got a good vibe from her and told her as well a few things that I wanted. I'm really big on customer service and so far they have been really good. The party is this upcoming Saturday and I'm looking forward to seeing how things turn out. I will be sure to post a review and add a few pictures as well. Oh, I also have a special cake that is being delivered and he didn't have a problem with accepting the cake, even though I wouldn't be there until later that night & I can also decorate our sections.. They were playing really good music, my drink was really good and the place also stays open until 3am, which is hard to find in Lawrenceville. I'm very excited!! I was super excited upon entering this place it was a VIBE. I went on a Wednesday night it was Rnb and Hip hop, the Dj was dope. I was looking forward towards making this my new spot until.. I got a Cuban Mojito and honey it was sour as hell, unlike any mojito I've ever had. The server I had was inattentive so any questions and concerns I had went delayed. The hookah became harsh and burned quickly by the time my server came around, she suggested I get a refill ($10) I thought that was unfair considering so I asked to speak with management who basically told me I waited to long to bring up any problems so sucks to suck. We made a reservation for a table ($50 minimum purchase) there was a small complication with our reservation but our waitress Nina figured everything out for us. We got one large hookah $20 w/ $10 refill. We ordered 2 pitchers $25 each. The staff was super nice the music was loud and playlist was decent. I want to give them 5 stars because I never really had to ask for anything like water, or new coals. We were there from 9:30-1 and they replaced our coal like 6 times! You can't get a table here unless you spend $200 for bottle (when it used to be free to sit) and there's not a place to stand or dance if you don't want to pay that much to sit down. It's $10 at the door and you can't even get your money back if you decide to leave after learning how things work. Based on the size and location of this place it's unreasonable to charge that much for a seat. You basically have to line up outside at 8pm if you want to enjoy Mirza. Mirza Hookah Lounge is located in a very convenient location in lawrenceville for those who don't want to make the 25 minute trip to Atlanta to smoke hookah. I have been to this venue 2 times. My first time at Mirza was unexpected but delightful. The hookah was great. Waitress was very friendly and music was awesome for a Saturday night. My friends and I left until they closed and had a pleasant time. I left with the impression that I would be back soon. Unfortunately as for my second visit to Mirza, it was anything but delightful. Group of friends and I arrived at about 2am. They close at 3am but we didn't mind as we were trying to kill an hour and thought it'd be perfect to sit back and smoke some hookah. As soon as we got there there was so many security gaurds outside. Which is understandable and actually reassuring for fellow clients, but at the same time I felt as they were looking down upon us. As if they'd never seen human beings before. Walking into Mirza I had no knowledge that it was "seat yourself" venue. I hadn't recalled from my first visit. It's not vital but very pleasant when a host or hostess greets and welcomes you into an atmosphere. You don't walk into a dental office and "seat yourself". Nevertheless, we sat ourselves and our waitress approaches us and it was quite difficult to hear her as we were right next to a speaker. We ordered our mint hookah. Which the first time had left me with an outstanding impression. Hookah arrived at great time. Unfortunately every intake was nothing but coughs and itch throat. Gross! I'd ask my friend if he can start the hookah as maybe i was being a little too sensitive since I'm not a regular smoker. When the hookah got back to me it was even worst! HE couldn't even bare the burning sensation to the throat. At that instant I suggested we leave. It was about 2:25 and I didn't want to get the hookah fixed because it seemed time consuming to me, as they were closing down already. Which leads me to say how disgusting and unprofessional it looks for a waitress to be walking around with a moping bucket and acting like she was about to mop while people were still inside and dancing. I can understand wanting to leave work and get things shut down but being unprofessional is not the way to do it. Anyways the hookah (tall) was $20 on the menu. We left $20 on the table and left. As we were walkig to the car i turn around because I hear our waitress tell a security "they didnt pay their tab" I instantly walked back and the security guard generously lets me know to clarify. I walk in and what seems to be the manager was at our table and he asked me "is everything ok" I responded to him saying "our waitress says we didnt pay our tab but we left cash on the table". He said "oh ok" very nicely. My friend then picks up the cash and takes it to her register. She then says "it's $25". Im baffled she's changing the price!!!!!! Even if taxes are included it definitely wouldn't be $25 exact as she charged. She was obviously upset she didn't get tipped for her horible service. Very calmly my friend gives her another $5. Although it wasn't very professional to leave the cash on the table and walk out, still if we had great customer service to begin with it would have not been a problem. I'm a very generous tiper. However when customer service is not up to par it's difficult being generous. I work with patients as well as clients. I must say although I have my tough moments, Great customer service one shall never lack! Don't know if I will be returning here.
