My stylist did a great job with my haircut, and I could tell she's efficient and experienced. That said, I did run into an issue with the color service. The dye left visible staining along my hairline, temples/sideburn area, and behind my ears, which I wasn't informed about until after everything was done and I saw it in the mirror. The stylist did try to remove it, but it didn't come off easily, so I left with noticeable staining on my skin. I understand that things can happen, especially with different products, but I do wish there had been more communication in the moment and a more thorough final check/cleanup before I left the salon, especially since the staining was visible in multiple areas. Unfortunately, I'm not very comfortable waiting for it to fade on its own, and I'm also not inclined to return for a future service. Overall, I think this place has a lot going for it, but I hope they can improve the finishing process and post-service support so clients don't leave with unexpected issues. UPDATE: (response to Business Owner response) Thank you for the response, Emily. I appreciate you taking the feedback into consideration. I understand that staining can sometimes happen, but my concern was more around the visibility in multiple areas and that it wasn't fully addressed before I left. I've had my hair colored many times in the past and haven't experienced this level of staining, which is why it stood out to me. I came in and was greeted by someone right away and led to the back to get a robe on over my clothes and then right away to the shampooing station. Then hop on to the salon chair. I showed my stylist the inspo pictures I wanted, and he got to cutting right away. Now, I'm painfully shy, and I've usually been to other salons where everyone is talking and the stylists are chatty, but here it is super quiet. So it wasn't a good salon for me, as I find it hard to speak up unless spoken to first, but everyone was nice, and the haircut was fine and pretty fast. If you want a quick and quiet haircut for a decent price, I would go here.

My "senior stylist," Evelyn, wasn't available until 40 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. During that wait, I was offered water once, but I repeatedly had to ask how much longer it would be because the staff kept saying "soon" without giving me any actual estimate. When the appointment finally started, I showed Evelyn a reference photo and clearly explained my daily hair routine. I told her I don't use styling products, don't heat style my hair, and simply wash it and let it air dry. Instead of cutting my hair to suit that lifestyle, she used texturizing products and spent a significant amount of time styling it. I even mentioned that I would never recreate that styling at home because it isn't part of my routine. The finished haircut looked nothing like the reference photo. At the time, the heavy styling disguised just how bad the cut actually was. The salon gave me a $20 new-client discount, and I specifically told them to apply that amount toward the stylist's tip. Instead, they processed a separate $21.18 tip. While it's not the biggest issue in this experience, it was not what I authorized. The real disaster became apparent after I washed my hair at home. The styling products had been hiding an incredibly poor haircut. The layers are uneven and completely unblended. There are obvious chunks of hair missing, and the entire cut sits lopsided. It is nothing like what I requested or what I was shown in the mirror after it had been heavily styled. I'm now left with a haircut that is genuinely embarrassing to wear and will likely require another stylist to spend months correcting. Between the excessive wait, poor communication, unauthorized tip charge, and one of the worst haircuts I've ever received, this was an incredibly disappointing experience. I absolutely cannot recommend this salon.

It was loud (not a biggie) so we got some great ol fashioneds at the bar, then inched our way to center dance floor where we didn't stop dancing to the band til 1 pm when they stopped.....we had so much fun, we (and others) wanted them to keep playing. It did cost me $25 cover (wife was free). I was ok with this. i think before 9 it's free to get in. Amazing night.

I highly recommend him, so ask for him by name if you are booking or doing a walk in! The interior really is very cool, great to have a true barbershop feel to enjoy rather than the bland and clinical interiors of most modern chains or shops. It's fun looking at all the decor, including some of the more fun items on display, it all just adds to the overall experience. It's also reasonably priced, though be aware this is a cash only establishment, so no cards, but they do have an ATM. Overall, Good Times Barbershop lives up to its name. It is always a great experience coming here and I highly recommend this business.

Having never had a Keratin treatment before, Vanessa being an utmost professional, was patient in answering all my questions and walking me thru the before and aftercare steps, along with my repetitive questions. Vanessa has a fabulous personality to match her professionalism! The time spent in her chair was relaxing, enjoyable and passed in what seemed like seconds (but was actually a couple hours). I look forward to being in her presence again and highly recommended her to all who have asked (which is many considering the former curly woman they know me as ) who I got my "hair did" by. I found Vanessa on Yelp. I intentionally wanted a Brazilian Blow Out. Keratin Specialist is what caught my eye. Vanessa was able to get me in with a requested week's notice. She was very friendly and such a good conversationalist, which made me feel comfortable and made it go by fast! She was very knowledgeable and was open to questions. You could tell she loves what she does and takes pride in her profession. My hair turned out perfect as expected. I definitely recommend her to anyone looking for long lasting frizz free hair. I had my first Keratin treatment with Vanessa back in September of last year. And I absolutely loved it! I prefer wearing my hair natural (about a 3B curl), but have dealt with a lot of frizz as it's gotten longer. Vanessa's treatment tamed the frizziness and softened my curls better than I imagined. This not only made styling a lot easier in the morning, but also made my hair look longer as the curls weren't as tight (but still held their pattern). I brought a photo to Sherri, of the style I wanted to get, angled bob. She cut my hair, and used a lot of thinning shears, instead of the precision cut layering. I did not like it. She attempted to fix it, but could not. She does not know how to cut thin hair! But she has a nice personality, and I think with more training she can do better. I would not go back to her. I think she should also ask a client if they are OK with photos being taken. She took a number of photos of my haircut, under protest. I asked to see my haircut in the mirror with a smaller mirror reflection, she would not honor it. I think taking photos of people without their permission is a violation of their human rights.

I told her that I specifically didn't want my top layers cut shorter - I really just wanted the bottom level blended up so my hair had some shape. That's it. I reiterated how long I had been growing my hair out and that I didn't want to take away length. (I spent over two heard growing my hair out after having to chop it all off.) My hair is SO much shorter now - and the actual cut is NOT good. It's okay (not great) for wearing curly but I told her specifically that I needed to be able to wear it both straight and curly. I washed and straightened it today and it looks AWFUL. Like, truly terrible. There are random long pieces of hair and the back is so thinned out that it just looks scraggly. It's not just my opinion - I asked my (very honest) friends and they all agreed. Even more than the bad cut, I felt very frustrated when I was in the chair because every time I tried to explain what I wanted, it felt like she wouldn't let me talk - she'd start into a story about someone or something else. I tried explaining several times that my hair was a lot curlier than it looked, because I had pulled it back to work out. I also explained that I straighten my hair a LOT and it was really important that it looked good straight as well. It's like she didn't hear anything I said. Most stylists spend the first 5-10 minutes just listening to the client about what they want. I didn't get that chance. She mentioned several times that she is very artistic and doesn't follow a specific guideline for cutting hair - I probably should have just left but I read all the reviews and thought she had magical powers. I know that it's "just hair" and that it will grow back, but it's a service I paid for - and I'm very frustrated with what I received. I had to go to ANOTHER salon and pay for a second haircut just to fix it. The pic you see here is after I had straightened and curled it at home...you can see the weird rat tail and random long pieces of hair.
