Thing I liked about it it's extremely clean and floors are nicely polished and the ambiance is sweet. So we decided to sit at a booth the waiter was E very friendly Ivan helped us get seated. He then approached us and said what we would like to have to drink, And I decided to have the Chai Latte with froth. I had the eggs Benedict, with fried chicken breast with a side of pancakes and bacon, that were on the menu. Called Tres Leches pancakes. Absolutely, delicious five star taste, with real maple syrup. Then ordered biscuits and gravy with chicken fried topped with eggs Benedict. A feast for kings, mind you the pancakes were a generous portion and we all were humbled by the plates of abundance. The wife and I came here on Easter Sunday and was able to beat the crowds to have some delicious breakfast. I ordered the Veggie Burger, my wife ordered the Pesto Salmon, and we shared the pancake flight. My Burger was delicious! It had both avocado and queso on it, making it great and I had some of the Brussel sprouts that came with her salmon and those were outstanding! Love me some Kerbey Lane! This location holds up the standard set at the others I've toured around Austin. It's obviously more Westlake-esque than the original location, but it's still Kerbey. The food is as good as any other location and better than any other breakfast spot! The Kerbey queso is a must. One of my friends tried to order hummus (also very good) to start and his family revolted and demanded Kerbey queso. They were right. I try not to eat too many carbs anymore so I was salivating over the huge, fluffy pancakes their kids got. But the breakfast tacos are very good and have protein, yay. They have lunch/dinner food too, but I can't speak to that because I always get breakfast. I'm sure it's all wonderful diner food. They were slow and service was super attentive. I've been here a few times, and the food is okay, not as good as the original location on Kerbey Lane. The eggs are pretty average and I haven't gotten them again. The one item at this location that surpassed my expectations was the Cinnamon Swirl Pancakes! They tasted just like cinnamon rolls in pancake form, and the glaze was absolutely delicious. We come here at least once a week for lunch. The food is consistently good, but what brings us back is the outside patio and fenced in playground. We've befriended a lovely server, Miranda and she is so sweet with the kids and knows our order before we ask for it. As for the food, the queso is good- pretty mild and the kids enjoy it. My wife and I have been to this location twice now and I'd say we have a mixed experience, but would overall recommend giving this location a visit. First, the restaurant itself gives a standard diner vibe. It's a spacious location with plenty of seating, which limits wait time. That's a plus. The service has been great both times we've eaten here. They miss the mark, for me, when it comes to their Eggs Benedict. This is one of those meals that's an instant order for me anywhere I go. Both times I've ordered a different variation of their Eggs Benedict and both times the eggs have been severely overcooked. It's disappointing because it defeats one of the main appeals of an Eggs Benedict. However, I will caveat by saying that this could be due to timing as both times we've gone has been closer to lunch time on a Sunday. Besides the eggs, the rest of my meal has been enjoyable. My wife, a ranch connoisseur, told me to give them an extra star based on their ranch alone. She has really enjoyed both meals she's ordered, and I'd agree that her food has been very tasty. Take pork chop. Put a spice mix on it. Saute said chop and put blackberry compote on top. What can be bad? * * * Well, Kitchen Mistakes are generally bad. Somehow, industrial quantities of salt got on my pork chop. Someone didn't mix the salt into the dish evenly when making the spice mix. Alternatively, someone accidentally went ker-dump-o when salting the pork chop on the grill. The result was unpleasant. Blackberry compote covered up the problem but not enough to make the dish good. Brussel sprouts were neutral - which in this case, made them the star of the show. * * * Stick to the standard items and you are probably okay here. If not ... My husband and I decided to go to breakfast this morning. We drove up, parked, and went into the restaurant. After going into the restaurant we waited by the host stand. We actually waited for a little more than 5 minutes and then someone showed up, greeted us with a smile and seated us very quickly. The booth we were seated at had just been cleaned and was a little damp when I sat down but luckily it dried fast. After a few minutes the waiter brought us our menus and took our drink order. He gave us some time to look at the menu and then returned after a few minutes to bring our drinks and take our order. I ordered an apple juice and some water to drink. For my meal I ordered the Crispy Chicken Benedict which is a biscuit, fried chicken, poached egg, hollandaise, green chili sauce and onions. I ordered it without the hollandaise. This was a really tasty choice. The poached egg was good and when I cut into it the yolk ran on the chicken and biscuit. The chicken was tender but I couldn't really taste the biscuit as it softened up with all of the ingredients on top of it. The green chili sauce is what gives it a lot of flavor. I liked the combination of ingredients. I also ordered a side of bacon. The bacon was okay. I prefer my bacon crispy but it was more chewy than crispy but it was still okay. I tried my husband's French toast and it was really good covered in syrup. It was a nice sweet addition to my flavorful meal.
