If I could give zero stars I would. I went to get an X-ray done for my son and was told there is a women's only section and was not allowed to be there for my baby because I am a man. He is 3 months old and needs his parents to be present. Horrible experience here would not recommend as they are very sexist and discriminatory. DO NOT LIke their call center, they hire out sound like someone in their home in another country ... horrible customer service on the phone. BRING BACK THE PREVIOUS OWNERS OF KERN RAD!!! NEW OWNERS ARE HORRIBLE. The San Dimas location's waiting room is D.I.S.G.U.S.T.I.N.G ... stinks like old Urine ... the carpets are so gross I didn't even want to walk on them. I need to lie down im in severe pain hence the EMERGENCY MRI and yet im still sitting here waiting and everyone has come and gone before and after me so very irritaed to say the least hate is not even a good word for this KR will not come here again and suggest u dont either at least not for an MRI OR ANYTHING IMPORTANT!! read more

Went there on 7/ 18/25 @ 7:55 A.M. because I called the day before ,being told I couldn't make an appointment on line for an xray, Only to get told we don't have any Tecs. But we can book you for July 29th. Any other facilities have openings? No they are full. How is every place full at that early of a morning. The call center is ridiculous! They have people who can barely speak English. They sound robotic and read off a script. The quality of customer has degraded tremendously. It takes a long time to schedule an appointment because of a language barrier and they don't have any availability for a STAT MRI. I preferred Truxtun Radiology before it merged with Kern Radiology. Very friendly and informative technical staff. The procedure was not painful. It would be nice if medical science could come up with a way to diagnose breasts without pressing them flat. The actual biopsy and numbing was very easy to withstand, however, sitting awkwardly while pressed into a machine was the only uncomfortable part about it. Thank You Kern Radiology!! read more

Kern Radiology outsources its calls to another country. If you want to talk to someone at the facility you went to, good luck. It's not going to happen. I have called several times in the last week and got three different answers to my question and none were correct. They simply do not know what they are doing. I even asked for domestic help, but that didn't happen either. If I could have talked to someone at the facility, I'm sure my questions would have been addressed. But they rather pay cheap labor instead of giving their patients good service. You would think they would put patient over profit. I'm so mad right now. I had an 8:15 appointment, an hour and 45 minutes later, I'm still waiting to be seen. When I asked how much longer, I was told the pathologist isn't even here yet and it's a two hour appointment. Why in the heck would they schedule an appointment like that! I have an illness that causes me extrem fatigueness and wasting my time like this is just not okay. I could have been at home resting. I got there early and had to wait! Very uncomfortable... the person doing the ultrasound was awesome!! My issue is billing. No staff everything takes 48 hours if you miss the call you wait another 48 hrs. I paid upfront my copayment and still they are sending me a bill . According to my EOB they are over charging! If you can't get it right then wait until I get my explanation of benefits and I will pay what is owed!! What a waste of everybody's time. read more

So a month ago my husband had a 9cm aneurysm w/ a leak and needed to have emergency surgery to stop the leak. Then 2 weeks later went to have a CT scan done to make sure it was good. We got the report back saying that radiologist read that he has a leak and that it was vital that he gets it repaired. We were like what! So it scared us that it maybe still leaking. Well long story short the radiologist has read the report previous to his surgery. But wouldn't change it or do an addendum. And the surgeon said she saw the views and they all looked good and not to worry. That radiologist never contacted the Dr. Still to this day like a month later. read more

I've always used Kern Radiology without any problems. If my insurance didn't cover, I would pay the balance at the time of service. This month, January, in the EXACT SAME WEEK I received a letter from a collections agency AND the first bill from Kern Radiology. The bill was for one year ago. It didn't say late or final notice, just gave the amount due. SO BOTH COLLECTIONs AND RADIOLOGY BILLING SENT THE SAME day! And even better, have you tried to contact kern radiology billing? Impossible! I've called almost every day. Here's what you get: an operator in another country with no comprehension of my problem. When I asked to get sent to an office in California, I was connected to Georgia and they could not help. Last Thursday and Friday each call resulted in a messsge telling me that the mailbox I was calling was full. I tried calling a scheduling person locally hoping they could route me to the right office. The kind girl that answered did listen and said she would send my name to billing and let them know that I REALLY need a call back. That was Monday. It's now Thursday and no call. Even if I believed that the previous bills were lost, why didn't they just collect when I was in for a procedure in December? Update: Kern Radiology contacted me and I appreciate it, and a resolution is in the process. If everything ends up resolved, I'll again update. FYI Kern Radiology, I shouldn't need to go to the extreme of leaving a negative review on Yelp. read more

I have not been happy with this Kern Radiology. I had an appointment for a biopsy on June 13. I was very nervous and anxious to get this over with. After three months of many test such as MRI, Pet scans, CT scans. This was something that we have waited for. My husband decided to take me on a trip to Kernville to get my mind off things and make the day go quicker. The minute we stepped foot in the restaurant guess who calls!? Kern radiology to cancel my appointment that I have been nervously waiting for. This is a Wednesday they called for my Thursday appointment. Said they cancelled because they didn't receive the medicine needed to sedate me. This has been scheduled for a long time. No excuse for this to happen. They said they would have the medicine on Thursday some time but couldn't get me in for Friday because they only do two biopsy's a day and they are already booked. I said this is your fault why can you not fit me in?? They said they will do their best to get me in the following week. I would have to wait another week for this biopsy is absolutely crazy. Well I talked to a Doctor and to an employee of Kern Radiology and they said the person suppose to order medicine didn't do it. They dropped the ball. Well I can tell you if this was their family member or friend this wouldn't have happened. So they finally called and set up appointment for June 20. I was to be there at 10:30 for 11:15 table time. I was there on time and when they called me back to go over paperwork, I was told they are behind and would probably not be taken before 12. Guess why?? Because they had 4 biopsy's that day and I was number 4. Really? I was told only 2 biopsy's a day and that's why I couldn't come in earlier, even with their mistake. Just one more thing. When I went back to get IV the best part and only reasons for three stars is Laura the nurse is the sweetest thing. She was calming, and patient at a very scary time me. The people in the procedure room were very nice. It is definitely not a fun procedure and I hope I never have to go through it again. Also I learned some information that Kern Radiology was bought out by Radnet and they are going through major growing pains. They were not prepared for the amount of patients that this faculty sees and they only allot a certain amount of medication. The medication would run out by Wednesday and they were left scrambling to borrow medicine from other facilities. I don't think I will ever use Kern Radiology again. I think I will go back to Quest diagnostics. read more

"Be here at 10 your table time is 10:30" Arrived at 10 had paperwork done in just a couple minutes still sat for 2 hours while watching Everybody in the lobby go in in front of me. Why the F is it okay to double book to the point you have people waiting 2 hours? Even after waiting an hour and a half and walking up to the window I was told "we called you several times" " no you didn't I was sitting right here I have never left the building" ( keep in mind a small waiting room I can hear every word about every patient walking up to the window far less the person that comes out and it would be yelling my name) I'm sorry let me call them real quick" then another lady says I just called them and you have 25 more minutes. I thought the people in front of me we're getting the shaft when they were telling them you have a two-hour wait you have a one-hour wait you have a half an hour wait you have a two-hour wait you have a 1 hour wait only to sit there and wait two full hours. Complete BS . If they can charge us for not showing up we should be able to charge them a late fee as well. My time is just as important as anybody that is working there and they need to keep that in mind read more

First time using this place. I usually use Truxtun Radiology. The building is new, clean, comfortable sitting area and it is located in a good area. Staff was friendly. For the wait I guess all I can say is depending on the time you arrive and amount of patients ahead of you. I checked in at 350 PM and checked out at 5:22PM. You can schedule appointments. These people need to figure out how a business operates, and run a business. The front desk is lacking severely. Do they really expect the patients to be experts at their jobs? Seriously?! That's the only way I feel every time I've approached that desk. Then when they fail to do their job (either directing people to proper areas, notifying them on actual wait times, charging them co-pays). All of which has happened to me here. Never once, have I been called on for my appointment, near the time of my appointment. There is always a a long wait. (Not sure why we make appointments, when they will never be kept my the business.) When they expect you to know exactly what to do, rather that letting you know at the desk, it makes people feel uneasy, like the patient is doing something wrong. I've felt that way, then consoled am older lady after she clearly felt the same way. And when you fail to charge a patient their copayment, maybe you should attempt to call them, not send the bill off to collections. I literally found out from Credit Karma, that these people sent my $10 co-pay to collections. No phone call, no email. Nothing. I know they have both my phone number, my wife's phone number, and my email, as they collect this information on your very first visit. I also know for a fact, I have never expected this place to give me anything for free. So, they failed. They failed to charge me, and they failed as a business. This is all besides the fact, that I was there for a reason, and their people told me I was fine. After finally seeing a specialist, obviously their MRI technicians need a little training as well. My bicep needed to be anchored down, that's not a little miss... You'd think they would have this down by now, but this company has failed time and again. read more

Had an appointment today, the two women at the front were so nice and welcoming, but the two ultrasound techs that I had were rude. I'm 37wks pregnant and all they did was whisper about my ultrasound which they aren't suppose to do. How can you tell each other my baby is 34wks and when I ask if that's normal continue to ignore what I'm asking. This is my first pregnancy and I'm not fully aware of certain things but to hear things like "placenta seems abnormal" "she's saying she's 37weeks but baby doesn't look like it. Baby measures at 34weeks." And "Looks like there's two thyroids." Is just extremely rude and inappropriate. read more

This place is always so busy but seem to have it together. My appointments are kept usually on schedule and the staff is always so nice. You know when you have to be here it isn't because you want to be. It is very updated decor but there doesn't seem to be enough seating in the waiting room to accommodate to large amount of patients it books. I've had many exams at KR and they are always professional and seem to get my results to my Dr. in a timely manner. read more

First of all DO NOT CHOOSE THIS CLINIC! No joke, so unprofessional, they treat you like it's your fault when they screw up your appointments. I made an app. for a Monday morning 6:00am. I remember this cause the receptionist told me I got till 6:10am to get there. So I'm there at 6:09am and no one is there so I go to the Fast strip down on 34th and I noticed I forgot my wallet on my way I decided to call the clinic they answered and first told me if I had the right clinic cause they didn't have my app ( here's where they try to put it on the client) I told them yes it's the right one so they proceed to give me another app on Thur same time 6:10am. Fast forward to Thur waiting again no one there so I knock on the glass no one I call twice no one then I wait till 6:31am and I check the door and it opens I go in and nobody around () I call out 3 times HELLO. Not yelling but loud I start walking out then I here someone I go in and tell the girl I was here at 6:10a she said I was here in the back drinking coffee. (Wha tha! I believe you're on the clock! ) Anyway..I tell her my name and she says what's your name so it's comes to be I didn't have an app at 6:10 in the early cold morning, again THEN she tells me oh someone was trying to call you last night, for what idk I received the 2 confirmation calls for 6 am in the early cold morning and then she tells me ( by this time I'm pretty sure she noticed I was a lil upset considering we are both of the Mexican life and when a man starts to fume women notice) well your app was made for 4pm later that day. I just smile say thank you ok and leave. I even left out some other negative stuff that happened. Well yeah there you go. So I tried to have an MRI again today. My appointment was at 3:50. I was told they were running 30-40 mins behind. I waited an hour and went to the front desk and asked how long it would be. Well after checking they told me they were unable to do the MRI because the doctor had left at 5!!! Can you believe their customer service? Kern Radiology has the worse customer service!! They sure do not respect their patients time !! I spoke to the manager, Monica, and she suggested I come back tomorrow at 12:45. I won't be going back. This building is so filthy. The carpets should have been pulled out years ago, the walls, chairs, doors, counters all of it germ infested. My most current visit was exceptional! I am so glad. I chose Kern Radiology Group for my care. As emotional as it is to face fears revolving around cancer diagnosis, I cannot say enough how grateful I am to Dr. Schale and his compassionate staff in doing my recent biopsy. They explained they would sedate where they would take the tissue from, create an incision, remove tissue, place a permanent marker to guide any medical team in the future, and also due to my having Cardio Syncope would accommodate my procedure lying down so that I didn't pass out. I had thought of all the dreaded images of getting the needle, having an incision and the idea of a probing object removing tissue, the pain that would ensue and the experience of it all to haunt me for years to come. It was none of that. In fact, I didn't feel the needle. What. I felt was a nerve ending virbation, didn't feel the incision being made, didn't feel the tissue sample being removed, didn't feel the titanium marker being inserted, and after sending me home as the numbness wore off the pain didn't even require Tylenol. It is now 12 hours later, the ache has subsided to a very dull pressure. I have a small bruise and. I can return to my life first thing in the morning. I can't remember the nurse's name, but thank you for all of your compassion. You are an angel. Every business needs someone like you. The technician was awesome, I love her and have worked with her twice now and all I can say is she is one of the very best! Dr. Schale was quick and. I was in good hands and trusted him throuly as he explained everything to me. Again, I am happy I chose Kern Radiology. I wil always choose for the rest of my life to get my mammograms down here, that's how confident I am in their professionalism and staff. read more

Do not recommend! If you have the option of another provider definitely use it! Scheduled an appointment at 9:45 and was informed that for my mother's type of appointment they stack the patients and then the wait is usually about 2 hours "if lucky" before they call you in. In a time of a pandemic, does it make sense to have people waiting in the lobby for hours? Even with social distancing and masks required it's my understanding that indoor anything is high risk....but who really knows the definitive's with COVID!?! Staff was very nice, polite and helpful, but obviously this debacle is beyond their control. One of the employees did let me know if I was concerned about COVID and my mom (82) being high risk we could wait in the car......which we had been doing for the last 2 hours! Who's paying for the gas to run my car? Can't turn off the AC after about 10:00 a.m. in Bakersfield in July! Great option! I got an idea......schedule appointments accordingly!
