Well I'm not impressed from the start. I got here just before 7:00 for a 7:15 appointment. I'm told…read morethat they are behind and won't be able to get me in until 8:30. Problem is I can't leave & come back. I have to wait here! The greeting staff was not particularly friendly. No one texts to let you know there will be more than an hour long wait. The building was very cold. They have 8 pin pad lockers to put your clothing and personal items. Three of the eight lockers are broken. I'm short and the three broken lockers were the easiest to reach but were unavailable due to needing repairs. The changing room was a mess with an overflowing bin of used robes. The young woman who did my MRI was very nice though. The only redeeming part of my entire visit.

Let's start with my call. I couldn't not reach kern radiology directly. I had to go through a call…read morecenter who could not schedule me but they transferred me to kern radiology. So where is this call center? because my agent was super hard to understand and honestly felt sketchy at first. Why send me information to call kern radiology only NOT reach you talk to another agency then be transferred to you for assistance. That is not effective. Don't give false information for patients to call. I work in a medical call center I know how frustrating that it. Now to the appointment. My appointment was 10:20. I was told to be here at 10am. It's an hour later later and I'm still here. All I'm being told is you're running behind. This office is chaotic. People just keep coming in. The people beside me have been waiting for over two hours for a simple x-ray. Kern Radiology used to be amazing. But I'm not sure anymore. When I got to my actual procedure it was smooth sailing. The tech and the doctor were very nice and pleasant. Both explained the procedure step by step. I pleased with them. In and out in like 20 minutes if that. They were a great team.

My most current visit was exceptional! I am so glad. I chose Kern Radiology Group for my care. As…read moreemotional as it is to face fears revolving around cancer diagnosis, I cannot say enough how grateful I am to Dr. Schale and his compassionate staff in doing my recent biopsy. They explained they would sedate where they would take the tissue from, create an incision, remove tissue, place a permanent marker to guide any medical team in the future, and also due to my having Cardio Syncope would accommodate my procedure lying down so that I didn't pass out. I had thought of all the dreaded images of getting the needle, having an incision and the idea of a probing object removing tissue, the pain that would ensue and the experience of it all to haunt me for years to come. It was none of that. In fact, I didn't feel the needle. What. I felt was a nerve ending virbation, didn't feel the incision being made, didn't feel the tissue sample being removed, didn't feel the titanium marker being inserted, and after sending me home as the numbness wore off the pain didn't even require Tylenol. It is now 12 hours later, the ache has subsided to a very dull pressure. I have a small bruise and. I can return to my life first thing in the morning. I can't remember the nurse's name, but thank you for all of your compassion. You are an angel. Every business needs someone like you. The technician was awesome, I love her and have worked with her twice now and all I can say is she is one of the very best! Dr. Schale was quick and. I was in good hands and trusted him throuly as he explained everything to me. Again, I am happy I chose Kern Radiology. I wil always choose for the rest of my life to get my mammograms down here, that's how confident I am in their professionalism and staff.

I will never say a bad thing about CBCC, they went above and beyond during my wife's diagnosis and…read moretreatment. My wife was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer and Dr. Foulad was so kind when he explained it to us. He had tissues for my wife, gave her a moment to process everything, answered all of my many many questions and left us walking out feeling like things were going to be alright. They got her started on treatment shortly after the diagnosis. We went through a meeting with the RN Susanna Bell who's a life saver to say the least. She explained everything we could expect during chemo and how to try to make it as easy as possible. Dr. Patel was amazing as well. He went over everything with us and met regularly to keep us informed on how things were going. She got through chemo thanks to the wonderful staff and Dr. Foulad even came to my wife's surgery at Cedar Sinai as he has operating rights there so he was in the OR with her surgeon assisting and giving her peace of mind that her original doctor was there. While the journey isn't over yet, the worst of it is over and it's been bearable thanks to the wonderful people at CBCC.

Go out of town or go to AIS or anywhere but here. I would have been at stage 0 or 1 if my Doctor cared enough to listen to me or order a CT or biopsy when I had a small nodule. Unfortunately I waited until my symptoms were worse and asked for a second opinion a few months later by then the nodule became a large mass . A month after had metastasized to lymph nodes and by then I was beyond pissed because now it can no longer be treated by surgery or radiation and bumped me to stage 3. I decide to get a second opinion on the cancer and go to an actual NCI out of town and they look at the last PET scan and they said so CBCC missed another lesion so another metastasis!!! Now making me a stage 4a. If you care about your health or your family member, please find better care. The worst Doctor here is Ravi Patel because he is unprofessional, negligent, pompous, arrogant, dismissive, and incompetent. Hopefully he will retire once this merger is complete and stop hurting patients and their families.
