In my career field, the word standard gets thrown around a lot - physical standards, performance standards, equipment standards, to name a few. When I think of Rolex Authorized Dealers and the word standard, one place comes to mind: Kern's SF. From start to finish, my experience at Kern's was the standard. And this is coming from a guy who's been to multiple Rolex Authorized Dealers around the world: San Jose, London, Paris, Ibiza, Prague, Barcelona, Florence, and Rome. Long story short, I was searching for a Submariner (ref. 124060) to celebrate a personal milestone and my upcoming 30th birthday. I had visited ADs during my travels, but the experience of the "Rolex allocation game" left me discouraged. Some stores were cold; others tried to sell me pieces I didn't want. To say I was frustrated is an understatement. I was close to giving up on my Submariner dream, but I decided to shoot my shot one final time: Kern's SF. I told myself, "If this doesn't work out, maybe I'm just not meant to have a Sub." I sent out an email, and a sales advisor named Bryce Jones responded in a genuinely warm and welcoming way. Fast forward to the following Tuesday, I'm meeting Bryce in person at Kern's. He greets me, welcomes me into the store, and I soon find myself chatting with him and Daimen about which pieces I wanted to try on. Bryce brings out a tray with all the watches I was interested in and gives me a deep dive into the history and functions of each piece: the Submariner line and the GMT-Master II. We got to talking about my work and personal milestones, and out of the dozen or so sales advisors I'd spoken with before, Bryce was the only one who truly understood where I was coming from. It felt like catching up with an old friend. Bryce asked where I was in my Rolex journey, and I told him about my frustrations with other ADs. He and Daimen told me they'd be right back to grab some paperwork to get my info down. At that point, I thought, "Cool, another waitlist. Pretty standard. I wonder how long this will take." Both of them left, taking the tray of watches with them. About ten minutes later, Bryce and Daimen returned with the same tray. Bryce asked Daimen if he grabbed the paperwork, to which Daimen replied no. They looked at each other for a couple of seconds before Bryce turned to me and said, "Just kidding! There's no need for paperwork. Anthony, what if I told you you could be walking home with this watch today?" He revealed the Submariner (ref. 124060) on the tray. I was completely stunned. I shot up from my seat with pure joy and shook both their hands. It really happened; my dream of owning a Submariner came true. The whole moment felt theatrical, from start to finish. That random Tuesday will forever be etched in my memory as one of the happiest days of my life. Afterward, I asked Bryce all my newbie questions about the Submariner (it was my first mechanical watch and my first Rolex), and he answered every single one without ever making me feel out of place. It's been almost a month since that day, and I still can't believe I own my dream watch. I feel nothing but awe and gratitude every time I put it on. To Bryce and Daimen: thank you, bros. You helped make my dream come true, and the word standard comes to mind when I think of the customer service you provided me. To anyone in the market for a Rolex, do yourself a favor and go to Kern's SF. Ask for Bryce Jones. He's a good dude and will take great care of you. And to anyone who's about to give up on owning their dream piece, don't. Your dream is a lot closer than you think.

This review is long overdue…read more Such a bittersweet review for me... I inherited my late mom's beautiful Vacheron gold watch from the 1970's that was no longer working and missing a part. I did extensive research and decided on Seregin's and I'm so happy that I did. Not only were they friendly/kind and super professional, but this watch, being a relic, and extremely thin and intricate, at this point, was a hard one to fix. Paul, the owner, went above and beyond, connecting with his own network to find the parts that were no longer for sale publicly. He called me multiple times to confirm the heftier price tag that parts and service would cost and when the timeline would be extended. When I came in to pick up the final product and he listened to my story of my beautiful mother and the watch, he truly had compassion and added to the story of this watch. This wasn't a faceless transaction and for something like an inherited treasure, that truly meant something to me. Overall, they clearly know their business here, from your more normal watch to luxury pieces. They care about the products and the customers they service.

The watchmaker did a remarkable job, and my GMT again runs and shines like new. The cost for these expert services was substantially less than what the Rolex dealers were quoting, and there was none of the snooty attitude either. I greatly appreciate my experience with Peter, Sonya and Paul and absolutely will be a return customer.

Unfortunately, I was at a festival and lost it so I wanted to replace the watch as soon as possible. I don't have a Swatch store anywhere near me so that's not so easy. They did start selling some of the Moonswatches online including the one I had, but I knew I was going to SF soon and that the store would be down the street from my hotel. Plus, some new colors and models came out that I was interested in. I was taking a risk because collectors buy certain ones up and often wait outside the store for new drops when they release. The watch I was interested in was the grey 1965 which had just come out. I came into the store and was greeted by the staff. I told them my predicament about losing one and wanting to replace it, but also about my curiosity to see other color ways that aren't available to me in SC. They asked about all the color ways I was interested in, brought them out, and added a couple extras that I might like. I was able to compare them all right next to each other and see the small differences like between the Mission to the Moon and the Moonphase which are super similar. I ended up leaving with the 1965 and I'm so happy with it. I even bought a watch for my friend who bought me the initial watch I lost as an extra thank you and to remedy my prior carelessness in losing the first one. Now all is right in the world and I love my new watch. I have to shout out the staff too who were not only helpful, but patient while I made my decision. Plus while I was picking out the watch I was gifting to a friend, one of the female staff members offered to try it on her wrist so I could choose the right size for my female friend.

Every Swatch Store I visited did not have it. I gave up hope until recently. Walked into Union Square store and asked "Peter" if they had the "Mercury" in stock. He said they had every SKU in stock except for the "White Snoopy". What?!! I asked to see the Mercury and was about to buy it when he said they had the "Black Snoopy". I did not know about but; but was immediately smitten when I saw it. I bought it. A tip of the cap to Peter and the entire Union Square Team for their great customer service. You made this guy very happy.
