They quoted me $1500 to replace my struts on a 2005 Saturn ion. If you google this repair it's about $300 and if you research the best parts online they are about $200/$300 for parts. I expected to pay $400-500 after labor. I'm going to just replace them myself which will probably take my two hours. This place is great for oil changes, tire rotations, and maybe tune ups. Don't bother with anything else. In the past they told me my transmission was done and quoted me $3500 to replace transmission and clutch. Fortunately I took my car to a transmission mechanic and discovered that only my clutch needed to be replaced for $1000. Stay away from this place for any major repairs unless you don't care about your wallet. read more

I didn't have an appointment and I was pleasantly surprised when they said that they could get me in and it would only be about an hour and a half. I was even more thankful when it was done in 40 minutes! I've been in the car business pretty much my whole life until recently, and I I haven't really had to get service outside my dealership. I called and asked if they could replace the heater core on my 90 Chevy Ck1500. Answer "yes" bring it in. Also told them, I have a loose wire on temp gauge that needs attention, answer "no problem". I signed estimate to do work at $990+. Two days later Mgr. called & said they did not want to attempt to do work because they did not want to damage dash. I suspect (not capable of doing the job in the first place). "We can bypass it" blah blah... I will send you a new estimate which "I did not sign" Next day (3 days later) they called to ask me to pick up the truck and was billed $556.84. Nothing repaired (0), a $350 ($175x2) diagnostic charge. An $80 radiator flush. I did get my oil changed. This place is not capable of doing real repairs. This is a less honest "Lube Joint". I sent an email asking for "diagnostic charges" to be reduced because no repairs were made, after stating they could do so and received no response. You will definitely get a polite lube job here. I took my Duramax here, I put in a new starter,,, as a note here. I wanted them to scam the injector values. I have a bad injector. They disconnected my starter and told me it was throwing sparks and need s to be replaced????. Its bran NEW. So I connected it while in the bay,, worked fine!!!. Our car was "safe". We have been loyal customers of Kerry's for the past three years. We are a one car family and earlier this year we began having issues with our air conditioning. We brought the car to Kerry's and over a couple of months we replaced our radiator, catalytic converter, and exhaust fan. After replacing the radiator our air conditioner was working fine, but there were other issues that dealt with the catalytic converter so we got that replaced as well. Unfortunately, soon after getting our catalytic converter replaced our car died unexpectedly while driving with our baby inside the car. When we got to a safe space, we checked the car and found that there were big screws on the windshield as if they weren't put back. When we explained this to Kerry's they deemed that to be unacceptable and took care of it and replaced the catalytic converter and exhaust fan (on them). This was their way of "taking care" of us as we had been in and out of the shop for the past few months spending thousands of dollars and their mistake put us in a dangerous situation. After this we were also offered a free oil change. When our car was dropped off, we were told "your car is safe". That was important to hear because it did not feel safe as it died while driving. The car was running with no issue again, until last week (less than a month after it being deemed "safe"). While commuting to work, the car engine light came on, the car was sending messages as it was overheating and it began smoking in the front and back. I had to pull over on the side of the highway during morning traffic as I watched the car smoke. Absolutely confused, we immediately called Kerry's to report what happened and get a tow to their nearest shop. We were told the tow would be covered if the issue had something to do with a part they had worked on. Hours later we received a call from the mechanic informing us the the motor is dead. No explanation as to why it would suddenly do this when we were told it was safe and less than 24 hours prior it was running with no issue. According to the mechanic, there was no way Kerry's could had let us know the car would do this even after having it be under their "care" several times over the past couple of months. They gave us three options: replace the motor, scrap the car, or donate the car. This was an incredible circumstance as we are a one car family and wrapping our mind around our car working less than 24 hours prior to now be told the car is worth maybe a few hundred dollars or we could pay what they quoted us close to 12k to get the motor replaced was truly unfathomable. As loyal and trusting customers of Kerry's we are disappointed with what feels like a waste of time and thousands of dollars that we put into Kerry's and their care for our car of the last few months. When we called they showed no sense of empathy nor were they apologetic for saying one thing "your car is safe" and our car almost catching fire and no longer being drivable. We will no longer seek services from Kerry's and do not recommend their services. We are now out thousands of dollars with no ramifications to Kerry's. This is completely unacceptable. read more

I brought my vehicle into the shop in Norterra because there was a strange scraping sound coming from underneath the car that was exceptionally loud when I drove slowly - as it occurred with the revolution of the wheels I assumed it had something to do with suspension - they did a service and said brakes and everything were good and the noise should stop - heard the noise again the next day they said bring it back and that they could fix it . I was then told it was the brakes and the rotors that needed to be replaced and that would fix the problem - paid $1000 still heard the noise and told them I didn't mind taking it somewhere else if it wasn't something they could address but they assured me they could fix it - six trips back-and-forth to their shop and they still couldn't figure it out not to mention I was promised to have my car back by 5 PM Because I had to pick up my son at school and had to call them to get an update and didn't get my car back till almost 6 . DO NOT TRUST THIS SHOP. I took my car in to have my brakes inspected as I noticed they were starting to squeak after having recently replaced the brake pads (at another shop) and received a coupon in the mail for a free brake inspection from them. After having dropped my car off, I called in THREE hours later to ask if my car was ready as they had pulled my car into the garage to look at it as I left. The women on the phone said it was "not ready yet as they had to take the car back down and drive it around and are now re-lifting it to inspect again". I thought that was an odd response- and assumed the only thing that could mean is there was nothing wrong with my car the first time they looked at it but nonetheless, I stopped in to grab my house key as I had left them in the car. When I arrived to pick up my key, the women at the counter stated she "Wasnt sure exactly what was wrong with the vehicle but believed it was something to do with my front driver side wheel" She then asked me if I would just like them to do the work or get an estimate. I told her an estimate. As I left, a man in the garage called me over to look at the wheel. He stated that my back brakes pads were in excellent condition and my front two brake pads were moderate and could be replaced if I wanted them too. He also believed the squeaking sound was coming from a tiny divot in my rotar (front driver side wheel) from a piece of gravel probably getting stuck in it at one point but was not effecting the brakes themselves. He said what they could do is shave down the rotar so it was smooth again. I told him I would let him know once I got an estimate and left. The women at the front desk texts me TWO hours later (I took my car in at 9 am and it was now 2 pm) to tell me the estimate is $650 for parts. She never told me what this included but just a price. I responded an hour later telling her I would pick it up at 5 pm if that was okay and that I was going to have my car looked at/quoted from one other place first. She texts me ONE MINUTE LATER. ONE MINUTE. Telling me the work is almost finished. I responded, telling her that I hope she means the work of putting my wheels back on and not the brake work as I never approved of the charge. No response. I call her and she says she was under the assumption I wanted the work done from when I stopped in to grab my keys. I told her I specifically stated I wanted an estimate. I also questioned her logic- why would I need an estimate from you if I told you to just go ahead and do it? That would not make sense. She hangs up on me. I call back. She says I will need to pay for labor costs then. I tell her that I came in for a free brake inspection, and was never told an estimate. She hangs up. I call back and tell her I will be picking up my vehicle. She hangs up for a third time. ( I wish I was joking, but I am not). She then refuses to take my call seeing the caller ID. I use my WORK phone (thank god I had a different number) and a gentleman picks up on another line. I tell him the situation and he says "There was a miscommunication between the women and I" and briefly apologized. I stated my case and that there was zero miscommunication on my end. I drove there to get my vehicle and the man and women said nothing when they handed over the keys. No apology. Not a single word. I am a 25 year old female doctoral student who they thought they could take advantage of. My takeaway from this, is they probably realized my brake pads and rotors were in good condition (aside from the tiny divot). Didn't know why it was squeaking a little. Made of up a $650 charge and thought they could get away with it. DO NOT GO HERE. I promise you, it is the most unprofessional and untrustworthy car shop I have ever been too. read more

I took my small car in for an oil change and to have a light checked on my dash. He pulled up the code and told me it would cost over $1,200.00 to fix the problem (spark plug change & cleaning). I took it in to another place (Brake Masters by MetroCenter) and he fixed it for $550.00. They did the spark plug change, but it was just a faulty wire. He also told me that the code that my car was displaying could have been attached to multiple problems and unless you do an actual diagnosis, you cannot tell what the problem is. I am completely convinced, this place saw a female walk in alone and really did everything they could to rip-me-off. Also, he would not give me the estimate to take somewhere else. They took my car in right away and communicated very well with me. Did a whole check up on my car just to be sure everything was okay with it. Visited Phoenix for vacation. Needed simple work done. Damages during the repair! Extremely poor customer service. They DO NOT communicate. You're left guessing about when or if they've received parts, started the work, or anything. Very disappointed. My wife had to fly home from vacation because of their dragging on and on with no communication. I had to use extra vacation days, waiting to hear back from them, even after I kept calling- only to be placed on hold, then hung up on. Mercedes owners BEWARE!! I was told my car would be done on Monday, then Tuesday... Finally had to leave Wednesday morning (extra vacation days)... Guess what, I heard from Kerry's TODAY, Saturday..... I live by this place now, but hadn't had opportunity to go there. Had to stop by last week when I hit a curb on my lunch break and then the tire pressure light came on. I knew I did some damage..darn it. I was afraid if I didn't get help immediately, then when I could, my tire would be flat. Kerry's was a life saver. Brought my car back immediately and put the spare on. Gave me guidance on using the spare and did not charge me for the few minutes of their time. They were super quick, very kind and understanding. I needed to get my brakes replaced and an oil change but kept putting it off because I didn't want to take my car to the dealer because of the higher cost involved and didn't want to take my car to just any car service establishment. I was a "first time customer" recommended by my daughter, who gets her vehicle serviced with you. I was very impressed and satisfied with the customer service I received. The front office facility was beautiful and very clean, they even have a very nice waiting room with a TV and beverage/snack bar. I worked with 'David' and he was AWESOME. In a world where businesses and certain people look to take advantage of others, it is refreshing to feel that 'I was being valued and genuinely looked after'. Friendly folks, I've taken my vehicle here once or twice but never again. I finally figured out what was wrong with my engine after an oil change at Kerry's...they either didn't drain the old oil or forgot they'd already put new oil in. My engine had nearly 7 quarts (supposed to be 4), not even counting the oil filter, there was oil everywhere, even the spark plugs were covered in oil. This isn't just an oops, serious damage could have been done and I'm just thankful I haven't been driving much the last few months! read more

So I REALLY needed an oil change and I got a flyer in the mail for this place that offered a really great rate for full synthetic which is typically pricier but it's what runs best in my car. I came in around when they opened and was greeted with very friendly staff who took care of me quickly (even though I didn't technically have a set appointment). They have a really cool waiting area with comfortable chairs,Netflix, and good coffee. The overall experience here was awesome especially because when I was checking out they didn't try to tell me my car needed all of these expensive fixes immediately like other well known places when I know I don't need them because I keep my car in great condition and check it regularly. So far I have filed with the Attorney General and will continue this until I have resolution. I took my SUV there for an internal engine noise. They said the top part of the motor needs to be rebuilt and quoted $3600 which is more than a replacement motor. Rather than shop around I let them repair it just wanted it completed and willing to pay more than it should cost. This was mid October. They have the vehicle 5 days. I pick it up and get it home and its leaking oil and tranny fluid. Prior to taking it in, the vehicle didn't leak a drop. They come get the vehicle and claim they fixed the leaks and brought it back to me. Well it was still leaking both oil and tranny fluid. I take the vehicle in again a couple weeks later stating it is still leaking both fluids. They have me bring it back for a "scheduled" appointment and say it was a hose that was leaking to the tranny and it is fixed. Well it is still leaking both oil and tranny fluid. So now they want me to bring it in on 12/30 to trouble shoot it. They say they found the leak and need me to now drop it off 12/31 for it to get repaired. Now again I drop the car off on 12/31 and they claim it will be done in 2-3 hours and claim the valve gasket is leaking on the side they repaired. Well the sign on their door says they close at 2pm on New Years so although they said they would be done in 2-3 hours (I dropped it off at 8am) I assume it will be done no later than 2pm since they close. Well at 1:15pm I call to check the status. Not once have they called me to keep me in the loop. I have to always call them. The man answers the phone and said the tech has another 50 minutes of work to do, then a test drive and then to clean off the underneath but it will be ready by 2pm. Huh? It's already 1:15pm. So I had plans that day but now stuck waiting on my vehicle. Finally at 4pm I receive a text that an Uber is on its way to pick me up so apparently the vehicle is now ready. Well I get the truck FINALLY and now missed my New Years plans so I park the vehicle in the garage until New Years Day. On New Years Day I not only notice oil under the vehicle but try to drive it to Prescott and my transmission light goes on. Per the manual it says restart the vehicle and if it comes back on stop driving. So it came back on which forced me to turn around and park the vehicle again. Now I search the causes for the new issue I am having and notice that many reported a broken vacuum line in the engine bay. Well I pop the hood and sure enough they broke a vacuum line which was right by the valve cover gasket they apparently repaired. So now after 5 times in the shop for leaking oil and tranny fluid I also now have a broken vacuum line which was a result of them. So I take the vehicle back to them on Monday 1/3 to show them the vacuum line they broke and tell them the oil is still leaking. They drop it off on Wednesday 1/5 and they will replace the broken part and once and for all fix the oil leak. Well they had the vehicle all day and have me pick it up that night saying it needs to come back to them now on Friday for 2 more days. They apparently didn't do anything on 1/5 claiming the part never came in and they think they pinpointed the oil leak now to the head gasket which is essentially tearing the motor back down to access that gasket. I drop it off Friday and was told by Justin it will be done by end of day Saturday but he hopes sooner and he will give me a status update while it is there. Well on Saturday afternoon I still hadn't received a call and it is after 4pm. I try to call them and get voicemail since it states they are too busy to answer the phone. I leave a message and of course nobody calls me back. So now the vehicle is still at the shop on Monday 1/10. I call this morning and they say hopefully by end of day today and that it is a big job so it takes time. Well this is the 6th time the vehicle has been dropped off per their timeline and it isn't fixed. They have consistently dropped the ball, overpromised and under delivered. They have failed to communicate time and time again. And another issue I forgot to note is when they rebuilt the motor they overfilled the oil by over a quart. This has been hands down the worst experience I have ever had at a repair shop. I normally do all my own work but since this was internal I opted to have them repair it "thinking" they would do a better job and more efficiently than myself. Also when I was there another guy was complaining to the manager saying his son was just in and was advised he needed brakes. His father took off the brake pads and brought them in to ask them why would they tell his son that he needed brake pads as the pads on the vehicle had another 20-30k of life in them. read more

I'm going to keep this short and sweet. Went in for a brake job, spent a lot of money and when I got behind the wheel to drive home, the brakes were softer than they were when I brought in my vehicle!!! They had to go back, take off the tires and make whatever adjustments (probably bleed the lines) had not been made when they were replaced! This is auto shop 101 and a business performing this sort of service cannot miss these sorts of things. This error would have put the safety of myself and my family at risk had I left without knowing the brakes were not right. The Manager was not at all apologetic and showed no remorse. I will never refer this place or ever return. Stay away, I think a new Brakes Plus is opening near Happy Valley and 19th Avenue and as for any other needed services, go someplace else. I stopped by earlier in the week to get an estimate for front brake pad replacement on an SUV. I was quoted $240 and while as expensive as the dealer quoted for the same work I opted for the convenience. I dropped the vehicle off on Saturday morning and received a shuttle ride home. I got a call a little later from Steve who advised that the work was now going to cost $330. (I had brought in a $50 off coupon that we had received in the mail) I stated that this was not the amount that I was quoted and not to complete the work. I was not offered a ride back to pick up my vehicle and Steve (not me) ended the call. I saw many positive reviews for their location on N 67th ave so was surprised by the treatment that I received. What a Horrible Service Experience! AC on my car was not blowing cold air. Took it to Kerry's Car Care on North Valley Pkwy early morning, where they did an extensive diagnosis and recommended recharging the system and some other minor fixes for around $270. Called them around 5 PM and was told that car is ready. After making the payment and getting the key, started the car and AC was blowing hot air. They checked and kept the car till the following day to see why it was not fixed. Next day, they came back with a long list of problems asking for over $2300 to fix the AC. Being disappointed at not being able to diagnose and fix the AC, I declined the repair. When I went in to pick up the car, I asked them to reverse the charge but they declined to do so. After I drove away, the check engine light came on. Looking under the hood, I found out that they had not properly put the parts they had taken apart back together, with a fastener missing on one side of an air hose and the other side hanging loose. read more

There was not much for them to do because of the placement but they clearly explained the situation and let me know what I needed to do. They filled my tire up for me and ended the conversation by saying if I could not find somewhere else to go I could come back and they would to to help me find a solution.
