T-Bone Steak and a baked potato side
    Kristi L.

Great view of the lake if you can get seated in the back or on the patio. This place is upstairs from Cactus Jack's Grill, which also has great views. We sat at the bar so we could talk to the super nice bartender and the regulars sitting nearby. He ordered a T-Bone Steak with a baked potato side and I ordered the Soup & Sticks. His steak was a little overdone but very tasty and my soup and cheesy bread was perfect. We will definitely be back and next time we'll try Cactus Jack's too!

In town for the Zach Brown concert tonight and stopped here for a late lunch. It was an off time so it wasn't very busy and there was no wait. The view on the outside deck was very pretty. Our waitress was friendly . The Greek salad was very good but needed a little more feta cheese and the chicken was cooked perfectly. The burger was cooked great. Just as ordered . The sangrias were good also .

Not a lot of places I visit and we finish all the food without asking for the boxes to go. The portions are marginally a little bit more compared to other restaurants. We ordered Mediterranean Veggie Wrap, baked stuffed haddock and shrimp, honey Sriracha chicken and mac n cheese. I would say the Sriracha chicken was my favorite. I usually am not a big fan of tenders, though the chicken looked like tenders, the dish was crispy, tasty, melted in the mouth with the right amont of flavor. This came with fried brussels sprout as well. Wrap was good as well with a pita wrapped around chickpea, sundried tomato, onion, olive, feta, parsley, cucumber and spinach. This came with beans on the side. My brother enjoyed his baked haddock and strip, which I concurr after hacing a bite to taste. Overall a good place to eat with views of the lake. I would definitely go back there again, but during the day. I prefer eating local than the chains. If you lived in a resort or lodge nearby look for a free appetizer coupon.

I got the fish and chips, the potatoes were strange and not told to us expecting fries.

One of the best chicken tenders, especially honey sriracha. Good happy hour deals for appetizers. Service has always been good.

Lakeside Famous Roast Beef Pizza & Seafood opened up recently in a former Dunkin Donuts shop (a new…read moreDunkin Donuts is directly across the street). I stopped here recently for dinner takeout on a busy Saturday evening. This order at the counter eatery offers roast beef sandwiches, pizza (by the slice or whole pie), calzones, pasta dinners, hot & cold subs, wraps/pitas, fried seafood (clams, scallops, shrimp, haddock) dinners & rolls, king lobster rolls, salads, New England clam chowder, steak tips, kabobs, chicken fingers & wings, fried appetizers, bagged Frito Lay chips, & Coke products from the cooler. The prices here are reasonable, subs/sandwiches $3.99-$7.00, pasta with bread $4.95-$8.75, dinner plates $7.50-$9.75, and seafood dinners $9.95-$17.95. Coupon specials are also offered on the menu. The food is made to order in the open kitchen area behind the counter. The roast beef is sliced to order. The pan pizzas are baked in the belt oven. There's self serve table seating in the bright dining area. I ordered the Fish & Chips Dinner ($9.95) and a Junior Roast Beef Sandwich ($3.99) for takeout, given a receipt with number, which is called out when the order is ready. My order number was called out in about 10 minutes after ordering and I was given a small bag with my Jr Roast Beef Sandwich and "have a good night." I quickly told the person who gave me my sandwich I also ordered Fish & Chips, which needed another minute to be ready and still being packed. I grabbed some condiments on the counter, but I did have to ask for tartar sauce. The fish & chips dinner was a good portion of battered haddock (2 pieces), shoestring fries, onion rings, and cole slaw. The food was very hot and the batter coating around the haddock came off. The shoestring fries were the very typical French fries, which were deep fried golden and unsalted (thank you!) The battered onion rings were deep fried golden and crisp, coating was coming off. The tartar sauce was very thick with plenty of pickle relish in a mayo mix. The cup of cole slaw was very good and refreshing, crisp chopped cabbage in a creamy and zesty dressing. The Jr Roast Beef Sandwich was okay, which had a good amount of small thin slices rare (very red) roast beef with horseradish (my choice) on a soft toasted bun. I prefer my roast beef medium well. The food I had tasted pretty good and the fish & chips was not too greasy. I would probably return here for lunch or dinner if I'm driving through Laconia. 3.40/5.00 DELIVERY is available.

This "fancy-like" rustic biker bar & restaurant offers a streamlined food menu featuring pub fare and BBQ options, including St. Louis Slow Smoked Ribs, Smoked Chicken. Pulled Pork, handhelds, burgers, chicken tenders, smoked wings, appetizers, and chocolate chip ice cream sandwich. The prices seem fair, given the popular destination for bikers and tourists. The place is actually not so "fancy" which red painted walls with guitars and black flooring (front section) & hardwood flooring (upper back section) with table seating, high top tables, and seating up at the bar which has flatscreen TVs, but minimal stocked shelves (at the time of visit) at the bar. I stopped by for takeout on a rainy summer night and was able to easily find on-street pay parking near the front of this business, which is harder to find on a nice weather weekend day. The place was empty compared to its other bar next door, which was very busy. I decided to order takeout and ordered The Fancy ($16) handheld served with fries. My order was boxed and ready to go in 10 minutes. The thick sandwich had tender pieces of slow roasted pulled pork topped with a smoky sweet BBQ sauce on a toasted brioche bun, served with thick golden crinkle fries and a cup of creamy slaw. This takeout meal was pretty solid good and filling. I would definitely stop by again during my next trip to the Weirs.

We have not eaten at a D'Angelo's in about six years. After last evenings experience, I can be sure that we will never return. We have three young kids with us and we let them order their own food because it's good practice for them. We had never been to this restaurant before so we needed a minute to figure out our orders. D'Angelo has a phenomenal employee named Shayna (Shay). She was very patient with our kids as they worked their way through their orders. Shay also kept complimenting and encouraging her fellow employees. She would say what a good job the cooks in the back were doing. When there were no customers in line, she'd come out to the dining area and wipe tables and pick up trash. Shay made our first ever visit to this restaurant a very enjoyable one that we will tell others about. She is a great face for the business and is so kind to customers and employees alike. If Shay isn't a manager, she should be. Thank you for an awesome experience. I almost forgot to mention that the food was delicious as well. The order was prepared perfectly and our kids loved it.

Very friendly and attentive. Food is outstanding. Last time we were there they had live music which was really good. Management there appears to be very involved with all of the processes and professional. I have read some of the reviews and find some of those not spot on. When reading the reviews of any restaurants in a vacation area always keep in mind the area of the country its in and the fact that most, not all vacationers come across as entitled and can be very rude. I only know this because we live in two areas of the country where there is a very large and strong vacation season. Take it from a local here and def put the Alamo on your list of places to eat. Great patios and roof top dining as well which overlooks the entrance to Paugus Bay Bridge and the Weirs beach/Weirs avenue area.

We were seated promptly and our server was great, but everything took a lonnnnnggg time and the food was pretty average. I don't think it was our server's fault that things were slow, it seemed to me more of a bar and kitchen issue. Our server was attentive and kept apologizing that things were taking so long. We ordered house margaritas, which were nice and strong, but my glass wasn't full, and the sugar that we had both requested was weird - it was a combination of sweet and salty. We put in our drink and food orders at the same time. Our drinks took approx 25 minutes to arrive, and food arrived about 15 minutes later. That's a long time for two drinks, one appetizer, and a side of corn bread. We ordered loaded tots, which were ok, but the portion size was small for the $18 price tag. The cornbread was good and the portion size was appropriate for the price. We enjoyed the live music - the performer had a great repertoire and was really enjoyable to listen to. All in all, our visit to the Alamo was just kind of average. We probably would have enjoyed it more had the outdoor areas been open. Might go back, might not....
