What an amazing dentist and staff. They have taken care of me for years. I highly recommend them

After trying all the "chain" dentist offices, I decided to look for a small, more honest operation. Dr. Terrell totally fits the bill. He actually did my cleaning himself (rather than just let a hygienist do it.) I'm always confident that he isn't trying to "trick" me into procedures that I don't need just to make an extra buck. He has also been very punctual for all my appointments. Nothing irritates me more than arriving to an appointment five 5-10 minutes early only to sit in the waiting room for 30-45 minutes because they are behind schedule. After hearing about how great this dental office is and wanting to switch from my last dentist, I called Dr. Terrell's office several times and left messages. I also sent an email. Never got a response. I assume they have more work than they can handle. If that's the case, why not say that on the website? Instead, you're letting people waste their time. Unprofessional. I will start this off by saying that I'm a wimp when it comes to my semi-annual cleaning. It's always been something that I've dreaded, but, eventually, my vanity wins out and I make an appointment. I went to Dr. Terrell for the first time yesterday, and the experience was fantastic. Because of my aforementioned wimpiness, I love anything that makes the experience more relaxing. The chilled eye mask and massaging chair may seem like small details, but they really make a huge difference in my comfort levels. Dr. Terrell himself is excellent; unlike most dentists I've been to, he did the cleaning himself, and his friendly, down-to-earth personality made me feel at ease during the entire process. I have to say. I've just never been a fan of the dentist, particularly after an experience I had with a couple of crowns at a previous dentist. Dr. Terrell was on time and made me feel at ease immediately. I would recommend him to anyone who asks. Actually, I went yesterday and already recommended him to a couple of coworkers this morning. What an awesome chair side manner! I don't think I have ever experienced a more caring, gentle, thorough dentist as Dr Terrell. The beautiful state of the art office is impressive but I care much more about the doctor's skill and talent. If you are dental phobic or just want a great experience, Dr Kevin Terrell is the way to go. He takes insurance and gives cash discounts as well. I'm looking forward to the next visit which is huge when you realize we are talking about dentistry. read more

My appointment was right on time & they got me in & out with x-rays & a detailed cleaning in no time. Dr. Terrell is hands on with his patients & has a good sense of humor which helps you relax since you're at the dentist! Dr. Terrell is the dentist I was always looking for. I've been going to him for several years, he's always on time, does a great job with my cleanings, and is just a great guy all around. Instead of spending money on a receptionist and other unnecessary expenses, he invests in the latest equipment and technology and seems to keep his practice at a level that allows him to spend quality time with his patients. Running a practice is a balancing act, and many go out of business because they grow too large or because they don't concentrate on what's important. This dentist is pretty amazing. I really appreciate the fact that he has a small practice. I get the impression that he is interested in running a progressive dental practice that is focused on quality and not focused on high volumes and profit. It is no surprise to me that Dr. Terrell only has 5 reviews total and not a single positive one in the past year. Started going to Dr. Terrell in 2013 primarily out of convenience in vicinity to my office. Had a few cavities, my own fault obviously, and routine cleanings. I will own up that I was late to two of my appointments, by maybe 5 minutes. However, the last appointment I had with Dr. Terrell he had me waiting for over 20-25 minutes as I was the first appointment of the day. He proceeded to perform my routine cleaning in literally 10 minutes. I felt like I was rushed out of the office just so he didn't back up other appointments, although every time I've been in there's no receptionist at the front and the office was vacant. Dr. Terrell and his assistant are the only ones I've ever spoken to on the phone or seen in the office. A highly successful practice can afford a full time receptionist to properly book and maintain clients well being. Being the most unprofessional dental environment I've ever wasted my money on, I called today intending to get a copy of my records to send to my new dentist. Dr. Terrell answers the phone, because they clearly don't have a receptionist, and tells me he's "swamped" and can't get them to me until Friday. I asked if there was any way I could get them today, then the attitude just escalated from there. Now he tells me Texas law requires me to sign a release form in order to get them in which he also has to approve. I pointed out that he failed to mention this process when he initially told me he could send records Friday. He willfully admitted that he was only now requiring me to go the release form route since it was a last minute request. I can't help that he is offended I'm switching dentists but if he and his one staff member treated patients with care and respect I would honestly not be switching. The no receptionist and subletting office space with a medspa should have been red flag enough for me, but at least he won't get any more of my money. A legal route will now be sought in order to obtain records I'm already entitled to. This is my second negative review in a month of medical "professionals" that don't prioritize their patients. I'm not one for social media but if these reviews help one person deter from being mistreated then it's well worth me looking like a stubborn old hag. read more
