    Following an unsuccessful attempt to find a ring at another Jewelry store, I decided to visit Kevin Jewelers in the Valley Plaza. I had called and spoke with Maria about a particular ring that I had previously saw at the Tejon Ranch location. She had informed me that the ring was in stock and also on sale! Upon arriving at the store I was immediately greeted by Maria, Who had informed me that she had already set my ring aside behind the counter. She was very friendly and professional. The entire transaction was quick and painless, and took a total of 10 minutes. I have not gotten my ring back from getting it sized but so far I am very pleased with my experience at Kevin Jewelers.

    First, we found the perfect rings here, picked them up after being sized & we were helped by an incredibly rude, condescending associate, Maria. She looked at us like we had no business there. Our next visit, my center diamond was rattling within the prongs. The associates didn't believe me. This different associate talked to us like we were dumb kids. It took ten minutes to convince both associates the stone was loose. Maria got tweezers & grabbed the stone & said she didn't see how it was rattling. I asked that they send it in any way to adjust the prongs. She messed with it more, this time squeezing the tweezers so hard that they scraped the diamond (no damage, I just found it careless as they could have just trusted me) they finally agreed that the stone was not stable. We came back to pick up my rings, I looked at the rings she gave me & realized immediately they were two different sizes & the size/quality of the diamonds were half of what my original band was. I told the associate the band was not mine & she said it was. I gave both to her, she held them together & insisted they were what I brought in. She went in the back to look again & finally came out with my rings. I was dissatisfied that she didn't believe me & that her first thought was to tell me I was wrong. I was most dissatisfied with the fact that this is the most expensive item of jewelry I have owned, it holds sentimental value that is irreplaceable, & they almost lost it. They were going to give me someone else's property & not blink an eye. I was upset & didn't go back for cleanings because I didn't want to hassle with them. I purchased my own jewelry cleaning kit & maintained our rings at home. Then, August 13, I rubbed my hands together & felt something scratch my hand. My engagement ring had split & completely separated where the jeweler sized my ring. I cautiously don't over-wash my hands with my rings on & I don't do any vigorous activity with my rings on. They just separated from what I assume to be wear & tear. I was willing to go back to see what they could do for me. Since I was going to take the rings to be fixed, I wanted them soldered together. We went in on August 14 to ask them to repair the engagement ring & solder the set. This associate was nicer (Yuri) & asked if we were interested in an upgrade. I told her I love my ring but that I didn't mind looking. (The associate that processed my payment was not friendly at all, did not greet me & literally just took my money.) She showed me a few rings & she told us what their upgrade policy & I felt pretty good about leaving my ring with them this time. When I went to pick up the rings, the two unpleasant associates were there. I was not greeted & gave the associate my invoice. She emptied the contents of the envelope & low & behold- two rings. I pointed at the invoice to the word, "solder". (See attached). She took the invoice to the rude associate & the rude one said, "I don't know what to tell you," & the other said, "Tell her that," & motioned towards me. It's not difficult to be polite & apologetic to keep customers happy. They just stood there offering no solution. I told them I was furious, this was not the first or second time that I have left their store upset that they didn't process my order correctly. I told them that the communication between the jeweler (Roco's to my knowledge) & their store was terrible. They called the manager & told him that I was upset. He said he could give me half of what I paid. After they talked to the manager (Vidal Mora), they informed me I could come pick my ring up next day at 3 PM- less than a business day turnaround. This made me question the integrity the quality (yet again) of the jeweler. I called the manager because this time frame just didn't sit well with me. I notified him of the service I was provided (or lack thereof), I was worried the rings wouldn't come back right & that I wouldn't come back because I didn't want to deal with this any longer. He told me they would take care of me & that he would personally inspect the rings. I went back that following Friday, August 17 to receive one botched, welded, not soldered, wedding set. (See attached). I was so upset. I went to another jeweler and asked if they could fix it, they recommended I take it back to Kevin & demand it be fixed. The fact that Vidal said he would inspect them himself and HE thought it was good enough quality to appease an upset customer, is worrisome. I took it back & asked that they fixed it. Again. August 20, I picked up the finished product & it was beautiful. Not beautiful enough to shop here again, unfortunately, but I got what I wanted. I called to talk to Vidal a last time, but he was conveniently on vacation. This is the last of many straws & I will never find myself shopping here, setting foot in this establishment, nor will I recommend this place again.

    I saw that this store had a great sale going on & told my fiancé to go take a look while I shopped at a store next door. I came back and he said that they didn't treat him as if he was a serious buying customer, but wanted to show me what he did find. We were helped by a gal who was nice, but not pushy. We were still looking for my fiancés wedding band & so she helped him try a few on & we found the ring he wanted. We got it for a great price & then told that it would be done being re-sized in a week. It took longer than the promised time (almost 3 weeks) without a phone call- I went in person once the day we were told it'd be ready by & while there, I was told it'd be ready by that following Monday, so I called on Monday and they said it wouldn't be ready til the end of the week. We did finally get a call, but it wasn't a good or professional experience in my opinion. I will say if you're looking for a great deal on jewelry then this place is awesome! Just make sure to give plenty of buffer time if it needs to be ordered or resized- or buy it right then & there & take it to be done elsewhere.

    Such a great experience shopping for a Rolex! Vidal and Maria helped a goal of mine come true recently. Also the gentleman on the computer was great and so helpful. The service was incredible, memorable and I can say when I start building my Rolex collection I'll only come here to buy them! It was that great experience! Thank you Vidal and Maria for everything I'll be back to purchase another one soon!

    Similar style of ring we were looking for found on the website. The associate didn't bother to look in the store or offer to check online.

Because we were supplying the gold and gemstones, we expected most of the cost to be labor and custom design work. We were quoted approximately $2,000 for the project. While that seemed expensive, we agreed to move forward based on the quote we were given. Then came the real problem. After nearly FOUR WEEKS of waiting with little to no communication, we were suddenly told the project would actually cost $4,000--double the original quote. The explanation given was that there had been a "misunderstanding" regarding the original price. I do not find that explanation believable or acceptable. A quote doesn't accidentally double after a month of holding a customer's jewelry. If there was confusion, it should have been identified immediately, not after weeks of wasted time. We trusted this business with valuable family jewelry and expected professionalism, transparency, and honest communication. Instead, we were left feeling misled and frustrated. The most disappointing part is that we only came here because our trusted jeweler couldn't meet our timeline. Looking back, waiting for the jeweler we already trusted would have been the better decision. Whether this was incompetence, poor communication, or a bait-and-switch pricing tactic, the result was the same: four weeks wasted and a complete loss of confidence in this business. Proceed with caution. If you choose to use this jeweler, get every detail in writing before leaving your jewelry with them.

That's when he hit me with it, "I quoted you the wrong price, it's $600 for each stone not $600 total". I'm now thinking I can't pay for this now and they're already installed. He then continues, I know you had a budget and if I got it right you would have turned down the $1200 price tag. So, I'm honoring my quote of $600 and here's your sword. I didn't know what to say, what do you say? I had made some extra side $ the day before that was my pocket money for the next week. I pulled out the $100 I made and handed it to him. He tried to refuse but I placed it in his hand and let go. I apologized and said that's all the money I have. He thanked me for my business and gained a customer for life that day. And a big promoter, as I love showing off the sword and telling the story. It made 2 people that I told it to go buy their watches from him.

Their service was not ideal as they did not recommend adjusting my ring size, and their quoted cost of re-dipping my white gold rings seemed outrageous. So I had them adjust one band, to the 1/4 size, since that's all they would do. But I knew this wouldn't make me happy, I could feel it in my gut! Well 2 1/2 years go by and I'm still unhappy with the size and fit of my bands. Together they feel tight, almost claustrophobic, and leave indentions in my finger. Even though, alone, they fit fine. Finally I went to Houston since they have a great reputation and are near my house. The service was amazing! As soon as I walked in, the associate, I didn't get her name, explained that she had the same issue with her rings and she understood completely. She recommended going up a half size for each ring (I KNEW IT!). She even said the resizing would INCLUDE a cleaning and a dipping of my white gold. All of this was the same price, per ring, for the 1/4 resizing the other jeweler begrudgingly did years ago. They were so kind, efficient, and offered excellent customer service. I have now bragged about my experience to multiple people, hinted at some jewelry I loved to my husband ;) and will plan to be back in the future. Also, my rings SPARKLED after I got them back! The only good thing the service center did was suggest I take the watch to Wickersham which would then so it to the Dallas service center for repair. I was given a 5 week estimate. While it was gone I asked them to order a spare link for the bracelet. 5 weeks later, almost to the day I received a call that the watch was back and ready for pickup. I picked it up the next day but found they had forgotten to order the spare link. They apologized and said it would take a week or so to arrive. True to their word a second time the link showed up a week later. I went to collect it, got there just as they were closing, but they were ready going, installed the link and refused payment saying it was the least they could do for ask the problems I'd experienced. 7 months later the watch is still keeping perfect time. I will never take a watch anywhere else, nor will I buy another watch elsewhere.
