After proposing to my now fiance, the ring was a bit to tight as we had it resized which took a month just for that. After the waiting period we had picked up the ring jsut to find out the ring was missing a diamond. We had sent it back and that took another 3 weeks to fix the missing ring. After we got it back we had it for 2 days and the same issue happened again. Another diamond fell out. happened again. Another diamond fell out. They fixed the diamond once again. Once we had it back for 3 days. 2 diamonds fell out and when we went back asking for a refund because the ring was defective and the issue has not been resolved. The manager told me to send it to corporate in which they will refund the ring but that did not happen. I was lied to. They are refusing a refund and are not resounding, it's been 2 months and nothing has been done about it, l've been lied to, manipulated, and deceived. I would recommend taking your business elsewhere. I was asked if i wanted the warranty for $1300 I said no at first and they talked me into it. After reviewing the receipt at home I discovered they added two of them for a total price of $2600 they never stated there would be two warranties applied. I called and spoke to the manager and was told they would look into it. When i went in to pick up the ring i addressed the issue and the sales man said he would speak to his manager over the weekend and call me on Monday. Monday came and never got a call. Called them Tuesday was told the manager was sick and would get back to me. They finally got back to me on Friday 2-27-26. 3 weeks after the initial date, stating there is nothing they can do. My husband and I brought in my engagement ring to have a few diamonds replaced, fix the prongs, and straighten the top piece. When I got my ring back the first thing I noticed was that the ring is significantly thinner and lighter than previous. When I called the store to inquire about it, they informed me that no alteration to the ring was made. I have photos to prove otherwise. My disabled mom doesn't get out much, so I decided to take her to AV Mall. She mentioned that she had always wanted to buy real jewelry. Now that she's retired and all of her children are adults, I was happy to see her do something for herself. We noticed all of the 80% off signs at Kevin's which is what drew us. Initially we were going to go to Kay first. The sales associate named Denise was extremely patient, attentive, professional and most of all flexible. My mom must have changed her mind a million times and it didn't bother Denise one bit. She just calmly moved on and presented another piece of jewelry. When I showed up to Kevin jewelers to pick my ring up, she started hollering like a nutcase. she kept yelling that she had the right to refuse service to me a paying customer. then she lied to her boss Elijah stating that my ring had already been picked up which was not true. Not only was she trying to get me kicked out of the store but she came charging at me trying to fight me and threaten me in front of my child. I had to call the sheriff's department to get my ring back from her. Elijah kept telling me they couldn't find my ring. I know for a fact that she hid my ring. When she saw the police arrive she put it back because the ring magically appeared after they showed up to the jewelry store. This still goes against what I was originally told as the first time s/b free but being that my fiancé's ring size is so small it has to be customized. I went in to get my ring fixed under the warranty/insurance I purchased when I purchased the ring. The sales clerk there Felicia Monique wanted me to sign a receipt that said my jewelry had been fixed to my satisfaction, before they had even repaired it. Well I got pretty upset and asked for my ring back and let her know I would be calling their Customer Service to make a complaint at which time she laughed and said you can email them. I placed an order for a ring in February, a mommy ring with my 2 children's birthstones and names engraved on it. I wanted my oldest on the top and my youngest on bottom with their names engraved next to their birthstones, simple enough. 1. The lady who initially began helping me ditched me for a girl browsing enhancement rings with her parents. 2. The man who then helped me argued with me over my metal of choice. 3. When I described how I want their names and birthstones placed, he responded by telling my I could just flip the ring upside down to change which is top/bottom (that would make their names upside down) 4. I was approved for a rather decent line of credit, everyone was very eager to help all of a sudden. Now, the day of pick up... The stones and engravings were switched so it had to be remade. Fine. 3 weeks later I go in to see if its ready. They made another mistake, have to fix it again, it'll be ready the following Tuesday. I go in on Wednesday, still not ready... When my mom asked how much it was she said "$8,265..but it's on sale for $3,200." My mom kind of choke laughed and asked "that's a sale?" The girl trying to sale to her to got really ugly and said "well it's a solid chain..."..totally understand if something is worth a lot. It's the tone she used and a whole lot of looking at us like we were beneath her and their cheap looking, ugly, "solid white gold" jewelry. She has a nasty attitude and she's lucky I had my daughter with me. She both shamed my mother and intentionally made her feel less than in a single breath. I am currently still financing a really expensive tennis bracelet I purchased for my mom a few months ago for her birthday. I finally gave it to her on her birthday of this year January 2022. We put it on right, made sure it was double clamped and then she just wore it! She loved it! A week later she looks down at her wrist and the bracelet is missing! I told her maybe they sold us defective bracelet because I don't understand why it would fall off after wearing it for a whole week! I've had my bracelet I purchased from another store on for a whole year and it never comes off! I go back and forth with her for awhile and at that point I am over it. I ask for a corporate number to speak to someone and she gave me a number where they kept telling me they couldn't help me. A credit place! I would like to make a complaint about the QUALITY of the bracelet! People shouldn't have to continue financing something that was bad quality and fell off! I called the store back multiple times and the older lady finally told me she would have a manager contact me back the next day and nobody ever contacted me back. I have been dealing with Kevin's Jewelers in Palmdale since 2012 and let me tell you If more retail stores took the time and gave the personal service with a smile and the outstanding workmanship that this store does it would be better for everyone. Not only are they all gorgeous but I got a great price and had wonderful people who are always accommodating and the jeweler always made any modifications perfectly and all three of my purchases. My husband bought me a wedding set in 2009 that priced for close to $5000 but got a killer deal on it as he knew the manager at the time. I had never had it cleaned or inspected at any other store until we moved out of CA in 2012. I had to go get a "diamond" tightened and since we don't have a Kevin's in WA state, I was forced to take it to Kays. Well they had tested my ring and turns out the 2 largest stones in the middle were FAKE!!! No joke! They could not fix it because of this and provided me with paperwork. Already heated, I still took it over to another place to get a second opinion...same thing! They also provided me with documentation. DO NOT COME HERE FOR RESIZING!!! I took my engagement ring in December 27th for resizing. There was an older lady who was sizing my finger when she decided a size 5 was the size they were going to order. I told her that it was kind of tight and uncomfortable but she insisted and put size 5 back on my finger to show me and started yanking it back saying "see? It's not supposed to come off easy" and I understand that but she was YANKING on my finger. It hurt! Before I could even say anything else, she walked away. After leaving it, I was called and told that my ring would have to be shipped out because of the material (they didn't have that type there) and said it would take 2-3 weeks. Three weeks go by so I call. I was then told that my ring is done but it'll be another week because they only deliver on Monday's. I expressed confusion because I was told 2-3 weeks but I'd be waiting another week now. The lady got agitated and said that's not true. They always say 4-6 weeks. I told her that's not what I was told and instead of apologizing, she said "they should have told you 4-6 weeks." Ok great. Cool. Whatever. I wait the one week and no call. I give it a day and I call again. I'm then told they're waiting for the vendor to send it to the home office. At this point I'm livid. The girl starts to tell me that if somethings wrong with it like it's the wrong size or not up to par, it's sent back to the vendor from the home office. I asked why they don't call and update us with this information?? Of course she didn't have anything to say. I was told that my ring was done and would be there. Now I'm being told it's not done AND I wasn't even given a time frame this time!! Not even a "we will call you" "I'm so sorry for the delay" "maybe another week" NOTHING.
