This place has excellent service and great food and drinks. The Cubano was a little different than I am used to, but very tasty. If you want a great drink and you like key lime pie, this place has a key lime pie martini that tastes EXACTLY like key lime pie - no burn of alcohol at all (watch out!). Absolutely delicious!

    Chicharrones

Wow this place is AMAZING! The margaritas are the best we had during our vacation. We ordered the chicharrones and were blown away. So sad we didn't find this place until our last day of vacation but will be back!

Tried this place on a whim for breakfast and it did not disappoint!! The food and coffee were excellent and the service was great too. We got the veggie omelette and the avocado toast. I highly recommend!

I highly recommend Keylum. Awesome food at a great price point. The drinks are great as well. The Painkiller was my personal favorite. Empanadas were homemade- you can tell in the best way. The grilled chicken sandwich was so good- surprising just how good it was. Our waiter was also very kind and helpful when it came to me being lactose intolerant.

    Chicken tacos

Favorite place we have eaten at so far in Key West! Our family ordered the kids chicken tenders, peel and eat shrimp appetizer, chicken tacos and fish tacos. We were all blown away! Food was delicious, Omar was our server and the service was great as well! Very happy we walked by and decided to stop in! Just do it, your tastebuds won't regret it!

    Drinks and fun!

Omar was so inviting and welcoming.. a real gem. The chicken tacos were to die for and very fresh. This is a must stop when in key west!

Before I ordered I confirmed with her that the "up to 3 toppings" meant if I can choose 3 toppings before I get charged the add on prices - she said yes - then I get the bill and each ingredient was charged and the other waitor confirmed it meant that you can just choose 3 ingredients to be IN the omelette... lol so otherwise I wouldn't have chosen to lays $2.50 for Hollandaise sauce + $6 other toppings.. lol But overall the waitor - we were at the bar was great. Though they ran out of pie - we were finishing up our meal just in time when the new round of pies were ready and she checked back in with us if we still wanted! Overall the pie - very tangyyyyy, not a big meringue person but tbh think it didn't add anything to the pie lol in terms of flavor ,

The restaurant is tucked away on a back street, far from the usual tourist spots, which adds to its charm. The food is authentic Cuban cuisine -- and I say that after decades of living in and around Hudson County, NJ, where the Cuban community is large and vibrant. At El Siboney, everything tastes fresh and homemade, with generous portions and prices that are refreshingly reasonable for Key West. This visit, I ordered the whole fried yellow snapper, served with yuca, yellow rice, and beans. My dinner companion had the Siboney skirt steak, one of the restaurant's popular dishes, served with a choice of sides. Both meals were excellent. Dessert was equally impressive: a delicious slice of tres leches cake and silky vanilla custard that were the perfect ending to the meal. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience. Dinner for two, including dessert and tip, came to about $100 -- a great value for the quality and quantity of food. El Siboney remains one of my favorite places to eat in Key West.

While I was checking it out, the bouncer at the bar next door told me it was worth a visit, which sealed the deal. Later that evening, I convinced my friends to go with me. They were expecting a full sit-down dinner, but this is more of a counter-service spot with 6-7 bar stools inside. The setup is simple: place your order at the counter, then either grab a stool or head to the bar next door, where they'll bring your food when it's ready. We chose the bar's patio, which gave us a clear view of the restaurant. It was reassuring to see other groups having their meals delivered over too--it felt like we had discovered the right local gem. The wait was about 25-30 minutes, but that only confirmed everything was being made fresh. And let me tell you, it was absolutely worth it. Our group ordered two jerk chicken plates with plantains, mac n' cheese, and slaw; one oxtail with black beans, rice, and mac n' cheese; and one jerk burger with fries. Every single dish was a hit. The jerk chicken had that perfect smoky spice and heat from the scotch bonnet peppers, balanced with bold Caribbean flavors. The oxtail was tender and flavorful, and even the sides like mac n' cheese and plantains stood out. All in all, this was easily one of the best Caribbean meals I've had anywhere. A true must try when in Key West.
