Fun little spot. Tours would be nice even though this place is small (the process is mainly on site). Did the samplings of Meads 10 for 10 (well worth it). Bar staff 'not' completely knowledgeable but friendly.

Bartender was sassy and hilarious. The selection of meads and spirits were excellent. I recommend the sour dick or the elderflower mead.

This is the highlight of my trip. I came around noon. I have no idea what is mead. Now I'm obsessed. I think they have the best honey I ever tasted. Tried their tasting and felt in love w pear mead. Megan is amazing. I feel bad she was so nice she spent the time to explain every meads they have. It took a long time. The place is nice. Great experience. Got a lot of goodie. Must come here every time I come to key largo

This might be the healthiest consumable alcohol! ahaaaha... Here, I learned that mead is the oldest form of drinking alcohol. Made from bees honey, this was the "elixir" of the late Vikings. I had such a fun educational time having tastes of honey and mead. The hosts were some of the nicest ever during my visit to the Florida Keys. Honey from spring summer or fall all taste different. My favorite is their spring harvest. Thanks to bees, we'd never get to have this organic beneficial product. Bees really do work hard, with a short lifespan and an enormous amount of hardwork! It takes tons of them just to make about an inch sized vial. Besides mead and honey, they have a small high quality selection of luxurious bath products like salt or sugar scrubs and soap. This place can be found in Key Largo. Anyway, a perfect place after brunch, for a leisurely time and meeting pleasant acquaintances. Stop by!!!

This is an interesting pub where the theme is bees! They have a little hive you can peek at. They play Gaelic music and it's a really laid back vibe. I had a Broski Ciderworks mango which is clear and very light.

We had the flight of four meads after never trying mead before and the experience was very easy for beginners. The black cherry mead was my favorite (sweetest out of the four), and the mango was my boyfriend's favorite (he prefers bitter things). We also bought two of the hand crafted candles. The bartender was awesome and full of jokes, highly recommend to stop here.

Five and if I could I would give more!!! I loved this place and the entire experience. I dint even know what mead were until the amazing ladies who took care of us and even the owner explained to us all about it. They are an alcoholic beverage created by fermenting honey with water, sometimes with various fruits, spices, and grains. We got a mead tasting and tried 8 different ones that we LOVED!!! Then we even had the spirit ones and we got to try 2 more. The services was amazing, the vibe great, and the store super nice. The prices are reasonable. I really recommend this place! and I'm posting about it on my blog.

We have never tried Mead before ..... and it was definitely an experience we wouldn't forget. We were told by many mead is not for everyone but to continue the pursuit of finding one you love. This place was so cute with different honey products that were for sale. I purchased a Goat Milk and Honey lotion that smells out of this world. The Mead - you can have a tasting of 10- for $8 if I'm not mistaken. The person behind the bar serving you is amazing with his knowledge and since we had NO idea what mead was.... He was the sweetest in showing us and explaining everything. Thank you again for such a fun afternoon. The Honeyshine was NO JOKE 100 % Proof! Wow!

This place is the latest buzz in the Keys!! I was out & about and heard the locals raving!! A Must Stop!! Way to many choices and options, so we went with the taste 10 shots for $8! This was the perfect choice to experience the majority and find your perfect pick! If Nick is there let him chose; he is a wizard. After the first couple of shots, he was able to predict our favs!! Recommendations: Heaven Hill Bourbon Barrel George Dickel Sour Mash Wiskey BLUE AMBROSIA ... and Krupnik (60 proof) ... if only I had a scoop of Hagen Daz vanilla ice cream to pour some Krupnik on.

Amazing place to taste Mead. If you haven't tried it yet, this is a must. They also have beer and Mead spirits. Kat was a great host/bartender. Knowledgeable and friendly. Great honey products. Try the hand scrubs in the bathroom. We picked a great night to stop in and enjoy this wonderful jewel of a place.

This place is a must visit! Madeline was so hospitable and overall wonderful. We tried so many things and took home almost one of everything. Mead, spirits, and honey! And they ship - great for travelers like us!

Wonderful place, best deal you can get in the Keys. I didn't know much about mead but the 10 for $10 flights is an awesome way to get my feel for mead preferences. The lady was super helpful and even let us try the horse radish mead, which I wouldn't recommend but is definitely a nice palette cleanser. They even keep real bees! They also have games stocked to play with friends.

We walked from booth to booth sampling all sorts of food from the dozens of elite chefs, plus drinking the wine from various wineries, all the way from California to Italy. The chefs and winery staff were very friendly and informative, explaining what their offering was comprised of and where they were from. Some of my favorites were the oysters, Wagyu beef, and French wines. For entertainment, they had a DJ playing some really good tracks. It was such a fun atmosphere. To make this even better, I would suggest the organizers consider a few things for the next Best of the Best: larger signs on what the booth is offering, and where they are from. A live band performing on stage. Paper plates, instead of the use of a lot of plastic. And finally, making the event a bit longer in duration, perhaps till midnight, instead of 11:00pm. We were having so much fun that the night just flew by!

I finally got the chance to check them out one afternoon when I was in the area. Brewlihan Mead is a 1,700-square-foot mead house and tasting room owned by John and Stacey Hoolihan. John had a background in science education and started out brewing as a hobby. What turned into a passion became a business. Brewlihan Mead is the first commercial meadery in Broward and Palm Beach counties. Mead, sometimes called honey wine is an alcoholic beverage made from three ingredients: fermented honey, water and yeast. It is the first alcoholic beverage consumed by mankind and is believed to predate wine by nearly three thousand years. Since the taste of honey can vary by region, mead can have a diverse and complex flavor profile. To make the mead at Brewlihan, the water, yeast and honey is placed in fermentation tanks with fruit and then aged in oak barrels for 2 to 5 months. You can take your mead to go in cans or they have a nice bar inside the tap room where you can enjoy your drink. I took my mead home and while I enjoyed all of it, my favorite was Winter in So Fla which truly evoked the tropical feel of a winter in Florida. Mead is a great alone or as a pairing to a meal. If you are a mead enthusiast they have memberships for $300 with a host of benefits listed on their website. Whether a casual or refined drinker of mead, you are sure to find something unique and delicious here. John and Stacy are so warm and friendly and this is the kind of science I really enjoy.

The staff is wonderful and have even given their own recommendations when I have ordered a couple drinks because they personally didn't like them. I like that they did that because it shows they aren't trying to push certain drinks, especially when they have told me I can bring it back and exchange it if I didn't end up liking what they recommended! Prices are very reasonable and each drink they have here has different ounce pours that are different prices so it is very easy to mix and match and still have a nice little budget of money left lying around for their food. I got some pretzel bites for an appetizer and then one of their pizzas for my meal last time. The pretzel bites were very good and the cheese sauce they make there was amazing as well! The pizza was very tasty and for the price and leftovers I still had, it was well worth it. This place does get busy in the evenings so be ready to maybe stand around waiting for a bit before a table opens up! I love the layout and atmosphere because you can see where they bottle their beer there as well as the nicely lit place overall!

We started with the pretzels and spicy beer cheese, this was okay, we loved the pretzels... but the dip was nothing special: 7/10 We then moved onto the Korean BBQ Wings, when I tell you these smelt just like a meat filled dog treat! It was a little off putting, but my partner loved them (she has that dog in her) and I felt they were average: 8/10 We then moved onto the Hawaii 5-0 Pizza, the toppings were definitely fresh and high quality, the pizza did come out burnt... this may be due to me asking for "well done". Pizza was average but Im sure if I opt to not ordering it "well done" it would've been much better!: 8/10 All in all, it's a great environment, awesome staff, good food, and a lovely atmosphere filled with people of all ages! Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant - Coconut Creek Review…read moreDinner Date: August 23, 2026 Location: 4473 Lyons Road, Coconut Creek, Florida 33073 Hubby and I decided to go out for dinner with his brother and wife. We wanted to spend some time together, have a few drinks, and enjoy a nice dinner, so we decided to visit Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant in Coconut Creek. We arrived around 5:00 PM and had reservations. Unfortunately, when we entered the restaurant, we were not greeted at the entrance, which was our first disappointment. Once we were seated, we were greeted by our waiter, Brian. I want to give credit where credit is due because Brian was attentive and did everything, he was supposed to do. He asked us what we wanted to drink, asked about appetizers, checked when we were ready to order our meals, and continued to provide us with service throughout our dinner. Unfortunately, the food was a completely different story. I ordered the meatball appetizer, and when it arrived, I immediately noticed something was wrong. The meatballs appeared to be burned underneath the sauce, and they were so hard that I could barely get my fork into them. I had to stop Brian and ask him to take the meatballs back to the kitchen and remove them from my bill. Brian did so, and I appreciated that he addressed the issue. I then ordered Churrasco Steak with Parmesan Fries. The steak itself was good, but the fries were cold, hard, and did not have any Parmesan on them, even though Parmesan fries were part of the order. At this point, I was extremely disappointed with my meal. And my brother In-law who ordered a steak sandwich with Cesar salad, the salad never arrived with his meal. And when we stopped our waiter for the salad it took 1/2 hr to stop him and remind him of the missing salad. The dinner portion took 45 minutes before being served on a busy Saturday night. Because I was so unhappy with my experience, I asked Brian if he could please get the Manager because I wanted to personally explain what had happened. The manager, Tim, came to our table. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed by his response. He did not appear concerned about my experience, and I did not receive an apology for the problems I had with my meal. I had to ask him, "What can you do for me?" What happened next made the situation even more frustrating. Instead of addressing the fact that my meal was the one that had the problems, the manager decided to give me credit for my brother-in-law's sandwich. I did not understand this resolution because my brother-in-law was not the person who had the problem with his meal. I was the customer who had the burned meatballs, the cold and hard fries, and the missing Parmesan. At that point, I felt that my complaint was simply not being taken seriously. I want to be clear that Brian, our waiter, was not the problem. He was attentive, polite, and did what he could to help when I brought the food issues to his attention. My biggest disappointment was with the management response. When a customer takes the time to explain that they had a horrible dining experience, I believe the manager should show concern, listen to the customer, apologize, and make an appropriate effort to resolve the situation. Unfortunately, I did not feel that happened during our visit. This was supposed to be a nice evening out with family, and instead, I left feeling very disappointed. The food was not what I expected, and the lack of concern from Manager Tim made the experience even worse. Unfortunately, I would not recommend Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant in Coconut Creek to others based on this experience. I strongly suggest that management consider providing additional customer service training, particularly regarding how complaints are handled and how managers should respond when a customer is genuinely dissatisfied. The waiter Brian deserves recognition for doing his job well. Unfortunately, the food and the management response left a very bad impression. Management more Training!!!! Especially Mr. Tim. Disappointed Customer.
