Exceptional! The keyless entry on my car didn't work - both of the fobs failed. I called various locksmiths and the cheapest were $140 to reprogram. I phoned Keyway Lock Service, they quoted $120 and, unlike the others, they came to me! Quickly, too! So their technician arrived. I gave him the fobs to reprogram. A few minutes later he finished - told me that the keys were fine and didn't need to be reprogrammed at all. Turns out that I put the batteries in backwards! Guess what? They didn't charge me at all. I would highly recommend Keyway Lock Service. I found them to be knowledgeable, professional, courteous and responsive to my predicament. I had broken the key off in my firesafe lock. I called them and asked if I could drop by this afternoon with my firesafe and have them open it for me. I called on a Monday afternoon and by Wednesday at 9am I had new keys. My tech Kin showed up right on time, with a call 10 minutes before to say that he was en route. He was professional and friendly and super fast! He came to my job and made a new key - door to door service, no hassle. And super affordable! I recently had a new screen door installed. The installer said I could pop the lock out and have it rekeyed by a locksmith to work with my current home key. I took the lock to Keyway and a few minutes later, my existing key was working with my new door lock. Do not use. They overcharge an absurd amount for small things. Made a call and asked for a quote. The rep told me they couldn't quote me because they needed to see what they had to do. I told them the door handle wasn't working right so they sent someone out. A few days later, after the technician met up with my tenant and fixed the lock, I get a bill for $400. 45 minutes of work, 4 bolts tightened, and one screw like thing replaced and they charged me 400. I called and the rep said they did overcharge me and it should have been 300 which is still absurdly high for the work they did. I then speak with a manager who said the 400 was regular price but they dropped it down because they didn't quote me. Original pricing was based on a $80 service fee, $45 for each bolt tightened, and then the rest for the screw replaced and installed (mind you the tech told my tenant the screw was only $10 and they charged me $55). I called at least 5 different locksmiths to get a very old mailbox lock repaired/replaced and Keyway gave me by far the best deal. Moreover, they were super flexible in coming out to fix it (even waiting for me for at least 20 minutes while I was stuck in traffic trying to meet them), and then coordinated with me to do the work when I couldn't make it. 2010 Honda CR-V key replacement = $155. I also got a new shell for a broken key = $45. With website's 10% coupon and tax, total = $190.80. No same-day appointments available, despite the fact that I called in the morning. Gave me a window of 9-12, but arrived closer to 1pm. Tech was grumpy. The new shell did not stay together and I had to insist to get a new shell. Great price, but stand your ground before accepting a defective replacement. read more

The technician who completed the job was professional, but I was treated with disrespect and hung up on by the owner. I made an appointment and was to receive a phone call by 4:00, saying the technician was on the way. I left both my home and cell numbers. When I hadn't heard from them by 5:10, I called and was told by the owner they'd written down the wrong phone number. That made no sense, as I'd left two numbers. Shortly after that, the technician called and my car was fixed. I still wanted to discuss my frustration and sense of being deceived about the phone number. When I spoke with the owner, I was told they only had one number, which was incorrect. I noted they had my name and address and, therefore, could have looked up my number. The owner said they were "not a detective agency". When I began to respond, the owner interrupted me, said "You know what?" and hung up. read more

Worst service I have received. Keyway was paid by a local dealership to create a new set of keys for my car. The first time I met them, after one hour wait and two hours with their technician, he finally realized he had the wrong key types for my car. Today a year later, I drove 1 1/2 hour from my house to meet them at the dealer at 1:30pm. It was 6:32pm by the time their technician showed up, exactly 5 hours late. And even after he showed up he was on his cell phone for two minutes before he came out of his truck. They will do the work for you (I can't take that away from them) but they have no regards and respect for their customers time. I will NEVER use this company and have advised the dealership about the poor performance of their service provider. read more
