I hate kicking a business when it's already down(on Yelp). And i especially hate kicking down major fast food chains because nobody gives 5 star ratings to these places anyway- but I have to get this off my chest. How hard is it to have CHICKEN ready at a CHICKEN restaurant? 18 minutes, apparently. Grilled chicken takes 18 minutes, Original chicken takes 18 minutes... oh wait, Crispy chicken is ready- Oh wait, i'm sorry, Crispy chicken is not ready- Oh wait, Grilled chicken will be ready in 5 minutes but the breasts won't be ready, will you take two wings instead? I'm sorry, can you wait 10 minutes? They just rebuilt this KFC from the ground up and it looks awesome. The customer service here is fine- no complaints there. It just blows my mind that I've gone here three times in the last two weeks(mail coupons lured me in, so sue me lol) and each time the chicken I order is never ready. =( read more

I was craving for few hot wings tonight so I went to my old hang out since I was in high school. Tonight I witnessed a staff cleaning the boys bathroom toilet lid without using a pair of gloves. Then she came out of the bathroom and did not wash her hands. And proceeded to take orders. I tried to stop her from taking orders and ask her to wash her hands. I asked to get my money back and cancelled my order. I will not go back. It's up to you. KFC staff needs to be trained properly. read more

Sunday night I was in the mood for some KFC so my partner in crime and I fired up the old truck (my car was block by her car in the driveway) and drove to the location by the AM/PM minimart . Lo behold it was razed, closed for remodeling. What...where to now? Off to Webster street where people on the westside go to. What... it is not there anymore. Where are all of the KFCs in Alameda, poplulation of 60,000 and no KFC. Extra crispy fried chicken, cole slaw and corn bread. Update: 2/18/18 Still a mess. Gave me and charged two large orders of green beans. The guy asked me to repeat myself then added them. Ordered Tenders Basket and just got 3 tenders. Mashed potatoes and no gravy. Continues to disappoint. Monday, 10/27/2016 @ 7:00pm. This KFC is a shit show. Always out of chicken breasts. Always asked to pull around and park to get food when going through the drive through. People waiting on orders while at least 3 employees were on "break" and the rest didn't seem to care about being there at all. Will NEVER be back here again. I live 3 blocks away. read more

OK. This is not "four stars" because it's amazing food. It's "four stars" because whenever I've had a KFC craving, they've delivered, and people shouldn't be scared off by these negative reviews. I always use the drive-through, and almost always get an 8-piece family meal. And always fried, not grilled. Never any kind of wait, and it's always been fresh. KFC is not what it used to be. I don't really like the taste of the Original that is going on these days. I prefer the Original from years ago. They don't have Spicy chicken like Popeye's and Church's Crunchy is better than KFC's Crispy. BUT.... KFC has Strawberry Parfait and I would love that as a kid! I also love their corn on the cob, however, their corn seem to be getting smaller and smaller. I like their mashed potatoes and gravy. I like their sandwich with 2 breasts, cheese, and bacon... can't remember the name, but there's no bread in that sandwich. Too bad the Webster St. @ Buena Vista Ave. location closed down as that place brought so many memories into my life.... The Newly renovated KFC in the old location on Encinal Ave. @ Park Ave. just doesn't do it for me anymore. New look, new layout, still doesn't have many seats for customers, and the taste of the chicken isn't that spectacular. Be careful of on-coming cars as well as cars going through the drive-thru as it's poorly laid out, and is kinda dangerous. HOWEVER, KFC is KFC and I think that if Colonel Sanders were still alive, he'd kinda be bald by now from all the stress, wondering why the new "Original" recipe is not the older "Original" recipe. 3 Stars only because I like the Strawberry Parfait dessert. read more

This place is a hit or miss. Somedays you'll get yummy chicken but others, the chicken are not fresh, too over done and the service is terrible. Sometimes I ask for some request they would not budge to change just a little something. They even cough on your food, and I request it to change but they deny they did not cough nor hands were washed. A lot of times when it's full of teenagers there, you'll get bad service, they don't care...just there for a paycheck. read more

This KFC in particular had the absolute worst customer service I have ever dealt with in any fast food companies. First, the customer service people gave me attitude right when it was my turn to give my order. The lady said, "you ready yet?" Her manager was right there and heard everything but didn't do anything. Secondly, when I opened up my $5 fill up box I was given these very small twig looking prices of chicken. They made me wait 10 minutes for 2 twig looking prices of chicken and on top of that they didn't get me napkins. The utterly disrespect that's at this KFC is unbelievable! I continue to find this place simply hysterical. I haven't been since my last scathing review but I was over that way, didn't feel like cooking dinner and figured I'd check in to see if the owners had seen the light. I ordered the 4 piece combo from the pleasant young man at the counter. I asked him if I could get all thighs and he cheerfully said yes. "Original or spicy?" Original, I replied. He went straight over to the counter to fulfill my order (no other customers were there) and I had the order in two minutes. I took off. Went home, opened the box: One thigh, one breast, one very sad drumstick and one what I can only describe as a mutant wing. This place just cracks me up. I dare you to try it out! read more

Great service, they loose points for the bad parking. They did a remodel last year so the place looks great, and the owners/managers make sure it stays that way. It's a hot spot for the after school kids, so the rush comes just before 3ish, but their pretty quick with the food, even during that time. I haven't had KFC in a while, and saw the sign after circling Park Street looking for parking for another restaurant to get some take out. The drive-thru was quickly, accurate, and friendly. When someone orders a meal type utensils should be an automatic add to the bag, just like the wet-wipes are with KFC Chicken. I ordered food from the drive thru and was asked to park in the front were someone would bring my food out to me. After a 15 minute wait an employee brought me the wrong order, 5 minutes later another server brought me a wrong order again. The original employee came back again with a wrong order and after repeating to her what my order was suppose to be, she called on the radio to confirm and told me that the food was still being prepared. I watched as this employee was going from car to car to figure out who ordered what. The main concern however is that she was not wearing any type of face masks as she was engaging with different people. When she made it back to my car with my proper order, she came right up to the window, talking without any protection. I think Managements needs to make sure that the employees are doing everything to ensure the safeguard of their customers as well as their employees and make wearing masks mandatory during this pandemic. read more

I agree with other comments about the lack of appropriate etiquette. I received a complaint from one of my clients who was a great-great grandmother about how rude the people are at KFC 94501. Because she had received a coupon in the mail in Spanish, I offered to go through the drive through and order a three piece chicken for her. I tell the man at the window that I am having trouble with my wrists but I have the 9 cents change ($7.09 meal)as I hand him $10.00. He doesn't wait he gives me 91 cents change. I ask him for three one dollar bills and i try to give him the nine cents. He refused and said he had closed his cash register. I am a broadcaster, I told him I prefer the ones. The woman manager (5:31 PM TICKET # 2377, 1/29/19) gets me the ones, the man gives me the chicken box and the manager slams the window saying she has another customer. Yes I was livid. The fact that there were only 2 customers at 5:31 PM is probably because of bad manners and a failure to listen. I am a great-grandmother intolerant of ELDER ABUSE! read more

I had to re-create a Yelp account to do this. Generally I don't like doing this. But today, in one of the worst customer service fails I have ever witnessed, the owner/manager of this specific KFC called the law on me because she didn't like my attitude because, with no one else in the drive through, I didn't want to drive around and wait 5 minutes for a doubilicous sandwhich. Was I rude? Did I raise my voice? Say naughty words or make evil hand gestures? No, I asked her why it was my problem that she had a timer on the drive through when she couldn't make my meal in a timely fashion. I sent a long letter to KFC corporate with the sad details, along with the police report number (she wanted me to leave, but wouldn't let me until she got my license plate number, and was re-making my food... honestly, at that point I was willing to change to popcorn chicken if making the doubilcious sandwhich was too difficult!) -- Anyone working there likely should get in touch with an attorney, because I witnessed someone ranting through a resturant, kvetching about me in decidely unprofessional terms, that looked pretty hostile in the work environment sense. If she treated the CUSTOMERS like that.... At worst I was grumpy... call me a 2 on the "a-hole customers" scale. Her reaction was a 11, and even though I wound up trying to de-escalate the situation myself, she was reacting like I was every mean man who ever told her she wasn't good enough, and not an honestly baffled man who really just wanted to have lunch. Full Disclosure: Apparently I've been banned for life. No, really. The APD, btw, was GREAT in all of this -- I guess sincere bafflement doesn't quite jibe with the idea that I was somehow the aggressor. In my car. Outside of the building. The WORST ever. Drive thru forgot everything but side dishes. Drove All the way back to fix, & 1 of 2 male employees was exceptionally rude & domineering. Eventually when I finally got my order it was burnt, spoiled, dry, hard, rotten, AND moldy, likely pulled from the trash. Employee had been intimidating & confrontational, angry that I requested the missing order be made right, arguing I ordered things I didnt order while refusing what I did. Manager in parking lot later said he'd observed the entire interaction without intervening, & asked for my understanding because plumbing wasnt working and several employees had called in sick...Why wasnt the business closed altogether?! I read another review that said that this location was sold out of chicken at 9:15 p.m. I thought it was funny, but didn't really take it seriously. Well, I showed up just before 9:00 p.m. on a Friday night and the location was sold out of "all chicken." When I went in, there were about 4 employees working and no customers. Took about 45 seconds to get their attention. A nice looking kid--who reminds me of myself in high school--came to the register and whispered something. I asked him to repeat it, he whispered something about, "Sold out of [something] chicken." I asked, "You're out of what chicken?" And he whispered, "All chicken." I think I gave him a weird look and said, "All chicken?" He again whispered, "All chicken." Well, I don't know what's the point of staying open if you're sold out of "all chicken." Might as well close at 9:00 p.m. instead of 10:00 p.m. On top of that, my wife has been making fun of me for the past 12 hours by whispering "all chicken" to me at random points during the day. If we could give a 0 star for this establishment, we definitely would. Today, June 22nd at about 130pm, my husband and I had the worse drive-through experience. The associate running the drive-through, Michelle, was short over the intercom, not polite, and seemed distracted. In addition, when we pulled up to the drive-through window, the same associate, Michelle, was blabbing to her colleagues how the car in front of us was upset because she did not get their order right. Venting is important and comforting, especially between colleagues. But what is unacceptable, is for another customer the clearly here that. To top it off, after we specifically requested a certain side, our order was wrong. And when I walked INTO the restaurant to complain and ask, I was addressed by a VERY RUDE (WITH A SARCASTIC TONE AND SMILE) associate, named Alyssa, in addition to Michelle. For a local, who resides, works, and worships within the community, this is very bad business. Employees should be trained better... Why then should I not ask the communities we are involved with to not support this establishment. THIS WAS THE WORSE RESTAURANT OR FAST FOOD EXPERIENCE WE'VE EVER HAD. This has to be the worst KFC I've attempted to patronize. It's fast food chicken and I don't expect perfect service but this place is awful. The last three times I have tried to buy chicken in the drive-through, I have been told that I will have to wait 20 minutes to get a piece of chicken- at a chicken restaurant.
