There's a KFC closer to our house, but the employees aren't as friendly and efficient. When I don't feel like cooking, I pick up pot pies for a great comfort food dinner. Each time I pay I thank them for making our dinner. Not once hasn't that emitted a smile. The last time when asked if I wanted an upgrade for 1¢ more, I declined. I couldn't justify a large pop even though it was a good deal. I offered it to the employee who said she gets that for free (many spots only provide a discount and not free food). Check your orders. They will mess up and if you order chicken pieces makes sure it's right. When I ordered, instead of legs and thighs, I had backs. The part with no meat whatsoever. They will try to fool you. Before then I ordered a 3pc meal and when I got home I only got a 2 pc meal and they overcharge me. They will get your order wrong or mess it up completely. It is always fresh and good, so that's my choice. They have a nice variety of sides too, and I've always loved their cole slaw. They have good family deals and often have coupons in our newspaper. I'm so disappointed in this location. I order using a third party (Ubereats, Grubhub etc) I didn't receive a wing which was part of the order I paid for. I contacted the restaurant spoke with the supervisor Adrian that asked the staff members that apparently prepared my order did he forget Part of my order (as if he would be honest, COME ON we all know he wouldn't own up to it). I walked in and the employee is messing with the in restaurant TV, she sees me but keeps messing with the TV. I politely stand and wait looking behind the counter, I see my order sitting on the back counter NOT under the heat lamps. There's nobody working the counter, I'm now getting pissed off because the employee now done with the TV is slowly wandering around the dining not doing anything, she appears to be day dreaming. I finally spot the drive-thru guy and yell back that my order is right there (8 ft. from me) and I ask if he would hand me my order and that it's already paid for. On my way out I tell the drive-thru guy that it sucks that the damn TV is more important than a customer and the girl, your employee, hear my quip and went-off on my. Now my hearing is bad, but I swear that girl used a curse word and purhaps some sort of slur. Now, getting home I sit down to lunch and these are the smallest buffalo wings I've ever seem, I'm disappointed. It turns out they are cold and the the skin is like card-stock and I can't bite through it, the skin is too stiff! Okay, these itsy bitsy winglets have a half bite of meat on them and again, I'm disappointed further. Ultimately, 3 of 12 were enedible. What. A. Waste. Of. Money! I'm on a fixed income and I splurged to eat KFC, I ended up being mistreated, received food that was obviously left over from hours earlier, AND was left hungry, disappointed and frankly, I'm angry!! But I made a mental note to go to Wingstop from now on because my closest KFC screws over their customers. Heck, even Popeye's customers are treated with respect. Update. We tried this location again. We ordered a chicken sandwich, a spicy chicken sandwich with a large fry, and a chicken little combo with fries and a lemonade. They didn't have lemonade so got a sweet tea. Also a side fry and Mac n cheese. Got asked to wait in the parking lot for almost 20 min. No drinks came out when they brought the food and the Mac n cheese + chicken littles were cold. Waited another 5 min for microwaved Mac n still cold chicken littles. Chicken littles had no Mayo or pickles. Only reason for 1 stars is hot fries and the poor kid who was really nice. read more

I walked in this location today for lunch - filthy from the front door to the eating area. I walked out with my co-workers after we discussed other options in the area and found a KFC on Peterson and Kedzie or Kimball. That location was not much cleaner but a far cry from this literally filthy location. Doesn't corporate check on their stores? I used to look forward to KFC as a kid and do not remember bad service or food even a few years ago. What a difference time makes. If I was on my own I would have opted for another lunch option all together, KFC has really gone down over the years. FYI Peterson location got all but 1 order out 5 right, and they did not half of the items we ordered ready when we placed our orders at 1:15, service was so slow! Isn't it still lunchtime at 1:15? The last time I came to this KFC, there was a working sink when you first walk into the first set of doors. Just a sink mind you, no paper towel dispenser, just an old sink. I haven't been back since because that's weird and their popcorn chicken should be called salt pellets because they are extremely salty, after you eat about 5 of them, you get what I call The Pirate Eye. Great place to grab some KFC.. and afterwards, you can walk it off in the big beautiful park right across the street (Warren Park). The location is great.. They have drive thru and a great eat in facility.. Their facilities are clean and they also have a convenient station where you can wash your hands before you eat, without having to enter the restrooms. Parking is available. The service here is nice and friendly.. and the multi-ethnic crowds are great. One time someone noticed me ask for a bbq and stood up and gave me a bbq sauce from their table so I didn't have to pay for extra.. LAZY EMPLOYEES! Arrived at this location on Sunday December 3rd, 2017, at 10:05 PM. The store closes at 11PM on Sundays. I tried to order KFC Nashville Chicken tenders, a few sides, and they refused to cook me anything because they said they were about to close.... at 10:05PM!!!! LAZY LAZY LAZY. 55 minutes til you officially close, and you can't cook me anything? And you know what their excuse was? That they changed their hours and closed at 10PM. 2 weeks later, called and they DEFINITELY did not change their hours. They just straight LIED to a customer so that they didn't have to cook anymore chicken. The laziness at this location is almost laughable and makes me wonder why some people even have jobs to begin with. Do not go to this KFC, if you plan on paying with anything other than cash. You will be charged a .39 SERVICE FEE to use CREDIT OR DEBIT/ATM. Most KFCs do not do this, but I contacted KFC corp, and they said it is up to the discretion of the owner. So the owner of this KFC decided to pass the charge on to its customers. There are enough KFCs do go where I can use other forms of payment and not have to pay a 0.39 fee. read more

The dine in experience in this location is the worst. We came in around 7:50 pm and walked in so we can have a Better look at the menu. The cashier lady looks very unmotivated and seemed like she was discouraging the customers to order with her demeanor. I mean, I'm not expecting much but just a little respect from one human being to another. When the all the other customers left, we were still waiting for our chicken and the cashier lady, went out to the floor and started sweeping the floor.
