I had a weird milkshake yesterday--which was totally unexpected because I love potbelly. And don't remember ever having been let down by them before. I did a large carry out order and my sandwiches and salad were just as ordered with the nice young person on the phone. But the vanilla milkshake had a problem. It was not creamy. Since we moved to North Park, this has been the go to Potbelly vs the one on Sheridan in Rogers Park. Of the 8-10 times I've ordered from here either pick up or delivery, they remain consistent. Recently I was told to chill on the salt intake so I've been going down the route of the veggie or Mediterranean Sammy. Both are wonderful and even more special if you add some Giardiniera to the veggie Sammy. I ordered delivery today (who is full filled by DoorDash) and ordered some side desserts as well. Of course the veggie on whole wheat was killer and again consistent as always but I did a Chocolate Oatmeal cookie as well per the suggestion of Buffy Dube. While I'm not a cookie person, she was right and yes that cookie was delish. Typically I do not add sweets to any lunches I have but today was special. If you pick up, know there is limited parking but the staff is always friendly and work fast!!! read more

I like Potbelly well enough. The food isn't bad, especially in comparison to a place like Subway. I like that they toast their sandwiches, though sometimes I wish that the toaster was just a little longer. Folks here are friendly enough, and parking isn't typically a problem because it shares the lot with Walgreens, so parking abounds. My biggest complaint is that it always seems to be dirty. The tables always have crumbs on them. This could at times be a staffing issue, but I've been in here when a woman has been standing at the register texting away while multiple dirty tables were just ignored. read more

I would rate this a 0 but not an option. I order a avocado turkey sandwich and received one piece of turkey inside my sandwich which was rolled in a ball and put in the center of the sandwich and not distributed inside my sandwich. Not the first time this has happened at this same location Today they denied me and she was actually making 2 shakes!! Have sent 6 emails now about this with no response. This location is fine. My concern is I used the app for a 5/29/23 for a big order for a birthday party and spent almost 200.00. I never received my perks and I have reached out 4 times about this and have heard nothing in response. From the moment I walked in, Cassandra and her crew were super helpful and accommodating. My wife is a vegetarian and once Cassandra heard that, she let her staff know to immediately sanitize the work station to make sure no meat touched her sandwich. After all that, an older women walked up to pay for her order and didn't have enough for her soup. Not only did Cassandra comp it for her but she came around the counter and helped the woman to her seat and got anything else she needed. It's hard to find people these days that still go out of their way to help make people's experiences better, Cassandra is one of the good ones! We went in at 9:15 when they closed at 10. The employees were already counting the register and all the chairs were up on the tables. When we put down a single chair to eat, one of the workers audibly groaned and looked at the other workers. I said "sorry?", waiting for him to tell me if I was doing something wrong, but he just walked away angrily. The two girls behind the counter whispered to each other. It was just such a hostile environment. We ended up eating in our car in the parking lot because we felt so uncomfortable. I'd feel more comfortable eating with the homeless people outside Walgreens than anyone working at this Potbelly. read more

I mostly come to get the broccoli cheddar soup. It is really good. Only tried their chicken and cheddar sandwich. It is okay,but the bread was too burnt. They changed the days the broccoli cheddar is sold to only couple days a week instead off everyday so i won't be coming in as often. Service was always quick and staff was nice. read more

I started going to Potbelly years ago, when they opened their first place here in the city. I always liked it and I still do. When I found out that one was opening up within walking distance of my house I was so glad, because the other chain that opened in the same strip was Chipotle, which I loathe. Today we picked up sandwiches for lunch and all enjoyed them, though Christopher is not a fan of toasted sandwiches. Mom had the tuna and really enjoyed it. The chocolate chip oatmeal cookie was a delight as well. My only complaint was the noise level. I had to shout to be heard and I had to ask the servers to repeat everything. The acoustics are terrible and the live music, while nice was too loud for the room. Anyhow, we will surely be back. It's too close and too easy! read more

So the sandwich wasn't that bad (though the flatbread was a bit burnt). I had a chicken and bacon on flatbread). However, I asked for the mayo on the side and they gave me two potbelly branded packets. I didn't notice the expiration on the packets until I had eaten...they were 5 days expired. That is bad...but not the end of the world. Hope I don't get sick, but hey, things happen. I told the manager and expected something...anything other than what I got. He said "oh yeah, look at that...we'll make sure and throw those away. Let us know if anything happens to you." Really? While I enjoy Potbelly sandwiches, I do not enjoy eating in an establishment where nothing is clean. Even the to go cups feel slimy. I've eaten here 2-3 times and each time it hasn't been very busy, yet the floor is full of trash, the tables are all sticky and dirty and the trays haven't been wiped down before they're stacked by the register for customers to grab. Disgusting. In addition, the service is rarely anything but apathetic. Won't be back. read more

I'm not sure how else to put it, this place is gross. While I normally don't see much of a point in leaving reviews for chains like this I'm just so annoyed with how things are at this specific location that I have to. The tables are always a mess, the floor is never clean, and the cups for the fountain beverages are always oddly greasy on the outside. The food always comes out fine, the last time I went it was just ok, nothing to write home about. I've been a few times and had absolutely rude and lazy customer service. Potbelly has great sandwiches so I'll probably visit another location and try my luck there. Do yourself a favor and skip this location. read more

The customer service here is absolutely amazing! As a vegetarian it's not often you find places that will (without being asked!) change gloves and sanitize prep areas. The employees were very very friendly, warm, and welcoming. Saw amazing acts of kindness and generosity from the employees, especially Cassandra, towards an elderly customer who was struggling with her food and the bill which just added to the whole vibe of the place and was extremely heartwarming to see. STAY AWAY!!! Something shady is going on here! I went here last Sunday with my mom around 6pm. I ordered us 2 Farmhouse salads from a young guy then when I got to the cashier I decided to get milk shakes for us as well, once I ordered it there was a young girl next to the cashier her job was to get the bread after its toasted (young girl as well) they looked at each other and started laughing (I thought that was odd and honestly kinda rude and ackward) They didn't say anything to each other just looked at each other after I said I wanted 2 milk shakes and busted out laughing! I remember thinking, what's so funny? Should I not get a milk shake? I didn't think much of it and got our drinks and salads and left! Biggest mistake EVER! We came to my house not even an hour later after we ate and drank our shakes! We were both soo extremely sick! Diareah, horrible stomach pains, bloating and even vomiting! My mom is convinced we got Food Poisoned. She was sick for 2 days, I was sick for 4 days. I am 32 years old and I had never in my life gotten that sick from food! I couldn't hold anything in my stomach for 4 days. I am not exaggerating either. Those stomach pains were not normal. I was going to go to the hospital but by day 5 I was feeling better. I am just so thankful I didn't buy anything from there for my 2 young kids. I will never return to this Potbelly's location again! Pretty standard Potbelly's in the neighborhood. It's never terribly busy and there's usually some parking spots which is why I like tHis one over the one on Clark street. The workers can sometimes be loud and I'd say one out of ten times they add oil when I've asked for only seasoning. Traffic getting in can be a little tricky since it's the Walgreens' entrance as well as a crosswalk, but after that you can count on what you expect. read more

The employees at this location seem more chill than at others. And that's saying something, because Potbelly's is usually a place with great customer service anyway. I've never had an issue at this location, and they don't give me sass when I try to get the "secret" menu items. One of the downtown locations did. Plus, free parking. read more

Went here yesterday. The staff was great. I was hungry ordered the authentic Phiily, a bowl of soup and a drink. Almost $19 bucks. The Philly was what I'd expect out of a 7 Eleven and the soup out of a can. In fairness they asked if I wanted toppings like lettuce and pickles but on a Philly? Wish I would have taken them up on it because something was definitely needed. For the money expected much more. read more

Stay away!! Stopped on my way home from a long day at work on a Friday to get dinners. Ordered the Farmhouse Salad & got it to go. Caught the bus home. Open the bag and it's the wrong salad - the Uptown with the dried fruit and candied nuts. I'm on Weight Watchers so I purposefully didn't order that one. I call and I was three blocks out of their delivery. But I could come back and get the right salad - two bus rides later no thanks!! So I'm stuck with nothing to eat for dinner.
