I don't even know where to begin. I entered this establishment to get food for me and my family and was met with nothing but disrespect. I had to wait over 50 minutes for one bucket of chicken and two sides and was constantly ignored by workers. When I was acknowledged, I was scoffed at and spoken to with a nasty attitude. The store is extremely dirty and infested with gnats, and I saw a large centipede crawling on the wall. When we did get the food, the chicken was cold and soggy, the mashed potatoes tasted like sink water, and the mac and cheese was extremely thin and flavorless. My wife and I both have pleasant childhood memories of KFC. So when we had a fried chicken craving the other night, we ordered from here through DoorDash. The fried chicken is legitimately good: crispy skin, flavorful batter, tender meat. I won't apologize for defending their birds. I've paid a lot more for dry and bland fried chicken at bougie southern restaurants. As for sides: The biscuits are a notch above store-bought canned biscuits, which is to say they are pretty good -- buttery, flaky, and delicious with the accompanying honey. The mashed potatoes were astonishingly bland and exhibited a total absence of pepper -- or texture generally. The gravy was decent. The coleslaw is about as close as you can come to candied vegetables, which I love and my wife despises. They did forget to add in the two extra biscuits we ordered (the bucket came with 4, but I wanted a couple extra for breakfast the next morning). I grew up eating original recipe KFC, then switched to Popeyes back in college. Every few years I check in with KFC and today was my day. The store was clean, the service was fast (granted there was nobody ahead of me in line), and the chicken was TINY. Now I know that for original recipe, they cut the whole breast into 3 pieces, not 2 like they do for the extra crispy. But all the pieces were just much smaller in size than I remember. Eh, it's taco bell. You go when you're craving fat kid food. This isn't really a review on the food (as it's taco bell and it's pretty similar across the board taste-wise) but of the service. I don't think I've ever had an order correct, ever. It doesn't matter how many times I repeat an order or they repeat it back; it's always wrong. Forget about asking for sauce (and it seems you always have to ask for the sauce it's supposed to come with or else it'll be sauceless); they'll charge you for the sauce (like I said, even if it's supposed to be on the item) and won't put it on. There have been times I've been charged for sauces (I mean, even it's a dollar here and there- it adds up) to be left sauce-less or told they ran out and still charged. The worst is when you go home to realize there are multiple items wrong, or the vegetarian's food has meat or you're missing food all together. Yeah; I get that you need to check; but it's their job to get the food right, to put the food in, and to not charge you nominal fees for things you'll never get. KFC used to be a traditional, family-fun treat when I was growing up. I'm afraid to say that this is no longer the case. I recently had KFC after a multiple-year hiatus away from it. I had the Crispy Chicken Tenders with a side of Mashed Potatoes with Gravy and Biscuits. The chicken is just not fresh and a little rubbery. I did not feel well after eating it. I went to KFC/Taco Bell today and left VERY disappointed and shocked. I ordered at 6:30PM and was confused as to why I hadn't been called for over half an hour. My friends and I were laughing about something and a VERY rude employee started mocking me in an exaggerated high pitched voice saying "HA HA HA HA HA" and then I turned around and she was shouting at my friend stating that "YOUR ORDER WAS CALLED ALREADY!!!" Mind you, 5 of my friends, including myself were NOT called and it was already 7:05PM at this point. I turned to the employee and told her that "we'd been waiting for 30 minutes at the counter and none of us were called" and she aggressively again began to shout "YES YOU WERE! YOU WERE CALLED SO LONG AGO!!!" Our orders were also wrong, the food was cold and soggy, and even as we were leaving the employees were saying rude things about us. Best KFC I've ever been to. I've always went on Friday nights with my friends after going ice skating nearby, and I was always greeted by the best KFC employee I've ever met, Jeffery (and Warren, who was more laid back yet nice). He takes orders and makes sure it's always exactly what you want, while being funny while at it. We quickly became friends, and having my order taken by him every friday became something hilarious and enjoyable my friends and I could look forward to after skating. Since then, we've gotten bored of skating and we won't be coming as often as before, if at all. I'll always remember you when thinking of the good times my friends and I have had this year. I only go here because I think it's the only KFC/Taco Bell any where close to where I am. The people here are so lazy and incompetent. Every time I make an order that has more than two parts to it, they get it wrong. The cashier doesn't quite listen to you. Not only did he not get that I wanted two burritos, but he got the WRONG burrito! Due to the cashier's incompetence, I had to have my card swiped 3 times and got three different order numbers. When I wanted the KFC kids meal, the people in the back almost assembled it wrong; however, since I already had experience with them and kids meals, I watched them and made sure they got it right this time (do NOT ask me me how many times they forgot a part of the kids meal - if I were getting this for a real kid, that kid might have been very upset! Good thing it was for myself! ...And I was still quite upset - I WANT MY APPLE JUICE MAN!). The people who work there are not very bright, despite the fact that I told them that all three orders were actually mine, they were unable to deviate and put it all in one bag, thus I had to bring things in a million bags! Furthermore, the personnel are not nice at all. They are grumpy and mean. I think they would do better to fire everyone, get a new manager and hire borderline mentally retarded people to work there. MR workers tend to have more pride in their work and are much more friendly. The only reason I gave this place 2 stars is because at least the food is standard fare.
