Love this place and would recommend to anyone. Been coming here for years since attending the college across the street. Chicken, ribs and all sides are cooked to perfection. The food was delivered in a timely manner I live about 6.5 miles away and not only was the food delivered hot is was absolutely totally scrumptious! Located in a small plaza at the Dalewood Shopping Center, On The Run's outside doesn't look appetizing to dine in. Period. While hubs was feeeeeening for these ribs in the last 19 years we've lived in White Plains, I always came up with a 'better idea' to dine elsewhere. The good news for hubs is he doesn't have to travel down to NYC to get ribs because Westchester County has a few BBQ spots....plus this is literally a 3 minute drive from home. But the chilly and cloudy weather had hubs doing delivery. I think one of the reasons why I finally came to terms with Ribs O.T.R was because hubs dissected that menu real good for me and noticed a baked fish or two, some fried items like the Clam Strips, Shrimp (which we got- had nice size but were under salted), some more seafood, Sweet Potato Fries, Wedge Cut Fries and other Sides. Placing our phone order was seamless (though you can order through Yelp). I honestly don't know how legendary their BBQ taste is, whether or not these folks use a Texas style, Alabama style, Kansas City 'rub' and if they use smoke, fire or wood. Who the hell knows....all my husband knows is that he lovvvvved his (pork) ribs- especially when they honored his, "light on the sauce" request. Plus he also liked the char and weren't drowned in sauce. I personally don't know how much of a kick-ass level these ribs have- but hubs was all over them. My baked Flounder had a nice seasoning and I give Ribs On The Run a few check marks for offering seafood and using lump crab and not imitation in my dish. But that stuffing had clumps of breading in it and I couldn't finish it all. Normally I love hole in the wall type restaurants, but nothing about this restaurants food was worthy of a positive post. The experience started when we walked in and the girl behind the counter was helping a small family and being short but not outright rude to them. We look over the menu, decided on the ribs with Mac n cheese & beans and of course a stuffed baked potato with bacon and cheese. First of all, the ribs were fall off the bone, moist and overall good .. nothing out of this world, but definitely good. The rest, plainly put, sucked! The beans tasted like they came straight from a can of baked beans; the Mac n cheese was cheesy but again processed tasting. The baked potato was the most upsetting, unfortunately. It was a decent sized potato topped with gross cheez whiz and some kind of meat (it looked like chopped up spam or maybe Canadian bacon.) but was not crispy bacon. We had to take most of it off, as it was overly salty, undercooked and metallic tasting. Definitely will not be back. read more

I ordered the cheeseburger with French fries and coleslaw. The burger was good but little overdone (burnt on the edges) but now I know to be more specific next time I order. The chicken also is quite flavorful and moist. Juicy, never dry, perfectly spiced. The sides, they do not disappoint. The fries are crispy, the potatoes are moist and well appointed. And the order is seldom wrong. For those of you who order to go, and order A, B, and C, only to find out when you get home that it is X,Y and Z, this is not that kind of place.
