I stopped by Yalla Mr Halal and the food was honestly so good. Everything tasted really fresh and had a lot of flavor. Definitely one of the best halal spots I've had. The service was great too. Everyone working there was really nice and the food came out pretty quick. Overall just a really good experience. I'll definitely be coming back. If you like halal food I'd definitely recommend trying this place

Texas Fried Chicken & Gyro - 'Lamb' over rice with salad and white sauce..they forgot the red sauce

In all honesty, I walked out. I ordered something and aside from there seeming to be no rush at all…read morein getting me my food the place looks filthy. There were several health code violations clearly apparent including having an large uncovered trash receptacle in a food prep area as well as food that was obviously out for more than six hours left uncovered (pizza). I have a 'love hate' relationship with this place. When it first opened a few years ago, it was run…read moreby a sweet old man who didn't speak English but seemed to understand it because my order of lamb over rice with red and hot sauce, was always on point and I'm pretty sure it was authentic halal. Service was VERY slow, but I learned to call ahead, which helped a bit. Then I noticed 2 young guys there, same story with the good food, slow service. As of the last few months, D'Italia the pizza place from down the street, has moved in and taken over. They have both signs over the door and on the menu. The food is always good, but sometimes I get a packed plate for my money, other times not, sometimes they put white and red sauce when I ask for it, other times they forget one or the other, usually different pricing for the same order. Today was a day they forgot the red sauce, thankfully I had some sriracha at home but it's not the same. The order came to just under $12 and the dish was PACKED, my last visit it was $15 and there was a lot of room in the container to fill. Parking lot was a complete mess, that's almost always a guarantee. The same guy who ran D'Italia and was fast and knowledgeable, is also running this place and seemingly like it's always his first day on the job, along with everyone else working there. I also don't know how accurate it is to say their food is 'halal', which to me doesn't matter but it may to someone who is strictly halal. The parking lot is still atrocious at least they paved it, and there's not even anywhere else close to park if you can't get in. So my advice here is to proceed with caution..if you catch them on a good day, you'll love it, otherwise, you might not want to return. PS, the phone number posted on Yelp and of you google them, is disconnected but the one on the menu in the pic I posted is working. PPS, I hear from an avid fried chicken eater that theirs is not good, nor was it before D'Italia took over. Unfortunately this is the only place around where you can get a Kennedy Fried Chicken-type meal.

Best Indian culinary experience for my family in a long while. Since I cook Indian food at home, I…read moream quite picky about Indian restaurants, and Mumbai Dreams blew our mind. What impressed us first was their friendly, efficient and thoughtful service. I believe the man who took our orders was the manager. When he learned that I was a dairy-intolerant vegetarian, he informed me that the two veggie dishes I ordered - Bhindi Masala and Smoked Baingan Bharta - both came with heavy cream but they could switch to coconut milk for an extra $2. Then he went down the list of our order to say that some other items also contained a bit of dairy. I figured that I could survive that much anyway. Although the restaurant sign says "creative Indian cuisine", we stayed mostly with the traditional and our favorites. Our order came very quickly. Arriving in a cute mini tricycle, the samosas were surprisingly plump and substantial. Two of those could easily make a meal for me. The Kure Kure Mushrooms were deep fried and coated with creamy seasonings, bus still retained the chewy bite and aroma of oyster mushrooms. The serving was so large, the spices so abundant that both husband and son said they'd resume this dish after our rice arrived. The meat-eaters were extremely happy with the Malvani lamb, while I was just as impressed with the two vegan dishes. Everything was cooked from scratch, retaining the fresh flavor and texture of the ingredients. There must have been a whole pound or more okra packed in the Bhindi masala, which was dryer yet tastier than what I'd experienced elsewhere, a truly honest value. Baingan Bharta is one of my comfort foods, and their version surely met my expectations :-) We loved their creative Rosemary naan, what a delicious fusion of east and west! The waiting staff kept checking our water supply and other needs. The bill was very reasonable. We are sure to come back for more!

I just returned home from a three-hour meal at Mumbai Dreams this evening. Going into the night I…read morehad high hopes for a great experience. We had a reservation for a party of six at 7:00 pm and were promptly seated and given water when we arrived. Unfortunately, that's where things started to fall apart. We didn't see another staff member for about 45 minutes. Eventually, I believe the manager came over and took our drink, appetizer, and entrée orders all at the same time. Our drinks arrived about 20 minutes later, and the appetizers started coming out intermittently after that. Our entrées didn't start arriving until around 9:00 pm, again coming out one at a time. Some people in our group were nearly finished eating by the time others received their food. We had also ordered naan for the table, but it was the very last thing brought out, at a point when some people had already finished eating and no longer wanted it. Throughout the evening, a young woman did keep our water glasses filled, but aside from taking our order, no one came to check on our table -- no one asked how things were going, whether we needed another drink, or acknowledged the long wait. The final frustration came when we received the bill and saw that a 20% gratuity had been automatically added. Considering the level of service -- at one point we were stacking empty cups on the windowsill just to make room for our food -- this felt pretty disappointing. The food itself was decent, but based on this experience I wouldn't return. One suggestion for management: if in-house service is running extremely slow, it may be worth pausing take-out orders so you can properly serve the customers already dining in the restaurant.
