Secret Recipe Fries
Stephanie B.

I haven't had KFC in years but had a craving. Ordered through ubereats and it was better than my expectations. Food came quickly and was still warm. Everything tasted pretty good and fresh. I was impressed with the pot pie, great flaky crust and the filling has so much chicken. The only thing I was bummed about was the wedges, I used to love them. The new fries are good, they are battered and very well seasoned, they're not super crispy, but I rather like soggy/soft fries. Overall, will be ordering again.

Don't ever order online at night. Placed an order at 9:43pm. Went to store to pick up my order only to find main dinning area closed. Went to drive thru they tell me my order is for 10:40am the next day. I explain that I have already been charged for the food and show him the order on my phone. The manager says he can't do anything except cancel the order. I say fine cancel the order. Today 12/5 I see I was charged for the order. I check KFC.com to see about getting a refund and it says refund has to come from the restaurant. I go there and they claim they won't give me a refund even though I show them the order and the charge in my bank account. I like KFC, but I won't be using their website or that location ever again.

We walked into a small, unassuming space where the focus is squarely on freshly prepared food made with bold, authentic flavors. The dining room is modest and functional, with a counter and a handful of tables that give it the feel of a neighborhood taquería rather than a sit-down restaurant. The energy is practical and welcoming, with the open kitchen allowing us to see the tortillas being pressed and the meats being grilled fresh behind the counter. The birria tacos are the signature order and the dish that defines the menu. We ordered a few and found the tortillas crisped up on the griddle, the beef tender and well seasoned, and the rich consommé served on the side for dipping. The combination of the savory meat, the crispy tortilla, and the deep, slightly smoky broth made each bite feel layered and complete. Other standouts include the adobada tacos, which had a good char and a subtle spice that built gradually, and the lengua torta, with tender tongue layered between a soft roll and topped with fresh ingredients. The pozole was hearty and comforting, with a broth that carried the flavor of the hominy and meat without being overly heavy. The tamales, chicken flautas, and well-seasoned rice and beans rounded out the menu, each arriving hot and freshly made. The pickled onions and house salsas added extra flavor, and the horchata was a popular choice to pair with the meal, its cinnamon sweetness cutting through the richness of the dishes. Service was friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant maintained a relaxed neighborhood atmosphere that keeps people coming back. Despite its modest size, the kitchen moved efficiently, making it a reliable option for both dine-in and takeout. The staff checked in at the right moments and kept the pacing of the meal comfortable, ensuring that even when the small dining room filled up, the experience stayed smooth. If you are looking for authentic Mexican food in the Boston area, Taquería Jalisco stands out for its consistently flavorful cooking, generous portions, and menu built around classic recipes rather than modern interpretations. It is the kind of place where the food speaks for itself, and the simplicity of the setting only adds to the sense that you are eating something made with care and tradition.

When I asked my daughter what what meal she wanted before we embarked on the trip to drop her off at school she instantly said, Raising Cane's. At that point, I realized I had denied her Kane's pretty much all summer and my goose was cooked. The chicken is moist and warm crunchy on the outside and taste like chicken. The batter has a mild flavor to it the compliments, the chicken. The crinkle cut fries are crisp on the outside and soft on the outside and taste like potatoes. The lemonade is excellent. The coleslaw is excellent. I don't get the big deal about the Caine's m secret sauce, which does nothing for me other people love I don't even know what's in. It is fairly priced. Definitely a better deal than McDonald's or KFC.

True to its fast-casual model, service is efficient even when lines are long. The tip to order ahead through their app is a smart one and definitely saves time. The signature Box Combo is the way to go, giving you a great overview of what they do best. The star of the show is undeniably the Cane's Sauce. It has a cult following for good reason, its creamy, tangy flavor pairs perfectly with the crispy, juicy chicken fingers. The sides complete the experience: the Texas Toast is buttery and soft, ideal for dipping, and the crinkle-cut fries are reliably crispy when fresh. It's worth noting that the experience can vary. In addition to this, the meal can also feel quite heavy or greasy to some diners. Overall, Raising Cane's is a solid choice for a quick, dependable chicken finger fix. It won't reinvent fast food, but for a tasty, no-fuss meal where the sauce truly shines, it consistently hits the spot and is a great deal for the quality.
