Let give it another shot. I haven't always gotten the best experience here but this visit was a big improvement. The staff was on the ball when I did a mobile order. I walked in and they were preparing my food I saw the advertisement for fried pickles. Let's say I got it really quick. The chicken was hot and really good. And the pickles were just like anywhere else. The standout was the jalapeño ranch dip. I wish I got more of that to dip into my chicken. This visit was an improvement over the last couple. Never thought I'd write a review for KFC but I had to try their chicken pot pie. I would say that I'm an expert level chicken pot pie eater. Every where I go that has chicken pot pie on the menu, you can bet your bottom dollar that I will be ordering it. And this one gets high marks for it's super flaky crust, creamy sauce, loads of peas, carrots and potatoes , good portion size, and come on, for drive thru and $7 KFCs version cannot beat. Stopped in for something to eat. I decided to go through the drive-thru since there was only one other vehicle in line. I heard that they had mac and cheese and wanted to see what the hype was about. When I got to the speaker, there was a notice stating that several of their drinks were out of order. It happens, but what a bummer. I ordered the the crispy breast and wing combo. What a disaster! The chicken was so hard and so dry, I could barely finish it and there was not much chicken meat. I do not remember it being that way when ordering the crispy chicken. I was so disapponted. The mash and gravy was still good but the chicken was not good at all. The biscuit was also very hard as if it was in the oven for a long time. The inside was slightly soft but the outside was very hard. The mac and cheese was nothing great. Just a simple mac and cheese. I also had asked for a complimentary extra cup of ice as the ice in my unsweetened ice tea was all melted and the cashier said it was $0.25 so I opted out of it. The cashier who helped me was nice though but the quality of food was very disappointing. Sad to say, but I don't think I will ever come back to this location again or to KFC again. Dropped into this KFC in Ewa Beach. Located in a new area right along Fort Weaver Road. Very easy to spot. The restaurant looks new and is very spacious. Order was taken by two young cheerful cashiers. While there about 12:00 noon on a Saturday we had the pick of seating because no one was in there. Ordered a chicken sandwich combo and a famous bowl. The chicken sandwich was classic. Savory and hearty. The bowl consisted of 4 chicken nuggets, corn, mashed potato and brown gravy. Tasty, but a few more pieces of chicken would have made it more famous. Hint: Dining in allowed me to get a refill on my drink. Restroom is locked so if you need to use their facilities while dining in the cashier will need to open it for you. Fair is fair come and give this place a try. Atmosphere is new and fresh so wonder why not many customers? Couldn't tell maybe they were all ordering drive through. read more

Love the food but the number of employees appears to be unfortunately low. No infant or toddler high chairs or boosters at this location - so have to hold your kids on laps to eat if not big enough to sit at the chair or booth seat. Bathrooms can only be used if you purchase something. No refills on drinks. But the restaurant is clean and has plenty of space for large parties. Parking can be problematic during peak hours due to some of the neighboring businesses that also utilize the same parking area. read more

KFC has gotten really expensive in Hawai'i. Yet when I came last week tuesday, the drive thru and dining room was full to the brim. Despite their extreme short staffing and VERY hot temperatures in that restaurant the boy at the counter was super kind and was very welcoming and friendly. He advised me it would have to be a wait for the next chicken, i had no issue and i was glad he atleast told me before i placed my order. He was the only one in the counter and was still taking orders and packing orders and running around to prepare them. My food was fresh, since i assume it was very busy, and i loved the service i received. although the food has gone up, i'm glad to see that atleast the quality isn't that bad, and the service is great. KFC ewa is the only KFC i'll go to now. read more

Unfortunately I think the KFC brand has taken a hit over the last few years. While the food is generally ok and my order is mostly correct, it is not close to 100% which should be the goal. Sassy and rude... expecting you to change your mind on an item if they tell you there will be a wait. I was looking for a Kids Meal something small and not so pricey with a drink. I ended up getting a Chicken Pot Pie. It was priced at $9 and it came with a cookie and a drink. I was quite happy when the cashier asked if I wanted the Meal or just the Pot Pie for $6. I left happy and ended with a very large and crisp and delicious pie filled with mostly shredded white chicken and moist potatos and several peas and carrots. Very reputable, national brand but quality can vary based on location. My experience at this location was very good. PROs: we had an eight piece family bucket. The chicken was extremely fresh and very crispy. We had the original style. As a side we had biscuits which were also very fresh, soft, and warm. We also had potato wedges which were very fresh and hot. The meal was delicious. Just the corn seemed a little old. The staff is very knowledgeable and courteous. Even though there was a short wait, the line went quick and we didn't really have to wait that long at all. I don't mind waiting if the food is going to be very hot and fresh. CONs: parking lot is very small and crowded. Our corn was a little cold. Probably just above room temperature. Our family frequents this restaurant at least two to three times a month, and this evening I was thoroughly disappointed with the manager on duty; RE: how she handled this situation. Today, we went elsewhere for dinner. Probably will not go back to that store again. I walked into the restaurant to order take out. Ordered the $28 8pc fill up. Asked to substitute the Cole slaw for corn. Was told by the manager, (and I quote), "You cannot make substitutions on the fill ups". No, "I'm sorry, you cannot make..." or any sort of apology with that statement. However, she did suggest that if we wanted the 3rd large side, I had to purchase the 12pc meal which was $6 more. Like I mentioned previously, we visit at least 2-3 times a month, order the SAME MEAL and substitutions were never a problem. In fact, I have receipts to prove it. Signage in the store does not indicate "no substitutions", or at least there were none that I could see. My point? The manager on duty could have handled it a little better, and set an example for her young crew she was in charge of.
