I stopped my this KFC on a whim. I was reminiscing about my adolescence and how my family loved a weekend KFC run. The service here, especially the drive thru, was A1. The team members were polite, courteous, and not rushing me by any means. I didn't go in, but the parking lot was clear of debris and the outside appeared clean. I opted for a 3pc regular chicken with mashed potatoes. While it was fresh and edible, it lacked that "zing" I member as a child. It wasn't a horrible meal. But it wasn't as good as my childhood memory either. The cost was $13.00 and the meal did include a drink. I was in Fort Wayne after doing some grocery shopping at a nearby Kroger and I was hungry. Right next to it was this KFC... and I am always up for some fried chicken... especially the Colonels version with his secret recipe with seven herbs and spices... So i went and ordered at their drive thru. There was this older lady who took the order and gave the food. She was possibly the kindest older lady I ever met and one of the friendliest drive thru workers I have ever encountered. Truly super kind. The food was hot and tasty! Friday night around 7:00 pm they we thru the drive thru and they make you wait in the back by their service door for your food and they do not come out, if you tell them they keep making excuses and hoping you will drive off after 20 minutes. We were there for a very long time never got our food, went back to the window and the manager said she couldn't give our $30 exactly back to us. Updated 5/09/23. Ordered thru the mobile app a bucket of extra crispy chicken. Oh man was the chicken good. Tender hot juicy and surprisingly not vet greasy. It didn't last long with my group. Such a far cry from the horrible chicken sandwhich and nuggets we got the last time. But still giving it three stars because the employees are never friendly and they are so skimpy in their condiments such as ketchup, which they now charge .20 cents for, and salt pepper packets that it irritates me. Also they give you 1-2 napkins for an entire bucket of chicken and asking for more is like pulling teeth. One car in the parking lot, one table dining. No buffet anymore. Weren't even sure it was open. The counter person was very nice and apologized for our complaints but the manager (?) refunded our money without even speaking to us. First, there was none of the peach Mountain Dew on the soda fountain which is why we went there. Second, the chicken sandwich ordered was nothing like any previous time ordered, it was like half a breast, really small, and it looked and felt old and dried up, though the counter person promised us it was fresh. It didn't look appetizing at all, it had hardly any crispy breading on it at all. After that we asked for a refund and left. We will not ever visit this location again. The kfc on Dupont road is the most disgusting kfc I have ever been to I agreed to wait for fresh dark meat chicken for 13 minutes that was no problem then added fries to my order while waiting the ride home made me nauseous from the smell of old grease. Got Gizzards yesterday, these suckers were so old and dried out. I bet they were on the buffet for hours, so dried out the breading fell off and it was a dried out gizzard, very chewy , very old, cold, I need to speak with a manager. This is the worst KFC I've been to ! This used to be my favorite location but has gone extremely downhill! Staff is slow and lazy , the food looks like it's been sitting there for HOURS, and the trays are all practically empty..... and they do not fill them up or at least add more to them ! I was excited to have the great deal of the famous bowl meal with a cookie and drink, and my boyfriend got the $5 fill up 3 chicken strip box.
