We haven't been to Golden Corral in maybe 5 years. We stopped going cause of poor quality of food, room temp food, serving area was very nasty, food everywhere. People letting their little ones fix their own plates. You know what that was like right ?? Food and serving utensils everywhere. A HUGE NASTY MESS !!! Saw some of them pick food u with there hands and back in the service trays. OMG !! Soooo we left. Didn't get to eat. Got a refund. Off we went to McDs. Lol, yeah we like McDs. So last week on Friday we talked about trying it again. Husband was shocked I said "one more try ". They weren't too crowded yet around 4:30 pm. The plate stand was clean and well stocked with plates, and silverware were wrapped in long wrap packets. The service line was clean and food was surprisingly steaming from heat. It was all hot !!! Tried the fried chicken, mashed tatoes corn (with extra butter of course) , their warm delicious dinner rolls, fried shrimp, they had 2 kinds both were hot n crunchy. Stuffing, gravy, fried fish Husband just loved, I thought it was good too. They also had beef chunks with gravy and sliced beef with peppers n onions for wraps. Ground beef burgers and for tacos. Just about anything you could think of they had. I had my share of shrimp I tell ya !! Lol Husband had his share of fish and steak a young lady was constantly wearing on a flat top grill. The dessert line was fully packed with goodies too. I had a piece of chocolate cake. Was tasty too. Husband 2-3 to different desserts. I was too busy eating to see which ones. Sorry. Lol All in all we were very pleased and impressed with our day there. We will go back again. We had coupons too !! $2.00 off per person. Hey any savings is great in my book. They were getting very crowded when we were about to leave. I think maybe 6ish or so. Can't remember. Glad we tried them out again. Hope you all will to. My husband and I visited Golden Corral Buffet today. It has been our first visit since they've been in this "new" location. So as you can tell it's been several years. Our server Krista was on top of it. Super sweet, kind & caring. She refilled drinks, tools plates away, just the sweetest. There's so many food selections to choose from. We had a great experience. The restaurant was clean, buffets were clean. The bathrooms needed some attention, a good cleaning. We will definitely be back! read more

We arrived at 6 45. We paid for 2 buffets with coupons. The cashier didn't know how to take the coupons off of the total. Tried over charging us. When she gave us the total, I shook my head. Went through this twice before she got the manager. After getting that straightened out, we proceeded to get our food. Extremely disappointed. Steak was mostly fat, chicken looked like it had been sitting out for hours. They didn't restock some of the food. The dessert bar was completely wiped out. I love their food, but unfortunately, the two times I have ordered via on line and curb side I give them a zero star. They can't get it right, both times. It's not curb side, you have to go inside to get it. Wish I could give zero stars.. Never been here before and will not return. Aside for the sweet lady that kept clearing our table and was working her butt off, Golden Corral is disgusting. I would rather eat out of a dumpster. I wasn't expecting fancy kobe beef and fancy sides, but I was expecting home comfort type foods that were warm and fresh. The steak was chewy and had tons of Gristle and was overcooked. The fish was bland. The pannini was a toaster grilled cheese The banana pudding looked like someone had eaten it ans thrown it back up. Decent buffet food at decent prices. What else can you ask? I have been a patron of the restaurant for the majority of the time that it has been open at the new location and I have yet to have more than minor complaints about either food or the service. The place is clean and I have yet to experience any "stomach distress" from a meal that I have eaten there. The staff is usually very attentive (minor issues with some of the cashiers), they keep the food in the warming trays hot and full (need to work on the bacon though, guys, as it sometimes comes out burned/half-cooked) and the omelet/egg station always turns out a great product. There are also numerous food choices across the several meals served daily. Some reviews have complained about the "health" of the food. Does someone SERIOUSLY expect a buffet to be geared primarily toward healthy eating choices? Are the complainers unfamiliar with the definition of the word "buffet?" You get what's on the label....and that's what should be expected. My opinion: This is the best buffet in the Fort Wayne, which has very limited options in this type of dining. We went on a Friday just before 4 pm. Right before the dinner crowd hit. The staff was well prepared and we must've got first dibs on fresh hot food. First time ever in a Golden Corral. I was impressed by how big this place was, how many different buffets they had to choose from and how many staff members there were. It was all impressive. Then I was impressed by how good the food was. I tried the steak, four different kinds of chicken, two different kinds of ribs, meatloaf and two different pot roasts. And it was the best I've had in a long time at a restaurant. They also had pulled pork, pizza Panini and the list goes one. And the huge salad bar and the homestyle buffet and the dessert bar. Wow. All the food was kept fresh and replenished all the time. The place Was clean and the servers were very attentive with the guests needs. I did however find a hair in my food which right away made me feel sick to my stomach and took me a moment to recover but I let the manager Know and she was eager to give me a discount for when we return the next time. She then kept checking on us to make sure we were ok. I have not experienced that in awhile either at other restaurants so it was refreshing. I will def be back when I have a hankering for meat! If I could give 0 stars I would. I observed employee dipping pineapple chunks in chocolate to put out to be served, take a bite out of one of the pineapple chunks then dip it the chocolate and put on the tray with others to be served. I told a member of management what I saw: assuming the employee would be let go. Went back to the restaurant tonight and was very disappointed to see the employee still working behind the dessert counter. I am hopeful the establishment would have cameras to corroborate. Especially in this time of Covid, one would think a situation like this would be taken very seriously. If you like buffets this is the place. But make sure to bring sanitizer and a couple prayers for the snotty nose and sick people touching the utensils and coughing over the food. The food is good if you can get pass the phobia of germs from the nose mouth and bathrooms being all over the utensils. This is one of the cleaness GC I have seen and they keep the food fresh and everything clean as possible.
