I got kfc today and the only reason I ate it was because I was very hungry. The chicken sandwich is whatever I guess. I got some tenders and fries for my daughters and the tenders were very dry and pretty hard. Pretty sure they were sitting there since the day before or atleast all day. The fries were bland with no flavor, no seasoning or even salt. The only thing I got that was good was the vanilla cream dr. Pepper. The girl at the window made me back up my truck because they were being timed or something of the sort which leads me to believe they are more worried about giving you whatever they have laying around instead of making it fresh in order to provide service within the time limit. What used to be a family- friendly, takeout night classic has gone drastically downhill. You used to be able to rely on friendly service, quality food, and specials and deals. I went in today with a question about a special and was met with attitude as if I were crazy for asking (from a manager). Then, when I was double checking that the order on the counter was mine, the employee I asked said "I wouldn't know" with as much attitude as the first. Was raised on KFC it seems. Everytime I ventured home to see Family a bucket of KFC always took the center spot on the table. I enjoy the extra crispy. For a quick lunch I alway get the chicken pot pie which is never been disappointing. After my last visit I was surprised at the cost inflation for a meal. So one of my favorite places has been compromised by the high cost. Service has always been quick and interior always reasonably clean. It's difficult to stay away being it's finger licking good. Enjoying KFC is a rare treat now days since where we live most are now another chicken franchise restaurant. So whenever we spot one somewhere when looking for a quick lunch it's a treat for my husband since it is one of his favorite fast food places. We were greeted by a very friendly young man on a Monday noon hour who was a breath of fresh air for a fast food restaurant, since most of the time I have had the experience of rude teens or someone who has a language barrier. Gave us some suggestions on what we might like as a special and took our order, counted the change back and thanked us. Also I ear hustled while eating and he had such a nice way with all the customers. Especially an older gentleman whom stated his age "94" he was so kind and patient all the employees catered to him so nicely. My husband had the 3 piece dark meat original with 2 mashed potatoes and gravy with a biscuit and I had the new item called a "Go Cup" small portion of potato wedges and you can choose 1 of 3 item I picked popcorn nuggets and it was $2.99 and it was still too much for my small stomach to eat. Wedges were yummy I think they use the chicken coating on them for flavor, popcorn chicken was tasty although a little on the dry side. My husband said his was very good. Chicken moist, potatoes same as always and I tried the biscuit it was perfect. And we shared a Dr. Pepper that was good. Restaurant was clean, booths and tables. No dirty tables that I could see. Dinner for the 4th, not a bad deal. Got the chicken strips box. Everything was hot, tasty, and ready super quick. Thr restaurant is nicely decorated and looks new on the inside. I went to try that new donut chicken sandwich and was greeted with a really nice cashier this time. Only waited a few minutes when the other lady asked me if I wanted extra sauces. The donuts were like a cross between Dunkin Donuts size and Krispy Kreme texture with extra sugary icing. Looks like they hired and trained more friendlier staff and hope they keep this up.
