I've eaten at KFC for 50 years. My wife and I were eating at least once a month there. But my wife bit into a forkfull of coleslaw and spit out a nylon tooth off of a food processor. I contacted the corporate office and sent them a picture of it. I was told that the coleslaw is prepared by another vendor and that this was an emergency shutdown situation and that they would contact the vendor. I never heard another word and they ignore my inquiries. I know stuff happens and I didn't expect much, maybe replace the two tubs of coleslaw we threw out. Maybe say their sorry. She didn't break a tooth or anything so were okay. But the dismissal isn't gonna fly. I'm going to send it (the tooth) to the health department, maybe they'll take it seriously. read more

I write this with absolute mixed emotions. I went through the drive thru. Multiple staff were extremely friendly and courteous, ensuring I'd received my food & drink. I parked within view of the drive thru and had my snack. It was delicious. Unfortunately, what all the staff failed to do, as did I, was ensure my debit card had been returned. Something I failed to realize for a few days. I called and confirmed with a very polite manager, that my card was indeed there in their safe. We have used the drive through on two occasions at this property and both times, they got the order wrong and or left something out of the order that we had paid for. The customer service skills at this site is in need of some serious repair and or management needs to do some firing and hiring of people who know just WHAT customer service really should be. I might just be the one lucky person in Salem who has always gotten everything I ordered and also received good customer service each time. I've ordered via drive through and also in restaurant. Last week, I took my kids in to the restaurant and ordered a large root beer float which my daughter proceeded to immediately spill EVERYWHERE (all over the booth, seats, floor, my pants and her entire self). *insert trying not to smack daughter expression here* But you know what? I have never received such kind and courteous service and understanding from both a manager and the gracious employee who cleaned up that terrible mess. This restaurant is the worst KFC I've been to. We've been thru the drive thru twice, figured first time was a fluke. Shouldn't have gone back. First time, no biscuits in the meal, no utensils. This time (ticket #1788 2012-02-12 @ 4:48 p.m.) ordered off the happy hour menu but was charged full price, no cheese on my Famous Bowl, and again no biscuits in my Big Box. Shorted one set of utensils even when I reminded the girl at the window. NOT EVER GOING BACK. I would recommend that you don't go to this one. read more

He was brusque, assumed that my girlfriend and I were not together and tried to charge us separately, and edged other employees away from the register. poorly managed- i work in customer service- that being said: the customer is generally coming from an honest and upset place. i spent over $40 on a meal for my family and was missing an entire meal from my order, among several missing sides and 3 completely wrong drink orders ( which is an honest mistake in fast food shit happens i get it) HOWEVER, i placed a call and calmly explained what my experience was with the restaurant- im almost immediately interrupted by the "manager" saying she "packed my meal [herself]" and anything wrong with the order was the drivers fault. not once did she apologize for my experience, not once did she apologize for the inconvenience or even make up a bs empathy statement "i can see how thats frustrating" ANYTHING. instead its automatically not KFCs fault, and especially not her fault, but some driver must have went into the bag, taken multiple sides , and an entire meal, also switch three beverages in the back of their honda accord.. i can understand an honest mistake but what i will not excuse is staff not taking accountability, and their unwillingness to listen to their customers and admit that maybe a human being isnt perfect and made a mistake????? weirdos read more

I usually go through the drive thru and order their famous large coleslaw. However, lve been disappointed three times in a row when my order for chicken tenders was shorted. Once it was three missing from the order, another time it was two missing, and another time, a broken piece about an inch long was counted as part of the order. Make sure to check your order before you drive off. They were gracious about adding the missing pieces when I handed the box back. read more
