To: KFC Corporate, Franchise Leadership, and Management I want to talk directly to KFC Corporate, franchise owners, and the corporate office regarding an exceptional experience I had at your Salem location. I came in to sit down, unwind, and work on campaign plans for my mayoral race in Jeffersonville. I originally chose this specific location because I thought I'd heard the buffet had reopened and wanted to try it out. Unbeknownst to me, the buffet wasn't open, which was a bit of a disappointment--but not wanting to look like a busted can of biscuits, I decided to order a smaller meal and just enjoy my time there anyway. When I went to pay, my card ran into an error message and wouldn't go through. I only had four dollars in cash on me, so I went to fill up a water cup and prepare to leave. Right then, a young lady on staff walked over and told me, "We're going to buy your lunch today." She assured me they would take care of it and apologized for the card trouble I was having. It was one of the single kindest things that has happened to me in a long time--a true feel-good moment. The staff at this Salem KFC are a step above professional, a step above kind, and a step above hospitable. I also have to give special recognition to a young man named Lex. He was remarkably professional, extremely attentive, and did a bang-up job keeping the lobby spotless and welcoming. I can't thank this team enough for how they treated me. I look forward to eating here again (and hopefully finding a KFC buffet somewhere down the line!), but regardless, thank you for the outstanding service and keep up the great work at the Salem location. read more

This is for 7604 Highway 60 in Sellersburg, IN: I placed a pretty big order and arrived to find it stolen. Apparently KFC doesn't have customers (or thieves) verify the order before taking it from the shelf. You deserve to lose money if this is how you run business. Stolen food is entirely the staff's fault. Anyway, the order was remade. Staff knew full well I was standing there waiting twice as long for the order. They took their sweet time anyway. Fries got cold as they sat on the nasty counter. No one expressed apologies or even a simple "Thank you, sorry about that" as I left, which would have actually gone a long way. No manners, no courtesy, slow and inept service. No repeat business from me. I'll stick with Chick-fil-A. read more

#61/2023 Just about 10 minutes north of Louisville Kentucky sits sellersburg Indiana on i-65 And the old KFC that's been there for a long time Right next to a Travelodge hotel that seen it's better days directly across from the Kenworth dealer. One thing about this one though they're still truck parking which is a good thing for truck drivers you could pull in here however at night time there's no gas stations or anything nearby so you're on your own. Parking does fill up pretty early in the evening because a lot of locals like to leave their stuff here and then get picked up and go home. I hadn't been to this one probably since just as covid was really beginning and everything was locking down and it was no dine-in social distancing and a whole lot more. Because I had some just so so experiences in the past. Post covid I was surprised to see like most KFCs though I wasn't surprised to see the yanked out the buffet it's going to be completely dismantled and gone eventually they said like pretty much all the KFC's decided to do. park the truck I walked in I was surprised it wasn't very busy at the time it was early mid afternoon but it was very clean. This one has been up and down through the years Reason I'm giving it the four stars of everything worked out good it was definitely above average in my opinion they've done a lot of cleaning up and a lot more caretaken for the most part in my view. Nice thing to see if this one too they still have the KFC grilled by request. I came and got one of my favorites a three pieces dinner they now call it a big box with the sides which is fine so I went with usual mix. Legs but I went with the KFC grilled and then I went with the regular original recipe chicken breast. I got the smash taters and the corn. I came with a biscuit and a drink got Diet Pepsi. Chicken was great it was nice and fresh it was hot the potatoes were really good the only little lacking was the corn it seemed a little dry it was supposed to be sweet corn but I think it was a little older but it is what it is. They got decent hours for the most part good staff again they are very outgoing and friendly bathrooms are very clean and all in all I definitely will come back to this one again and when I want to kick it with the colonel. although many are disgruntled when they come in thinking cuz the buffet sign hasn't gotten taken down off the highway sign they come and thinking there's a buffet and then they kind of hang their heads and walk out all I didn't know it was gone. Eventually they're going to put up new signage I believe and take the buffet signs off which will be a help I guess. read more

I grew up with KFC. And it will always have a place in my heart, particularly because of its local origins. But the simple fact is that other chicken places have a bigger place in my heart these days. In particular, I have rhapsodized about Bojangles in an evangelical fashion. KFC will always be a pioneer to me, but it's just not my first choice for chicken anymore. Their chicken sandwich is good, but just can't compare to Popeye's or Chik-fil-A. read more

I would give 0 stars if able. This establishment has some of the rudest staff that i have ever encountered. Locked their doors an 1 hr and 30 mins before closing time There were other people inside still, ordering and eating. As a paying customer, i needed to use the restroom and they wouldn't even open the door to tell me that i couldn't. A female staff member stared at me and eventually shrugged her shoulders and told me to either go through the drive through to order or go to taco bell to use the restroom. read more

First off, I am not a big KFC fan. I like them, but have other chicken places that I prefer. My wife really likes KFC, so we get it a few times a year. I live in Georgetown, and we typically go to one of the KFC's in New Albany. I was in Sellersburg and stopped there. I hadn't been there in about 3 years. The inside is open, but you can't currently eat in the dining room due to Covid restrictions. I got the 20 dollar deal. 8 pieces of chicken, 2 large mashed potatoes, 1 large Cole slaw, biscuits and 2 containers of gravy. The store was spotless, staff friendly, the order was accurate, well packaged, they asked about utensils and condiments. What more could you ask for. One of the best KFC's I have been in. read more

Disgustingly dirty. The floor was filthy. The tables, covered with trash. The buffet, in horrible conditions. Out of napkins, lids for cups. There was no one in the front to take our order. When they finally did arrive and take our order, it took about 15 minutes to get our food. That was no problem, we weren't in a hurry. But, one bite into a chicken tender and I almost stopped. It was cold. I just cannot stress how unsanitary the whole building was. Workers not wearing hair nets on their beards, not wearing gloves when handling the trash or cleaning the bathrooms. I really worry that I'm going to be sick after this experience. read more

Very friendly staff and were helpful as I hadn't been to a KFC in quite some time. Place was clean and seemed recently updated or on great condition. Very pleased with the food. Very filling and not nearly as greasy as i remember. Bathrooms were even relatively clean which was a nice surprise. Only thing I could even say was "bad" was that it was like a freezer in there. Ok here it goes. I am a single mother of three young boys, ages 4, 6, & 10; also on disability. I was on way home with them in you're when I started having car issues on I65. We made it of the interstate and has to leave our car at kentucky fried chicken at sellersburg indiana. That was on 01-19-2017. I called them the next day notifying them of the car. I called them again on 01-21-2017 letting them know I will be there by the 30th to get the car. I was assured that the car would be fine during there till then. They said they will not have it towed since I contacted them about situation. Well, they has it towed the very next day. Now here I sit no car and as of 01-25-2017 have a you're and storage bill of $230. To get car on the 30th will owe $320. Now is that a way to treat a frequent customer. I think not. So I will never stop there again and neither should you. read more

This place just has bad service. Not only is it ran by a bunch of teenagers only there to collect a check, but the a/c wasn't working. Went through the drive thru today and ordered a 3piece extra crispy combo. Everything seemed fine and even got the crispy I ask for. However immediately after eating and getting home my stomach started turning and almost immediately I threw up my whole meal. Stopped here with the extended family for dinner when staying at the Days Inn next door. It's a KFC/Pizza Hut Express which apparently means that the only pizza you can get is a personal pan pizza. We opted for the KFC buffet for everyone. It should have been a bad sign that we were waving away flies while waiting in line to order. It should have been a bad sign that the tray with the plates that they gave us had a mysterious sticky substance on it. And it should have been a bad sign that there was a funky rank odor in the hallway leading up to the women's bathroom (where I had to head to wash off the mysterious sticky substance). My brother later identified the source of the odor as the wet floor in the men's bathroom - a bathroom that was not wet from being recently mopped. You will probably be able to live a completely fulfilling life if you never set foot in this place while in Sellersburg. read more
