I've always liked KFC's chicken. The side dishes, not so much. The mashed potatos are always kind of dried out with not very good gravy. The corn on the cob kind of mushy. But the chicken with the spicy skin is tasty. The service is kind of slow. The prices are average. Consider Thurmont Beer & Deli which is just up the street a little way which has fried chicken and other food as well. read more

Went through the drive through, they didn't have Mac and cheese, and then we waited about 20 minutes to get our food because they didn't have chicken ready. Finally got our food and went home and opened it up and we had very small "large" sides that were all dried out (called the manager and she said that it was the new size because they're changing everything). The word "fast" does not seem to be in the vocabulary at this restaurant. The drive thru line winds around the building at even the slowest times. But don't think going inside will be any faster. 25-30 minute waits for a simple order of chicken strips or a few tacos is not atypical. Do not go here if you have anywhere else to be for the next hour or two. read more

Went to kfc tonight because me and my boyfriend are on a diet, many people rave about kfc's grilled chicken.. so we'd thought we'd give it a try. We got an 8 pc through the drive thru, which actually for once was pretty quick.. we get home (maybe a 2 minute drive) and the chicken is sooo dry we can barely swallow it. I literally got home with two tacos that did not have meat in them. How do you forget to put meat in a taco?! Besides the shell, there was just sour cream, cheese and lettuce. this place is so dirty. smelled like urine as soon as I opened the door. had to wait 5 minutes for someone to come out front and take my order. the payoff was when the food handler sneezed two times and then wiped his nose on his arm. This KFC is horrible, staff is extremely slow and never gets the order right. Stay away, find another location. A drive thru order can take 10-15 minutes with only 3 or 4 cars in line. Went to this location tonight to get some chicken. I ordered 12 chicken tenders but was told "we only have 3, so yeah." I then decided to get a 12 piece chicken meal and was told they didn't have it. I asked if they had chicken and they said "no. And we aren't going to make anymore tonight because we close at 7. This was at 6:15 pm. Absolutely disgusted with the management. They don't change the grease. Absolutely disgusting and the restaurant behind the counter crumbs everywhere. Very on organized. One of the managers had men calling her ON THE STORE PHONE asking her to go to the bar! Very unprofessional. Managers would disappear 45 minutes at a time socializing outside. Managers dating minor employees. Just absolutely disgusted with that place and it should be shut down. read more
