    Bought a chicken little here recently. $4.00 for two chicken nuggets two sliced pickles on a tiny bun. Lmaooo. What a joke !!

    One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had at a McDonalds…read more I arrived at the drive through of the McDonalds at 693 Main St in Torrington at approximately 7:33 pm. I pulled up to the intercom and attempted to place an order. I spoke into the intercom multiple times over a period of about two minutes and received no response, while sitting with my window open in roughly 10 degree weather. I then drove up to the first window and mentioned the issue to an employee who was taking out trash. He told me to explain it at the window. After waiting several more minutes behind other cars, I reached the window and calmly explained to the cashier that no one had responded at the intercom. The cashier immediately became defensive, stated that he was the only one working, and pointed to his headset. When I asked if he could take my order, he told me to drive around again and shut the window while I was still speaking. I drove back around, placed my order, and returned to the window to pay. I attempted to explain that his behavior was rude and asked to speak with a manager or get his name. At that point, the employee and nearby coworkers laughed, and the window was shut again while I was speaking. There was no apology or attempt to correct the situation. The behavior felt dismissive and unprofessional. A simple acknowledgment of the delay would have gone a long way, but instead the situation was escalated unnecessarily. I will not be returning to this location and would caution others about the level of customer service here.

Always busy (I will get to that in a moment). Three of us for a quick dinner. Two of us split a giant turkey and provolone. One of us had a regular roast beef. Fresh. Delicious. The most similar taste to growing up in NJ I've ever found. My issues have nothing to with the workers or the food. I am always continually frustrated by two things: 1) they staff too lean. I know we need to make a profit, but there was no one available to change out the empty soda syrup for a particular flavor and , seemingly at every location, I have to find napkins and clean off my table from lettuce shreds and semolina from the roll. I have to say, it's not the 3 staff people working. They were flying around and handling the line. It's just that every location needs that one extra person to focus on guest experience. It was $55 by the time we were done. I shouldn't have to wipe my own table or not choose the soda I'd prefer due to capacity issues. 2) corporate needs to figure out a plan for online orders. I've said this in the Watertown location review. And it's the same here. It's maddening to be "next" at the counter. No one in front of you. And a print out for 6 sandwiches comes through and you're watching the team make "ghost sandwiches" while your dine-in family sits and waits. Maybe that extra person can focus on online orders only and dining room appearance? Just a thought. I love the food. I think highly of the people who work there. They need to figure out the guest experience. The money gap between dinner at Jersey Mike's and a sit down restaurant is shrinking. At what point is the extra money worth full service?
