I never had a problem with this KFC. I always ordered to pick up or get my food through drive thru. First time I went there my first couple days moving to torrington. I ordered late at night maybe 30 minutes before they closed. I thought I was going to get rude customer service because i ordered so close to their closing time, but they were very nice. When i picked up through drive thru. They let me know that my order was running late and asked if i could wait and if not they would give me small items to make up for the time so i received 2 biscuits. They also said that they ran out of the gallon bag drink so they gave my 3 large drinks and asked if i wanted to pick out different drinks i could, but i didnt care for that. I didnt have a problem this time with my order either just wished they filled up the gallon bag a bit more. It kind of reminds me of a bag of chips where they are only filled up half way. If I could choose lower I would. We ordered online. When we arrived they never recieve the order. Refused to look at the receipt we had from ordering online. I contacted KFC after being told by the Torrington Store that there was NO basket for sale. They told me that it was 10 pieces for $10.00. When I went in there, they put together a bucket of chicken and it only went to half way up the bucket. Since I have purchased chicken in the past, I know that it goes over the top. Always a long wait. Food is always cold or dried out. I avoid this place even tho I love KFC. The next closest one is in Canton and they are worth the drive. I attempted to try Torrington recently but after waiting 25 minutes for my order to be taken they told me they didnt have the new spicy mac bowl. Wasted almost a half hour just to be let down again. Rude, rude, and rude customer service. When a customer is using a debit card correctly and the screen keeps saying something is wrong with the system, why would you tell the customer that they do not know how to use their card? Just plain rude. The food was typical kfc, so no problem except that there is an 8 piece meal and a $20 fillup meal with 8 pieces of chicken. I ordered a delivery through a third-party delivery site, though I doubt that is why the food was less than great. The delivery guy hands me my food and lets me know that they refused to give him a plastic bag for the 4-5 plates of food I ordered, so he bought one. There were no forks/spoons in the bag, the biscuits and chicken were dry as opposed to how it should usually be; moist and buttery. Slow service is a regular issue here but the food usually has been good which helps off set the service a bit. The buffet was kept up in the past, but today the potatoes were warm and some of the chicken looked dry and other issues of food sitting to long. While I sat and ate I had counted six flies. I agree with the previous review. The service is sub par. For a fast food restaurant that never seems to be that busy, it takes forever to get your order. I will say though, if you remain pleasant and let them do there thing, almost every time, you'll get extra food for waiting. I would not recommend this for big groups because the tables maybe only fit 4 people at most. It was really entertaining being there because there was some drama with the employees that we could hear.
