I tried the $9 Block Feast from KFC. It comes with two spicy chicken snackers, a 5 piece nugget, seasoned fries, a sauce (I went with ranch), and a medium drink. My total was $9.74, which feels slightly overpriced for the portion size, but not outrageous for fast food right now. The fries were easily the standout. Fresh out the fryer, crispy on the outside, soft inside, and well seasoned. 10 out of 10, no complaints. The nuggets were not super crispy, but they were hot and tasted fresh, which honestly matters more. Solid, nothing crazy, but definitely enjoyable. Now the sliders are where it dips a bit. They are small. Like, noticeably small. I get that they are snackers, but I think the meal would hit way harder if they just swapped those for one decent sized chicken sandwich. That said, they were fresh, and the spicy mayo added a nice kick. Dipping them in ranch helped carry the flavor too. For context, I have not had KFC in over three years because it is usually greasy and disappointing. This was actually a pleasant surprise. Everything tasted fresher than I expected, and nothing felt overly heavy or oily. Overall, better than expected, but slightly overpriced for what you get. If they fixed the portion size, especially the sliders, this would be an easy go to value meal. Very Disappointing Experience My experience at this KFC in Tracy was extremely disappointing. The customer service was very poor, and the employees were incredibly rude. It took 45 minutes for just one order, which is unacceptable. What made the experience even worse was the way I was treated. Their attitude and behavior toward me felt disrespectful and discriminatory, and honestly, it made me feel like I was being treated differently because of who I am. I felt very uncomfortable and unwelcome. I hope management takes this seriously and looks into how customers are being treated. I was really craving KFC and don't eat it often, so I was looking forward to this visit, but unfortunately, it was a letdown. We ordered a deal at the drive-thru for 7 pieces of chicken and 2 mashed potatoes w/biscuits, and an order of fried pickles. After ordering, we were asked to park out front. I figured that meant they were making a fresh batch of chicken, since they probably didn't have enough ready. I was okay with waiting if it meant the food would be hot and fresh. But we ended up waiting outside for at least 15 minutes before a worker finally brought out our food. When we got home, we were disappointed to find that the chicken wasn't fresh at all--it was lukewarm and clearly had been sitting out for a while. The pieces looked tough, and the skin had that leathery texture that comes from being left out too long. The fried pickles were soggy and the coating was coming off. To make matters worse, we didn't even get the mashed potatoes we ordered, instead, we were given mac and cheese. The line at the drive thru was short. The young man at the window helped me order because I almost ordered the wrong thing. I wanted an 8 piece mixed with both white and dark meat and he helped me order the right pack. I was asked to pull to the front, I waited just a few minutes and he brought my food out to me. I live right around the corner from KFC. This is by far the worse KFC in my humble opinion. I came here on a Tuesday night and went through the drive-through. I waited and nobody came to take my order so I came to the window and noticed that all the lights were off in the restaurant or at least it seemed that way the place was real dingy didn't even look like it was open so I just left . My wife and daughter came back about three days later and tried to place an order. The guy told her that it would be about 25 minutes to get chicken. The place was not crowded at all. The guy told her that they had a lot of back orders, but there was no customers in line in the drive-through and the place was empty inside. Mind you that I drive past this place at least two or three times a day or night. I've had other past experiences that weren't so good. This is not the first time that we have decided to just go across the street to Popeyes. Just go to Popeyes people save yourself the hassle. It's right across the street. The management style at this KFC is pretty bad. If you don't believe me then go and try it for yourself. Read the reviews from other people. A lot of people are saying the same thing. No more for us. This is very disappointing that I'm writing this review. A 12 piece family meal was ordered at 7:30pm & we didn't get our food until 8:10p. That's a 40 min wait for 12 pieces of chicken?! Unacceptable. I have ordered this amount of chicken at Popeyes and it's never been an issue when it came to waiting. We were told that it was going to be a little wait ... I was ok with it. I pulled in, no cars ahead of me barely any cars in the parking lot, I placed an order for honey bbq wings and potato wedges with a drink. Asked me to pull around and park and they would bring my order out. After waiting 15 minutes I had to go inside to see what was taking so long. I haven't been to KFC in years but tonight it just sounded good. I ordered online for a pickup about 90 minutes later. Food was ready and waiting when I arrived. The place was clean and the staff was friendly. I always check my to go orders no matter where they are from, so I checked the bag and made sure I got all my sides and the extra biscuits I ordered. Everything seemed ok, so I went home. I did find something missing and I called about it immediately. They were very apologetic and offered to replace the missing items whenever I wanted to come in. I said I'd be back in a few minutes to retrieve them. I wasn't angry - after all I'd checked the order myself before leaving. And I can't name any fast food place that hasn't messed up my order occasionally. They replaced my items with a smile, another apology and even some extra chicken. The food was great, the people nice and I went away happy. If I had read some of these other reviews I might not have gone there - but I think people who are angry are usually the ones who leave reviews. And a lot of people seem to be angry these days. Maybe the worst experience I have ever had at a fast food joint. This would be a zero, and, as far as I'm concerned, should be criminal Ordered a $20.00 Fill-up meal, that comes with 2 Breasts, 2 Thighs, 2 Legs and 2 wings. In addition, I ordered 2 breasts. So, I get home and there is only 6 pieces of chicken (only 2 breasts). With this meal comes 2 orders of mashed potatoes w/ gravy. The mashed potatoes did not have any gravy. My guess is that this is happening regularly, but nobody complains, because it's a drive thru only in California. Granted it's about a $6 or $7 difference, but multiply that by hundreds of customers each day, and they have a nice little racket going on. I guess they have to figure out some way to pay their inept and illiterate workers the $15.00 minimum wage.
