On the road to SoCal, we stopped here for food. This was my first ever experience at this restaurants so I didn't know what to expect. My daughter ordered for me. I enjoyed my Chicken Sliders with fries. She had the Hangry Fix Bowl. You can choose how hot you want your chicken from mild to angry. I am less adventurous and chose mild. Food was delicious and filling. Service and service time was good, especially since we were there for a quick stop. I would definitely eat at this restaurant again. Another night of cravings. This time, the experience was below average in terms of order accuracy and food quality. The team member that helped us did their due diligence but this time the mistake was from the kitchen. I had ordered some fries with no seasoning but once home i saw that they were seasoned. So my son missed a bit of their portion of the meal, and he loves fries. Also, the mac temperature tasted below room temperature, not hot at all. So that was disappointing. I know it was pretty late, but stuff like this shouldn't be happening at any point of the day, standards should always remain high when it comes to accuracy and food quality. My partner and I shared the #1 combo that comes with 2 sliders and fries. THE FRIES WERE DELICIOUS! So crispy, hot, and FRESH. The sliders were also delicious, we ordered them without pickles. I wish the sliders had a little bit more slaw (for this reason I did order an extra slaw on the side.) We also had to add a toast on the side as well. (Which was mediocre tbh). YO AND THEN??? THE BEVERAGES?? The drinking fountain, drink dispenser, whatever you wanna CALL IT, needs an UPDATE. Came back after several months. Quality of food is still very good. Nice portion of chicken. Well seasoned and if eaten right away, there's a nice crunch to the chicken. I was hesitant to try since the prices seemed to high but after a hard physical therapy appointment I said I deserve what ever I want so I bite the bullet and stopped in and boy oh boy am I glad I did We started out with the angry fries and let me tell you make sure you get the sauce on my I can eat the sauce with everything on so good the fries were yummy and a big portion enough to share. I was craving some chicken and decided to check out Angry Chickz for the first time -- definitely a great choice. I ordered the Angry Fries with medium heat and they were sooo good. I seriously can't get enough of their sauce! The flavor and spice level were just right. I'm already looking forward to coming back to try more of their food and maybe go up a heat level next time. The service was great too -- I wasn't sure what to order and was debating between the Angry Fries and the Hangry Fix, but she recommended the Angry Fries and I'm glad she did. It was all my students have talked about the last couple of days, so I had to check out the hype. Every time I've gone by, the line has been to or beyond the door, but it moves quite quickly. I think I waited 15-20mins at most from start to finish. I got the Hangry Bowl and a slider, both at medium heat. The slider was the size of a regular chicken sandwich, so I definitely over ordered in that regard. I like that the Cole slaw has large cuts of cabbage, as it lends a nice textural crunch to the sandwich, however I don't know that I feel it adds any value flavor wise. The chicken was both tender and juicy, which was great. Spice wise, the medium was a perfect balance, but certain bites felt like I was taking a giant bite of the seasoning powder (perhaps it was just more concentrated in certain areas.) The bowl was good. Nothing mind blowing but good enough to order again. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about the rice in the bowl, but it turned out to be better than I expected. As far as the secret sauce... come on now. A certain popular burger joint down the road already has that flavor profile locked in- bring something secret and actually different. When comparing to other chicken spots in the area, I'll rate it a cut above for now. read more

I'm always super happy to see something new and different in Tracy!! The wait wasn't too long considering that Angry Chickz just opened. The line to order went really fast and the food only took about 15 minutes. It was kind of loud inside because of how many people were waiting for food but I didn't mind at all. The fried chicken here is similar to Dave's Hot Chicken, a personal favorite of mine! It's super tender, crispy, and flavorful. I'm so glad I don't have to drive out of Tracy anymore for some good chicken sliders. The Mac and cheese in the Angry Mac was delicious too! They layered it with Mac and cheese, cut chicken tenders, and then fries. The way they layered it ensured that the fries still stayed crispy despite being in the same bowl as the pasta. If you want somewhere to chat over a meal it's best to get it to go. Luckily all the meals are presented on to go containers making that easy. My companion and I both ordered the #1 combo, one Hot and one Medium. The meals came presented together with no indication which was which so I asked a member of staff if they could tell me only to be told unenthusiastically that they didn't know then moved on to another task. Cool, Thanx. The bag also contained no napkins or cutlery with not one team member informing or directing where to get them so make sure to check before you leave. After trying to determine which meal was which I'm pretty sure I got the wrong one as I expected it to be much hotter. The food was good though - The "Sliders" are what I consider to be regular size Sandwhiches so the combo was enough for 2 meals. The Chicken fresh & Juicy, Fries had a good seasoning (albeit very greasy from the oil not being hot enough) and Slaw tasty however, it didn't wow me. In an attempt to provide a second opportunity, I visited this establishment on five separate occasions. My intention was to assess its potential improvement, given its recent opening. However, my experience was unfortunately disappointing. Despite paying $16 for a slider/tender meal, I received subpar quality food. The fries were cold, the tender was overseasoned, and the toast was excessively toasted and stale. The most concerning aspect was the sandwich itself, which was poorly prepared. The tender was minuscule and consisted solely of bread, lacking the desired quantity. In comparison to well-known establishments like Howling Rays in Los Angeles and Dave's Hot Chicken, this place falls significantly short. The quality of the food is unacceptable, considering the high price point for a chicken tender (lol) sandwich. It is imperative that the establishment implements improvements to its food quality, as the current offerings are not in line with the expectations of customers. We need a Dave's and Canes in Tracy! How can a new place have mixed reviews in just a short period of time? They can't even get the heat right. How can this be a Nashville hot chicken? I always order hot. I was out running errands today and was surprised to find that there was an Angry Chickz in town. My brother has been looking for a new go-to chicken sandwich spot so I decided to give them a try. Right off the bat, I wasn't too in love with the aesthetic of the place, it seemed kinda cheap to me. The service was kinda awkward but I'll give them a pass seeing that it's a brand new business. I'm guessing the staff hasn't gotten into the groove yet. I was able to order, get my food, and eat so everything was functional. No real complaints here. What really matters is the food. All the combos required you to get two items and this is my main gripe with the menu. You either have to get two chicken sliders, two chicken on toasts, or one of each. Unless I missed it, it doesn't seem like you could get just one on its own. This is a lot of food for one person. I got the #3 combo which gives you a chicken slider, a chicken tender on toast, and some fries. I was thinking that way I'd at least get to try one of everything. Even with all of my minor grievances, the food is pretty good. Definitely better than any fast food chicken sandwich place.
