The food is fantastic but if you have an allergy or bad reaction to scents get takeout. It smelled a little like incense and our server was wearing a ton of perfume. Kinda ruins the taste of the food! A scent-free atmosphere would result in more return customers. read more

We ate here yesterday and it was delicious! We tried two humus dishes, a salad, lentil soup, and a ground beef pie. The service was very good and the setting was relaxing, casual but nice. I would totally recommend trying this restaurant if you like middle eastern food. There was a lot of interesting variety on the menu so we will have to go back! read more

I have sampled cuisines from all over the globe, but never Syrian. The food was quite good. Not enough to fill me up, though. Had to order more side dishes. My only complaint was the service was extremely slow .... at a time when the restaurant was not busy at all. Most of our food was prepared fresh and not just reheated ... that made it very good. The food was absolutely delicious but the service seriously lacked. I went with a small group of friends and got seated pretty quickly but it took about a half hour to even get water. It was only refilled up once. The servers weren't super friendly, they didn't interact with us much. My friend had to go find one of them to ask if they could bring us our check. The whole process took about 3 hours or so. I'd definitely recommend for takeout but we won't be eating inside for awhile. read more

A friend and I had the most amazing lunch this week at khalo Naser! The fatoush salad was made with very fresh ingredients and a delicious dressing. Id definitely recommend the tasty lamb kabab wrap, too! We saw many other delicious-looking entrees being delivered to nearby tables. Staff was very friendly and helpful--I highly recommend this unique restaurant!! I'm bringing an out0of-town friend there next week. read more

I had lunch recently and found this restaurant to be very good. Kind, caring service and if you like fresh humus, you will love this place. Certain plates may take 20-40 minutes to prepare but I am willing to wait for fresh food. The service was spot on, they kept us informed and the owner brought out a free plate of falafels and pickles while we waited. The Ka-bob was nicely cooked and the least favorite on the plate was a side "Greek" salad that was underwhelming. The bread was freshly baked and the price for lunch was high, but I gave a good tip for the excellent service we received. A good choice if you are looking for something different for lunch or dinner. read more

First time here and went because of the reviews. Ordered a variety of dishes, and most of it was tasty. A couple of cubes of chicken were noticeably undercooked, we ate most of the food and politely informed the wait staff so they can be more careful next time. We were not asking for a refund. Suddenly a cook and the owner came out and told us we were wrong and they never get complaints and that is how they serve the food. We explained that some of the chicken was perfectly cooked, but some large pieces were not fully cooked. They were rather rude for to these first time customers. We were simply trying to help and we did not appreciate ring treated this way. This place is off of our list. read more

Absolutely loved this place! The food was was tasty and beautifully plated. Had the vegetarian plate and everything was delicious, the baba ghanouj was freshly prepared and the basmati rice had a delicate hint of a fragrant spice. We also had the tender and savory lamb kabob and the chicken shawarma wrap. No leftovers for us! The restaurant interior is beautiful and thoughtfully designed. Terrific food! It's been a long time since I've eaten Shawarma (since moving from SF Bay Area), and was very happy to have tried Khalo Naser. We had a large party of ~12 people and the staff was very helpful walking through the menu, and making excellent recommendations. We just discovered this wonderful restaurant in downtown Corvallis, owned by a friendly Syrian family who offer a very wide range of choices, including 20 appetizer plates alone. The hummus with lamb, baba ghanoush (roasted eggplant), or falafel is filling for two, all on their own. Add lamb or chicken kebabs and Syrian bread for a feast. With three pages of choices (and photos of each), it's going to take quite a few visits to do this place justice. A warm, rustic, two-story high dining room, with a bar and fireplace, makes it a very welcoming setting. Now that the Evergreen Cafe no longer offers its Indian lunch buffet, this will be our usual stopping place on the way to the coast. read more

We heard great things about this restaurant and finally tried it out. The food was fantastic! There was a wait for our food (about 40 minutes). Based on other reviews we were prepared for the wait and didn't think was a big deal. We got water, menus and drinks pretty quickly. The stranger thing was that my husband's dish came out 10-15 minutes before mine and he was done by the time I got my dinner. The decor and ambiance is great. Recommended here by a family friend. The food is absolutely incredible. We went at a pretty slow time but the service was slightly lacking. Everyone was very nice but they didn't refill waters or bring us plates and napkins for our appetizers.
