From the second we walked in, we were greeted and seated in less than a minute, which was such a surprise on a Saturday evening. Our waitress, Rose, was SUPER attentive throughout our entire dinner and gave us some amazing food and drink recommendations. The food somehow got better and better with every dish that came to the table! We ordered two starters and two entrées, and everything was delicious. I was in New York for an event and my friend that lives there said let's try this place that I saw on Tik Tok. I said say less. We called to see if they had availability and the lady told us we had to make a reservation. We did. When it was close to the time we made our way that way. They had a great selection of lunch specials with small appetizers and entree. I opted for my Thai go to, green curry and it was amazing. I took my mother here for Mother's Day and I am extremely impressed with the decor! Flowers everywhere and beautiful plating and seating. An absolute gem for girls brunch or to bring your mother! We came last minute on Mother's Day and they were able to accommodate us within 10 minutes since they opened. Even though they needed the table back a certain time they didn't rush us at all! We ordered a few things: mango avocado salad and chive pancake to start, sea bass with sweet and sour sauce (this comes with purple yam rice and regular rice!), garlic udon with hanger steak, and the crab fried rice. I definitely enjoyed the appetizers more than the mains as the chive pancake was so yummy and the sauce that comes with it complements it very well, the mango avocado salad is phenomenal and includes fish sauce in the dressing making it super savory and tangy. I thought the garlic udon was too sweet for my liking but if you're into it definitely get this one. I just wish the steak was thicker and less cooked as it was super well done. The seared sea bass was yummy and I enjoyed the sauce but I didn't really need it as the more you add the sweeter and sour it gets and I'm just pretty simple and don't need much sauce. The crab fried rice was definitely the main hit as I couldn't stop eating it but it made me so full I was about to food coma right then and there. The crab is just so fresh and the flavors are just right with some of the spicy sauce! This place came highly recommended so we gave it a try before we headed off to the fireworks viewing nearby and if the line by the time we left was any indication, you'd think they were running out of Thai food lol. We ordered a myriad of apps and entrees including Curry puffs, Shrimp Donuts,and Thai Dumplings, Panang Curry with Chicken, Khao Soi Chicken, Crab Fried Rice, Red Curry with Duck, Pad Thai and Tom Kha. The apps were all standardly good, my personal favorite was probably the shrimp donuts because of their slight bouncy texture and crunch but you really can't go wrong with any of them. Panang Curry with Chicken- thick and sweet with some spice behind the first bite. The curry is good but the chicken's just kind of an afterthought. Wish they did more than just boil it and then add it in. Khao Soi Chicken- the noodles just soak up all that curry goodness and the chicken here is much more tender and juicy. Very good dish. Crab Fried Rice- a solid fried rice with a good amount of crab on top. I think a lot of places could lean in on the grimy earthiness of the crab if they choose to but a preparation in this way is still good. Red Curry with Duck- a little sweeter curry with a hint of cinnamon. I think the duck breast was a little dry though. Pad Thai- no notes, just a good Pad Thai! Tom Kha- actually never had this before but I love the spice level with the herbal undertones, like drinking a rich, spiced, chicken soup. All in all I was pretty pleasantly happy with all the food. There are a couple things I think that come down to personal taste preference though, which for me was the cook of the vegetables. Personally ,I love stewed vegetables that are soft and have absorbed ALL the flavors of whatever it's been steeping in, whether it's soup, stews, or curry. Here, a lot of it is moreso parboiled/steamed separately so a lot of vegetables keep their crunch. I'm guessing it's to add texture to the dish but I think it's kind of just bland really. You have all this liquid gold (curry) and these vegetables that barely cling to it and just taste frankly speaking, like boiled vegetables. I would have loved to sink my flavor into a stewed carrot that was earthy, sweet, and absorbed all the flavors of the curry it was sitting in but alas, it wasn't so. And that same thing applied to the eggplant, zucchini, and peppers. Again, I think that just comes down to preference, but I think it's kind of a missed opportunity for the dish to be a lot more flavorful. Speaking to the ambiance and service, the space was nice albeit a little tight, and our server did kind of rush us a bit too much because they knew they had a line. As in, they mentioned they were busy and had a line TEN minutes after we sat down so we should definitely hurry up lol. Overall though, I did enjoy the experience, and I would be back for either the lunch or dinner special. Maybe I'd come during a less busy time or at the start of service for a more pleasant and relaxed experience but I reckon I will be back haha. read more

We came here yesterday after not being served at Xisan de Classic and I'm so glad we did. We arrived around 8:30 on a Saturday without a reservation. They were very nice and put us on the waitlist with a 30 minute wait. We headed over to Van Leeuwen for a pre-dinner treat and to wait somewhere dry. Exactly at the 30 minute mark I got the text to head over and we did. We sat down and it took a few minutes for someone to take our order but once they did everything moved very quickly. I ordered the lychee sangria and my husband ordered the thai lime tea and the purple lemonade. All of the drinks were excellent and they were kind enough to give me extra flamingo straws to bring to my kids when I said they'd enjoy them. As for food we started with the chive pancakes and the moo ping. Both were amazing, but I especially loved the chive pancakes. The sticky rice that came with the moo ping was very good. For Entrees my husband ordered the duck red curry and I ordered the garlic beef udon noodles. My husband curry was delicious! And I loved my noodles until I tasted cilantro and I couldn't enjoy it any longer but that was my fault for not asking about it in the first place. I highly recommend coming here. Decided to check this place out on a public holiday and did not make a reservation and we were lucky enough to get a spot! - Lychee Fizz - I think this drink had a lot of potential but it unfortunately fell short as the drink itself seemed a bit watered down, maybe it was the ice cubes? But also I wish it was a bit more carbonated. - Thai Iced Tea - This was probably the best Thai Iced Tea that I've had in the city. The Thai tea flavor was extremely rich and I loved the sweetness level as well. If I wasn't so sensitive to caffeine at night, I would probably order more of this. - Green Papaya Salad - This was definitely the best thing food-wise that night. The salad itself was incredibly crispy and I really liked the slightly sweet vinagrette that paired so well with the rest of the dish. - Garlic Udon Hanger Beef - I was not really a big fan of this dish. You couldn't really taste the garlic flavors and there was not that much beef. The sauce also seemed to be thickened with cornstarch. - KAENG PHED PED YANG (Duck Breast) - I was really looking forward to this dish but I was a bit disappointed. The curry didn't have a ton of flavor and was a bit runny. There also wasn't that much duck, and when there was the duck skin was not crispy and the meat was a bit dry. I did really appreciate how many vegetables they put in the dish as well as blue coconut rice was such a pretty color, it made me want to put some sort of natural food dye into all my rice from now on. I frequent this Thai restaurant on occasion and order via online for pick up. All of the items ordered have always been delicious and with abundance of food. The staff is very attentive and accommodating, providing small table and water or beverage while waiting for the food. I usually visit their bathroom and on my last visit noticed they added an extra restroom to accommodate for the customers visiting during peak hours. The decor and even the exterior of the restaurant is covered in florals and hunter green - super welcoming and aesthetic at the same time. The drink menu is extensive, and includes soft drinks, specialty drinks as well as cocktails and mock tails ranging from $10-18. I got the classic Thai iced tea - very tea forward and still quite sweet despite requesting less sweet FYI! My friend enjoyed the honey yuzu lemonade a lot. My favorites were the spaghetti soft shell crab. The pasta was al dente and well spiced. I'd definitely get this again and beware of the pepper pieces within the pasta! They can be quite spicy.
