The amburger tasted great, well seasoned meat and generally just tasty. The hummus was really good and a pretty huge portion size. The pita that came with all of these was sooo soft and fluffy. Some of the best pita bread we've had. My only and biggest complaint was the schnitzel plate. While the schnitzel was good (my husband says great) it was definitely NOT worth $26. The size of the chicken was pretty small, I would have gotten more if I had ordered 2 kids chicken schnitzels and it would have only cost me $20. The service here was friendly, but the menu and pricing are disappointing. I was put off to find out they were out of hummus the day I visited. Worse, hummus isn't included in any other menu items--your only option is a $19 standalone plate. If you promote your hummus as "the best" and charge that much, you should want everyone to taste it.Instead, I ordered the falafel burger, which comes with or without sour cream. I've never had sour cream on falafel, so I gave it a shot, but omitting hummus entirely feels like an odd choice. The falafel itself was tasty, the green sauce was excellent, and the pickle was a great surprise. However, the sour cream really did not work. I wouldn't have finished it, but I forced myself to since the sandwich and a lemonade cost me $30. Sadly, this won't be my new go-to falafel spot. read more

We came by for lunch here, it's a small location on 3rd street by some shops. Street parking. They have lots of tables inside and a couple tables out front too. They're known for having a tomato on all their tables. We asked what the favorites / best things are and they said the ribeye steak and chicken schnitzel pita so we ordered those two. The guy also asked if we want to try their cauliflower as an appetizer and said it's what they're known for, and it's a must get. We had to order it after that glowing recommendation. Honestly when the cauliflower came out we were confused. I guess it's cool because you get an entire head of cauliflower but besides that, there's really nothing special about it. It isn't seasoned, or if it is, we couldn't tell, though it did come with a dipping sauce. It was okay but I definitely wouldn't say this is a "must get" item and we were pretty disappointed that they clearly upsold us on it. Next, the pitas. We're used to having Mediterranean food all the time and that typically means big portions with lots of sides and lots of hummus. Well, there's no hummus. And the pita sandwiches are minuscule. Especially for the prices. The ribeye steak ($21) was certainly better than the schnitzel ($19). The schnitzel was dry and pretty bland overall. We actually didn't like that one. The steak was better in flavor and it was okay but we'd prefer to go to pretty much any other Mediterranean spot. Highly overpriced for what you get. We were pretty disappointed overall. read more

After visiting LACMA we were looking for a place for dinner. Yelp was our guide and we're so happy to experience the wonderful food. Value for money is lacking but it's pretty tasty. I would recommend the pitas over the plate as the plate is just a deconstructed pita with an extra piece of meat. Miznon is easily my new favorite fast-casual chain. I first heard about them in Vegas, and then later found out they had opened at Grand Central Market in Los Angeles. Ever since I finally tried them last year, I've been a fan. Everything here is fantastic! The food is always high quality, fresh, and just feels clean in a way that really stands out. Nothing I've had here has disappointed me. At this point, I've tried almost all of their pita sandwiches except for the candy steak, and everything has been excellent. My personal favorites so far are the lamb kebab and the chicken schnitzel pita. I'm also a big fan of their falafel, and the cauliflower is absolutely to die for. I honestly didn't expect to love it as much as I do, but now it's one of my favorite things on the menu. I also want to give a special shoutout to Eden, who took great care of me and made me feel very welcome at this new location. He was warm, kind, and hospitable, and he really reinforced why I enjoy coming to Miznon so much. Food was delicious!! They have a large and small size of the green beans but the small is still plenty . I loved the lemon and garlic added to the green beans as well as the roasted cauliflower which melts in your mouth. So many healthier sides to choose from compared to other restaurants serving fries. Having visited Mizon's Las Vegas location several times and thoroughly enjoyed it, I was pleased to find the Los Angeles restaurant delivers the same high standard. The food quality was every bit as impressive as I remembered, with fresh ingredients, excellent execution, and plenty of flavor. An update to my review: Miznon reached out to me about my experience per my review and I had a kind and generous email exchange with the branch manager, Rachel. First, Rachel refunded me the full meal cost of the prior visit. She then invited me to come to Miznon for a free meal for me and a friend, on them. I took her up on the suggestion. Our second experience was much better than the first. The service was kind, and respectful. Our dishes were mostly excellent. On top of our order, they further provided us a free green beans dish and batata (sweet potatoes). The green beans are particularly good and highly recommended. I attach pictures of some of the dishes below. In particular, we ordered the same salad and hummus plate as in our first visit, and the dishes were much better. The salad, see picture, was of decent size, beautifully presented, and seasoned very well. The hummus plate this time was much more generous, and delicious. Our pita sandwiches, chicken and cauliflower, were good, though I do still feel they need more salad and hummus or tahini in their pita sandwiches. They are somewhat one dimensional and small for the price. All in all, Miznon (and in particular I want to thank Rachel) went out of their way to fix the first experience, was kind, generous, and the food was excellent. This is a wonderful establishment for Mediterranean food, though it's somewhat expensive. We do expect to return. After hearing about this place online I was very excited to come here and check it out. Whenever I dine at a fast-food place, I really enjoy ordering from a kiosk. Ordering from a kiosk is always more convenient and easier. Not here though. I was warmly greeted and told to order on the kiosk. First the beers weren't listed on the menu let alone the cocktails. I had no idea they offered a full bar nor the beers available. After a couple of attempts I was finally helped at the register, which made a huge difference. The food was delivered very promptly at the table I sat at. I ordered the burger in the pita which was very tasty and a very good portion. I had an Israeli beer which was unique to me and very tasty. The pita was definitely a highlight for me. The person working the front was very friendly and went above and beyond for me which I appreciated. A friend has been going there for a while and recommended the rib eye sandwich. Don't know why by the name I didn't recognize that it was a Persian Middle Eastern restaurant. I can make the same hummus at home without getting a "we don't do this here!" for asking for a quarter onion instead of their pita. If you're sleeping on Miznon, wake up -- especially for the green beans. We first fell in love with Miznon at Chelsea Market, so we were beyond excited when it opened in LA. Since then, we've been three times... and counting. It's officially in our regular rotation. Food-wise, everything hits. The brisket in a bag is a must, the pita is perfectly fluffy, and the hummus is so good you'll want it on everything. Bonus: even our kids are into it, which says a lot. Was in the area for an appointment and had to come by to try Miznon. I went on a Saturday and it actually wasn't busy at all but maybe because it was an odd hour at 4pm. Parking was all street parking but that was also not hard to find either. The staff are super friendly and I think it was the store manager who gave me recommendations when I was waiting in line. I should've listened to him and got the out-of-pita option, but I really wanted to try the in pita option lol nothing wrong with the in pita option, just that when I got the candy steak, the brisket was HUGE LOL I don't know what I was expecting, but I ended up having the shred the brisket so it was a little less messy for myself. It was cooked so perfectly. So easy to shred, so hot and fresh and succulent! If you're a pickle fan, they definitely are not stingy on the pickles. And the sauce was delicious as well.
