The worst restaurant I've ever tried . Food 0 and service very rude . Me and my friend couldn't eat nothing

As s Russian, I always love it when I find somewhere super authentic that reminds me of home! We got the khachapuri, khinkali, chicken skewers, satsivi and blinchiki. Everything was delicious. Khinkali are Georgian soup dumplings- you can get them filled with either cheese or beef. You can also choose to get them deep fried (a definite must!) These are amazing with sour cream. Khachapuri is Georgian cheese bread. Very rich and filling! Blinchiki are Russian crepes that are a bit more crispy that traditional crepes. We got them when mushrooms and they're so tasty! Satsivi is Georgian chicken with walnuts and garlic. This was probably my least favorite. read more

It was a delicious place with great service. I loved the salmon skewer and this Khinkali was the best I've had ever since I moved.

The vibe here is so weird. 10 open tablets and hostess told us they would clean the one dirty table and we could sit there. Hostess is not wearing a mask and half the staff are not too. Come here if you want dumplings with a side of Omicron. Needless to say we left before we were seated. read more

I ate here yesterday and I'm literally still thinking of the khinkali I ordered... they were soooo good! My two friends and I stopped by for a quick bite in between commitments we had in the area. We ordered the khachapuri to share and each ordered one of each khinkali, boiled-although I don't eat meat, so I only ordered the mushroom and the georgian cheese. The menu notes which dishes are vegetarian, but doesn't say if they are vegan, so vegans should ask for more details when ordering. We were served a bowl of chickpeas while we waited, which were nice to snack on. The khachapuri was honestly a little smaller than I thought it would be, given the pictures other reviewers have posted, but it was actually just the right amount for the three of us, since the cheesiness can get heavy. Our server was very kind and definitely noted how long it was taking for our khinkali to come, since they came over and updated us on the status of our order at one point. However, we did end up waiting an hour for them, and ended up having to take them to go, since the time of our next commitment had come. Our server was very apologetic, though, and definitely rushed to pack our food for us when we mentioned we had to leave. Once we got the chance to eat our khinkali, we were all blown away! Both the cheese and the mushroom ones were delicious, and I love dough so I was very satisfied with the outside of the khinkali, as well. I think that, as I mentioned before, the cheese can get a little heavy. Because of that, just one was enough, but I could eat many many more mushrooms ones, for sure. I definitely want to return and try other items on the menu in addition to revisiting the mushroom khinkali! The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the wait time. Service is slow and the waiter disappeared on me. Had to flag down multiple other staff members before someone else closed my tab. The dumplings themselves were okay. I'm glad I tried them but definitely prefer the ones further East. read more

I didnt get when people said they'd rather give zero stars until now. Worst experience in dining ever. Will not be returning. Victoria the waitress was awful. She was at the table for the order and the check. That's it. The busier did everything. She charged us for condiments without telling us. We had to go to the bar to get water and ask the busier for everything. At one point I was going to ask the host for help but she went outside on FACETIME and didn't come back. Mask mandate may be gone now but neither the waitress or host cared at the time. At one point Victoria went outside, not to the patio, outside and took a phone call. I called the manager the next week and he said he'd call me back with a resolution. I called again, waiting for a response. It's been a couple months, they took our money, offered the refund and NEVER did it. Btw, the food was subpar. The portion sizes were terrible and the mushroom khinkali (dumpling) was gross. 0 management! We got a reservation, 7 people ordered a lot of food, after 1 hour wait almost half of the food came out wrong! It was impossible to get a hold of the server! After showing the food to server he admitted that the food was wrong and no exchange or discount! Said we could wait another hour to get a new plate but that didnt even make any sense! He included $70 tip for himself, and since the tip was included in the bill i guess he didnt care much if we would get a good service or bad since we would have to tip regardless! Very disappointed! If you're a fan of Chinese dumplings this Georgian dumpling place is going to make you happy. They have these amazing soup dumplings that are loaded with juice and full of zesty flavor. They also have the fried dumplings that someone still manage to be juicy inside as well. When I first saw that they had cheese dumplings, I was thinking mozzarella sticks inside a wonton wrapper...I was wrong! The cheese is so warm, gooey, and cheesy and it stays so flavorful from one one bite to the next. Everything on the menu we had was great. From the appetizers to the dessert, you will not be disappointed. Order soup and the another fried dumpling so you get to experience both. There is ample parking in the garage and plenty of seating inside. It's casual enough to go with friends but nice enough if you wanted to make it a date night. They had live music when we went and the staff was attentive and helpful. Can't wait to return! read more

I was here on a Sunday afternoon, before a matinee at the Antaeus Theater Company. I was one of two tables; by the time I left I was one of three, maybe. The server was friendly and engaged; the busboy was very on top of things. I'm saying this because it was clearly a listless, between-seatings time at this place, and they might have been more checked out but they weren't. And the food was delicious: what I hoped for and more. I like Armenian food a lot but have mostly had it bakeries -- getting a cheese bread or some variant on the go. It was very nice to make a sit down meal of it. I had mushroom khinkali (the signature dumplings) -- it was very tasty; the ratio of filling:dumpling could have been higher for my taste, but it felt to me like this was a preference question and _not_ like 'oh they skimped on the filling'. I had the khachapuri, the cheesy bread, which was _delicious_; I'd say a must-have. I had the grilled chicken hearts, which was a very nice plate of deliciously springy, chewy grilled chicken hearts (if you like that stuff. I do.) served on bread with some potatoes and a tasty dipping sauce. They serve rusks of bread and chick peas at the start, which are filling. I'd definitely like to come back here to have more -- it was a nice place to sit and eat some delicious food. read more

Service was almost non existent and the food was not good. If you are looking for soviet era food that can only be made with meeker rations which has no flavour or spice then try this place. The boiled dumplings were water logged and had zero flavour (we tried the beef ones, and the mushroom filled ones, Mushroom was I inedible) . The only thing that tasted good was the khatchpouri appetiser. The rest was horrible. After all was said and done, we got the bill for about $250. We won't eat here again. read more

I had never had Georgian food before last night and I can safely say I LOVE IT. I've been wanting to try Khinkali House for a long time because it has been on a few must-try restaurants lists in Glendale (The Infatuation has a great list of places to go in Glendale) - and a few friends have gone and recommended it. It lived up to the hype and more! Everything we had was delicious. We got the khachapuri which was insanely good, the beef Khinkalis were incredibly juicy and savory - the cheese was delightful but the mushroom might have been our favorite. We got the chicken wing and lamb chop skewers - i wish we got more because our table of four devoured them. Perfectly grilled and seasoned. A huge bonus to our dining experience was our lovely server Nane. She was so sweet and helpful! She didn't make us feel silly for not pronouncing things right, or not knowing how to eat the Khinkali (with your hands! Smart!). She guided us through the things to eat and she did not steer us wrong. We had such a fun time chatting with her I have to say that's half of why our dinner was so special. I cannot wait to come back and bring more friends. I'm already craving khachapuri!!! read more

We started with cucumber and tomato salad and dolma which was a perfect starter., then we had the mashroom Khinkali, cheese and beef which tasted very good! Yummy Georgian dumplings. Wish the two top tables were bigger though and the music was a little weird. Could use more authentic music to make the place seem more charming. It's more of a casual environment to get lunch or family dinner. I did not like the desserts. We had the honey cake and chocolate wafer cake. They both tasted too dry for my palette. Where should I begin??? This place is amazing!!!! Although I never had dumplings before my daughter dragged me down here to try something new. I tried the beef dumplings and I must say they were fabulous. The texture wasn't what I expected but over all great. Perfectly seasoned. The customer service was outstanding, we sat outside only because I have been indoors all day and I just wanted to be outside. My daughter and I was checked on and they made sure we were taken care of. Did I mention the music!, I listen to old school R&B from the 60's 70's and 80's. Was craving some Georgian Dumplings and my Armenian buddy took me here. We started with a bottle of wine & their pickled vegi platter, was a nice start. Then we tried both the beef & mushroom dumplings boiled which were wonderful. On top of that we split one beef kebab which was to dry & chewy, we know to stick with the dumplings. For our final dish we split the Pilmeni which are like tiny boiled raviolis, very good too. I would dine here again in the future. read more

I have dined at Khinkali House three times! It's a "go-to" restaurant for me. Service, quality and price are fantastic. Must orders for me are the Mediterranean salad (large enough to share for two to four people), steamed khinkali dumplings and fried cheese dumplings! As of now this restaurant is not on Open Table, so making reservations requires a phone call. Large private dining room in back of restaurant for events is available. Large covered patio is a nice option when weather isn't too cold. read more

I'm still mourning the loss of Old Village in Glendale, which, while maintaining very strange service, had excellent khinkali (and everything else). Earlier in the year I traveled to Georgia, and was incredibly impressed with the food there, so I've been on a mission to see what LA can provide as far as replication. Usually it does pretty well with most international cuisines - after all, that's why I choose to live here and suffer the traffic and crowds! So I know good Georgian food is around here somewhere. Unfortunately, it isn't here. None of what we had was gross, it just was put together carelessly. The three khinkali (beef, mushroom, and cheese) were slopped onto a plate, knots akimbo, and by the flat way the first two sagged, you could tell there wasn't going to be much filling. While the beef one provided a respectable amount of broth spray and a great flavor, none of them had more than two bites worth of stuffing. I enjoyed how the cheese one was fried, but again, whither the cheese? The blinchik (walnut and beef) came, austerely, on a plate with absolutely no accompaniment. They had clearly been reheated, as the middle was cold and the edges were hot. Finally, the sturgeon skewer. While it was a respectable amount of fish, especially for the price for a very pricey fish, it was kind of tacky (texture-wise) and sitting on one leaf of iceberg and adorned with exactly four pomegranate seeds (plus the dipping sauce). By the end of the meal I was jonesing for vegetables, and was glad for the weird bowl of cold flavorless garbanzo beans they serve as a table starter. That kind of vegetable-jonesing is par for the course in Russia, but not Georgia, which will shower you with vegetables at every turn. read more

I went with a large group for lunch. I personally enjoyed the food however it was not a good place to go with coworkers for lunch. Do not go with picky eaters or people with dietary restrictions. To get what I consider a balanced meal, (meat, carbs, and veggies), you would have to be willing to eat family style because everything is ala carte. Half of my group of 8 (including myself) was willing to do family style so we enjoyed our meal. For $20 per person, we were able to try the Khinkali, Russian ravioli and two skewers and ended up stuffed. The people who didn't want to eat the dumplings with us family style ordered skewers and bread individually for themselves. They all ended up pretty unhappy. Despite not wanting to eat family style, all of the skewers came out presented that way anyways. At $10+ skewer, a skewer lunch is not economical or balanced. I would order at least 2 skewers to be satisfied and any veggies or carbs that the skewers come with are more of a garnish. As happy as I was with my meal, I consider it fairly pricy. I think $20 for dinner is fine but expensive for lunch. I think the business would do better if they offered more lunch specials. The only lunch special was a piece of chicken, Greek salad, and fries for $15. It would have been great if the chicken could be substituted with 2 Khinkali or a skewer. read more

OMG, I love this place. Parking is public parking and I parked nearby. Service was excellent. The restaurant was immaculately clean. I sat at the patio and it was all to myself. I ordered six steamed Khinkali, 2 beef, 2 Cheese, & 1 mushroom. The portion was huge. I couldn't finish eating. My favorite was the mushroom Khinkali. I also ordered the yogurt drink and it was yummy. Price is reasonable. I loved everything about this restaurant. And the server was very charming. Two thumbs up. read more

Loved the fried and boiled beef khinkali. Our server was very patient and helpful with our order. The meat was fresh as well an very tender. However, the skewer portions were very small in my opinion. The alcoholic beverages were great, the mixologist definitely know what they are doing. We had the strawberry mojito and summer breeze. Most people in the US have not had Georgian food, so it's always fun to introduce something new. When we dined there a few years ago, the gracious server suggested that the tops are used as handles and usually are not eaten, which makes sense. read more

They charge separately for sour cream. I'm going to zankou. I'll eat khenkali another time. Don't mind paying extra for good service and food, but insolence is something I don't support. That's like a burger place saying ketchup is a salad that you need to buy separately read more
