One of the best Persian restaurant experiences I've had in LA. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, respectful, and professional. Their hospitality really made the whole experience even better. The koobideh kebab was absolutely great -- perfectly seasoned, juicy, and cooked to perfection. The dizi was also fantastic, full of flavor and tasted just like authentic homemade Persian food. Great food, excellent service, and genuinely wonderful staff. My friend orders from this restaurant all the time and kept recommending the koobideh--which I love--so I finally had to try it for myself. The service was warm, kind, and attentive. We were seated right away and ordered the chicken kabob, beef koobideh, and ghormeh sabzi. The beef koobideh ended up being my favorite, although the chicken kabob was just as delicious. And the bread... wow. Honestly some of the tastiest bread I've ever had from any kabob spot. We took some leftovers to go, and the smell of that bread lingering in my car was absolutely delightful. Parking in that area of Glendale can be tricky, but Nersses has a small lot, and there's usually street parking close by. My Persian friend told me about this restaurant and couldn't stop raving about it. I finally tried it, and he was right! This restaurant serves some delicious and amazing food! For appetizers we had the yogurt and cucumber dip and the eggplant dip. $9 each and it was served with bread, butter, raw onions, and basil. Delightful! My table mate and I wanted the lamb chops, boneless chicken, and luleh kabob (ground beef). The waiter created a dish with these three offerings. All three meats were absolutely delicious! My toes curled it was so good! I orders the yogurt drink with gas. Refreshing. Excellent food here. Plate of raw onion and basil set out first. Our Soltani Kabob and Luleh Kabob plates were enormous. We probably should've just split one. They were both delicious. Meats were tender and flavorful. Rice was awesome. The fresh bread was warm, and great. Service was good. The restaurant is in a 3 store corner mall, so the parking is really tight (lot is shared by a liquor store, a pizza place, a bar, and the restaurant). The inside is fairly basic but nice old photographs on the wall. Highly recommend. read more

They have the best koobideh and Soltani around, but I can't say the same about the rest of the menu. The food outside of those dishes is just average. Unfortunately, the service and customer service aren't very friendly, and they're not willing to accommodate even simple changes, even for large orders. That said, I'm still giving them 5 stars because it's so hard to find truly delicious koobideh these days, and theirs is outstanding. read more

I liked that they gave a lemon to squeeze on my chicken kabob too- made it extra tasty. It's a small, cozy spot in Glendale. Good place to go without any fuss. The food was amazing. Ikra and most mosir both were great. The Ikra has kinda of nice spice kick to it. The meat tasted extremly juicy. I recommend extra rice on the side if you get anything family style. Also the Kashik Bademjan was extremly well cooked. The service was also fast and easy. Hubby picked this place on our way to LA. It's a very small establishment in a very small corner "mall". Luckily, we got the last parking spot on the lot. There was only one table occupied when we walked in around 7pm on a Wednesday. Waiter is friendly and gives us a run down on all the kabobs. Hubby ordered the soup (Dizi) and three kabobs entrees for the 4 of us. They put the kabobs in the middle on a pizza stand. Then, they brought three plates of basmati rice. We then realized they put all three entrees onto one plate. It's shocking to see how small is the serving size of all three combined entrees. For a mom and pop shop setting, they are charging the nice restaurant pricing. Aside from the serving size and pricing, I would say the food does taste pretty good. It's similar to Shalizaar in Belmont, CA that is close to our home. I could only give it three stars as the food, serving size, and ambience do not equate to its high price. There were very peculiar things that happened, ordering was very suggestive, three of the items we wanted, we were told not to order! Can't figure that one out, while other tables were ordering the same things! The appetizer required their freshly made bread, but none was brought, only after we asked multiple times. Then they only brought one for a table of four! Other tables were being served baskets full of bread. Long story short, this place is not the real surprise we expected, but rather a place to avoid!
