I made an appointment online for 2:00pm on a Tuesday. When I got there, I learned that they were a bit backed up and it would take between 1.5 and 2 hours. I understand how things like that can happen, but I didn't want to wait that long so I asked when might be a better time, and they said at 8:00am I'd most likely be at the front of the line, so I arranged to be there the following morning. Sure enough, the alignment only took about 30 mins. Tony gave me a printout of the measurements before and after for my car so I could see exactly what had been done in terms of camber, caster, toe, etc. for each wheel. Paul helped me replace my Lexus wheel that was bent from a pothole with a quality reconditioned OEM replacement. I searched nationwide for my wheel online, and they were super hard to find and very expensive!!! Wheels America beat everyone's price and wasn't that far from me in Buena Park, so I decided to drive 1 1/2 hours each way to pick it up. I didn't expect it, but they even dismounted, mount & balanced my existing tire, and changed out the tire pressure sensor for a very reasonable $20. I was in & out of the shop within 30 minutes! But I actually bought it for my EV since electric cars are nail magnets, and I'm already at the break-even point after just one claim. There was no high-pressure upselling at all. They thoroughly explained every cost detail, and when I brought in a competitor's online quote, they matched the out-of-the-door price with zero hassle. The waiting lobby is actually nice to sit in, too. Plenty of space, workstations, free Wi-Fi, coffee, and water. Plus, the location is easy to get to right off the freeway. Service is fast, especially compared to Costco where you basically have to leave your car for the entire day. You also get free rotations and flat fixes. They have a sign on the wall from the founder, Bruce T. Halle, about being honest, working hard, and paying it forward. The employee told me there was a nail in the tire, repaired it, and assured me it was fixed and that I wouldn't have any more problems. Exactly one week later, my tire was low again. They repaired the tire while I watched and showed me that Salina's had only inserted a plug where the nail was instead of performing a proper repair. I was shocked. I trusted them to fix my tire correctly, but instead they sent me back on the road with a temporary fix while telling me everything was fine. This isn't just poor workmanship, it's a serious safety issue. When you take your car to a repair shop, you expect honesty and quality work, not shortcuts that could put you and your family at risk. However, I decided to give him a chance and wait to see if maybe he's a few minutes late. When he doesn't appear by 10:30 I call, no answer. I call again at 10:45, once again no answer. At 11:15 I give up and head home. At 12:15 he finally calls back because he just got to the garage and tells me I can come back. I let him know I'm already on my way home and to far to come back. This is a classic example of a great idea run by someone who is to lazy to actually run a business.
