I was skeptical at first, going to a large chain like this for the first time, expecting to be treated more like a number but was so pleasantly surprised to be greeted and treated warmly with respect and care. These guys are the best. Special shout out to Luis and Gabriel! As busy as they were (the place was packed when I got there) they gave me their undivided attention when it was my turn, working with my budget to give me all my options/ their best recommendations. Y'all never in my life have I had such a disappointing experience at America's Tire. I've been a loyal customer for over a decade, but this visit completely changed my perception... I've been in customer service for most of my working years and I was baffled. An employee named Gabriel was extremely rude from the moment I walked in. He didn't greet me or acknowledge me, even though it was a slow morning. I stood there for 10 minutes with no "I'll be right with you" or any indication I'd be helped. Even the mechanics in the back were looking at me, confused as to why no one had assisted me. I finally had to approach the counter myself given I was invisible to him and said hello, mentioning I had an appointment. Gabriel didn't make eye contact or greet me just bluntly asked what I was there for. After I explained, he left my keys on the counter and walked away. Something didn't feel right, so I called shortly after leaving to confirm I'd been checked in. I hadn't. On top of that, no one could find my keys...because Gabriel had hidden them. Thankfully, Luis located them and checked me in, but this was now 20 minutes after I had already left the store. When I returned to pick up my car, Gabriel was again the only person at the front. Same behavior, no greeting, no urgency, no help. After waiting another 10+ minutes, I had to go directly to a mechanic/person in the back to get assistance. He helped me immediately. I've been here a few times and haven't had much of an issue. I'm giving them this rating since: 1. Wait times can be very lengthy (hours) even with appointments 2. They changed the caps of my tires from my brand new car for some cheap ugly looking ones vs the original ones that matched the wheels and couldn't be bothered. On the bright side, their tire warranty is 100% worth it! They have been able to fix some of my tires that I doubted could be repaired. I came in because one of my tires kept losing pressure. Other places had told me everything was fine, but it turned out there was a tiny nail in my tire the whole time. As soon as I walked in, I was warmly greeted and checked in by Gabriel. Daniel helped me right away, explained the issue clearly, and told me how it would be fixed. America's Tire removed the nail and took care of everything that was needed. Luis worked on my car and did an excellent job. can't highly praise this shop enough - we've been bringing all of our cars there for the last 10 years and they've always taken prompt and knowledgeable care of us. We've recently had to replace tires on both our truck and Tesla, and Joshua made these experiences actually pleasant. The facility is clean and updated, with a lovely beverage station and many work areas around the lobby to rest and work comfortably. They have many charging ports available too. On 06/24, I visited this location for a regular tire rotation & balance when I was told that the tread depth on my tires were all off. My initial reaction was "how is this possible" because I always get my tires serviced only at America's Tire at the recommended intervals. Even the associates were surprised and didn't really know how to explain to me how this happened. But, knowing that my wife drives my car. I wanted her to be safe and decided to purchase two new tires unexpectedly. I was told that additional discounts/price match from other competitors (despite their lowest price guarantee) did not apply because I was getting a warranty discount on the tires I was replacing and even though I asked the associate if there was anything else he could offer me, he was pretty adamant about the fact that you can't stack discounts, which I later found out from another store manager at the LB location was completely untrue. The car shook pretty badly while driving on the freeway during the same week the 2 "new" tires were installed in the rear. I did a visual inspection of the tires and 1 looked new and the other did not look new. I noticed one tire was made in USA, and the other tire was made in Brazil. I had a chance to visit the store in Long Beach on Tuesday while in the area and told them about the vehicle shaking and they were able to discover that the wheels were out of balance and provided me with a free rebalance. I made an appointment here after work today in hopes of bringing this to the store manager's attention and to my luck I was able to meet with Mr. Josh Guzman. He gave me a warm greeting from the beginning and introduced himself before giving me his full undivided attention as he listened to my concerns. He thanked me for bringing this to his attention and took care of me from the start to the end in a way that not only blew me away, but far exceeded my expectations. He personally walked over to my vehicle with me to do a visual inspection on the tires and truly understood that I was rubbed the wrong way and did not have a good experience on my last visit. I'm really glad I was able to be assisted by Josh because he truly went out of his way for me today and his level of service is truly remarkable and exceptional! If you want fast efficient service, this is the place! I have purchased tires from Discount Tires/America's Tire for many years and this location really came through when I needed help. I was at an event at the Disneyland Convention Center and literally ran over a nail in the parking lot so that a warning light came on as I was leaving. I carefully drove to this store (after mistakingly going to another "discount" tire place and waiting and figured out the similar name. I came here and told them I needed a flat repair ASAP to drive back to San Diego and they were able to take me right away. They removed the nail, fixed the flat and the error code was reset. I remember driving by this location a number of times while it was going through renovation. Off the bat, their look is very clean, professional, and modern. It looks like a nice establishment. I even liked that if you have an appointment, they have a sign for you when you arrive that makes you feel like VIP. I had to come in early morning due to finding a nail in my tire, so I needed a quick patch. They open at 8am and I arrived around 8:20am. Already, they looked fairly busy. They had a number of people checking-in and I knew I'd have to wait a bit. The whole process was super professional though. They asked questions, checked not only the nail, but the tires as well, told me what would be needed soon, and were honest and not trying to upsell me on anything. I appreciate that very much. Service was great, and went by quicker than estimated. Value was great because a simple repair like that patch was free. Lobby was clean, they have free wifi, and a good number of seats for people to wait on. Good location! My sister visited this location on her own. She's been a loyal customer of America's Tire, but this experience was extremely disappointing. She was initially told they had the tire she needed, but then informed her 6-year coverage had expired--even though she's only had the car for about 6 years. During this process, they also attempted to upsell additional services like wipers and an alignment. After doing our own research, we confirmed the tire was still within the coverage period based on the actual purchase date. Before we could even call back with that information, they contacted us and changed their story--saying they no longer had the tire available and only offered a more expensive option, despite already taking payment. Once we clarified the correct coverage details, they essentially refused to resolve the issue and said they would just put the donut back on the car, resulting in a full day wasted with no solution. Overall, the communication was inconsistent, and the handling of the situation felt unprofessional and frustrating. I have had all our tire service done at this shop for years, including several sets of new tires. I've always appreciated their good service. However, my estimation of them went down considerably this week when they replaced the tires on one of my cars. When I set up the appointment on the phone I did so instead of booking it on line so that I could get their advice on which brand of tires to select. Once I got to the shop, the representative Aaron immediately started upselling--the warranty was an extra $40 per tire, the alignment was another $89, the small spare tire should also be replaced, another $125. Also, the appointment was for 10:30, and I had told them I was working that day when I booked the appointment the previous day. They said it would take less than an hour, but I didn't get out of there until almost 1 pm. I had to wait longer to get results from the alignment check, and I had to ask three times for a receipt. They also told me nothing about the warranty I paid for and didn't give me any paperwork about it or tell me about free tire rotation or mileage. Nothing. I consider these facts, especially as a loyal customer, as very disappointing. The salesperson was not honest with me on the phone about the various additional costs and time, and he was the same one whom I dealt with in person when I got there. It made me question his advice on which tires he sold me. I'm considering dropping this place and finding a more honest one that cares about customer service. The salesman also seemed fake and robotic, which doesn't bother me except that he didn't seem to care about the customer--it was one bad piece of news after another from him. I spent $1,200 in there and was treated like dirt. I would give this place two stars right now, and it used to be five before this latest episode. Update: I have to go back and get the spare tire and alignment. I called to check on the order, and they have no record of the spare tire order, even though Aaron said he placed the order. I went in yesterday to patch a hole in my tire from a large screw that got stuck. The service was prompt, even though there was a line and they were very busy. I forget the employees name, but he did a great job assessing the situation, making sure I knew everything I needed to about my tires (tread depth, dangers of old tires, etc.), made polite small talk as we were walking to and from the shop to my car, and making sure I had everything I needed before we started the service. I ended up extending my tire warranty to my back tires as well for only $30. When I walked back in about 10 minutes before my car was scheduled to be done, a different employee greeted me and kept me updated on my car's status, they even finished a little earlier than expected which was nice. 10/10 would go here again. read more

My experience started out really bad. i had ordered new wheels and tires, and had them mounted here. They installed the wrong color lugnuts, broke a tpms tire pressure sensor, and scratched 2 of the brand new wheels. I found out about the scratches when i got home, and I was pretty frustrated, but when I went back in and talked to the manager Joshua, he took initiative, apologized, ordered new wheels, a factory toyota TPMS, the correct black lug nuts and kept me updated every step of the way. Yes it was a hassle, and mistakes happen, but how Joshua handled it will keep me coming back here as long as he's manager. I wish I could say I had a great experience, as I used to when Jose was the manager. I have been a longtime customer and have always trusted your service. However, my recent visit left me extremely disappointed. I came in due to a slow leak in my tire. The initial technician who inspected my tire was professional and followed protocol by assessing its condition. He checked me in and asked me to wait inside. I then spoke with another employee, handed over my keys, and was told my car would be ready in an hour--great! However, after two hours with no call or text update, I returned to find out that I supposedly needed a new tire. I was told that the nail (or object) had damaged the sidewall, which would eventually lead to an air bubble and cause the tire to pop. This seemed suspicious and the situation felt like an attempt to upsell me rather than provide honest service. To verify, I took my car to another shop, where they easily patched the tire--without any mention of a bruised sidewall or potential failure. This raises serious concerns: either your employees lack proper knowledge, or they were deliberately trying to mislead me for profit. I hope this is not a sign that America's Tire is headed in the direction of companies like Pep Boys, which lost customer trust due to dishonest practices. read more

As soon as I called the issue out to you, the correct AND ONLY action should have been to back the walk-in out and pull my car in. I could tell there was a strong willingness to resolve the issue and take my experience seriously. Looking back, I still think some of the confusion could have been avoided if the internal systems had been more clearly organized from the beginning. That said, I also recognize that not everything goes perfectly, and how a business handles things afterward says a lot. One thing that stood out to me is that this shop has strong pricing compared to others, and they were able to source electric vehicle tires that many other places either didn't carry or couldn't quote reasonably. That's a real strength. With just a bit more focus on customer communication, I believe they have the potential to grow into a truly outstanding local business with great synergy between service and value. Got a huge screw on my tire as I left work, had to go somewhere nearby to patch to go home. Came by here and it was really full, 20 min till closing, and still serviced with me and helped me out. The ETA wait time was a long time, but waited patiently. Plenty of seating in their waiting room. They finished the job much sooner than anticipated, I was explained what they found and did, once he explained everything, I asked how much I owed, let me know their business model here is to do tire patches for no charge ! This was my second time at America's Tire/Discount Tire, and my appointment only took half an hour. They were a lot faster than their expected end time, which was an hour. This location is convenient because there's plenty of space to maneuver your car. Overall, the process went smooth. I purchased my tires online and was able to reschedule easily. They do ask you to confirm via text and even called me the day before to double-check the time. They let you follow the journey online, and you'll receive a text once your car is ready. Since I had a flat tire and a certificate that I purchased from them, they did honor that and repaired it. I believe Christopher was the employee that checked me in and printed out my receipt, and I don't know the names of the two workers that helped me out at the very end, but they were all very approachable and helpful. I appreciate the fact that they took the time to answer all of my questions and concerns. I also considered Walmart (a former employee told me not to) and Costco (their parking lot is mania), but in the end, I'd rather support a business like this that accommodates their customers over a dealership. He was friendly, fast, efficient and explained everything to me. I have always gone to America's Tire for all my tire needs (I have the cert on all my tires).
