Absolute worst customer service experience of my life. To start with, they sent me the wrong wheel, and then were smug and arrogant about explaining the return process. So I was responsible for repackaging the 30 lb wheel (at my expense) and hauling it down to a shipper to return it, all because of THEIR error. Needless to say I was not happy, and should have done more research before doing business with this company. All those 1-star Yelp reviews make perfect sense in hindsight. My experience with Wheels America in Buena Park was fantastic! Paul was super helpful. Paul helped me replace my Lexus wheel that was bent from a pothole with a quality reconditioned OEM replacement. I searched nationwide for my wheel online, and they were super hard to find and very expensive!!! Wheels America beat everyone's price and wasn't that far from me in Buena Park, so I decided to drive 1 1/2 hours each way to pick it up. I didn't expect it, but they even dismounted, mount & balanced my existing tire, and changed out the tire pressure sensor for a very reasonable $20. I was in & out of the shop within 30 minutes! I would have probably waited hours at a tire shop, which saved me valuable time. I'm very appreciative of Paul & Wheel America's customer service, which is why I am writing this. Not a good place to take your wheels for Powdercoating. overpriced, poor quality, bad customer service. All the guys that answer phones have an attitude. They don't powder coat the whole wheel they mask off the back. The only thing they got going for them is speed if you need something fast. They do mess up a lot and don't expect they stand up for their mistake. Overall just a poor business model and a team that doesn't put customer first. There are a lot of business out there that deserve better service especially for the price they are charging. read more

Where do I begin with this place.... my first dealing with this place began back in 2012 when I first dropped off my 22" Iforged 3-piece wheels for my Nissan GTR (these wheels cost over 7grand). I brought them in for a simple color change. Because they are a 3 piece design, they mentioned they needed to dissasemble them, re-powder coat them, and then reassemble them again. I got them back (the first time) with a poor powdercoating job (imperfections and bubbles) along with 4 wheels that didn't hold air for longer than 1 day. For the next 2 years, yes that is not a typo, 2 years I dealt with Luis-the store manager at the time. I can't even remember how many times I got these wheels back and they still wouldn't hold air. Luis blamed everyone from his inexperienced crew, to my TPMS sensors, to the actual wheel manufacturer. Sometimes I would get my wheels back with chips on them. Long story short I got close to calling a lawyer and beginning legal proceedings until I came up with a better idea. Give him the option to pay me cash for these wheels and tires or buy me a new set of wheels and tires. I couldn't believe I of all people had to offer these options after 2 years! On top of all of this, Luis was a horrible person when it came to returning calls or helping me with my situation. To top it all off this guy got promoted to the head manager of ALL locations! WTF. I found out about Wheels America, spoke to Gil and Dave and brought the car to them for the work. I brought the car in on a Tuesday and got it back on Wednesday. Did a great job fixing 4 rims that had curb rash and 1 was bent. But now my TMPS sensor doesn't work on one tire. I've called, spoken to people, and left messages regarding this issue. No one calls back to return my calls/messages. I've been trying to resolve this issue for over 3 months. It's a shame that they are letting their customer service ruin an excellent product that they made. I highly recommend them for fixing your rims. I'm going to save the headaches and fix it myself. Awesome super friendly place, superb customer service. I discovered this particular shop while watching Wheeler Dealer show on TV (Season 23 Episode 4 - BMW Z3 M). Check it out, you will see exactly what is involved when getting your wheels refinished / powder-coated. I called the shop, spoke with Matt, he was actually on the show, he is the manager here :-))) Totally got me all excited about the process and great pricing. I was able to just drop off the car and pick it up 24hrs later. I showed up, Paul got me all set, great young man, very accomodating, no gimmicks, no surcharges, no upselling, just the price I was quoted couple months ago was the deal I got, that is so rare these days. I brought my new set of tires, new TPMS sensors and new center wheel caps. I got my all 4 wheels refinished from all the imperfections, and curb rashes and powder coated to an absolute perfection. I don't get why these guys don't have as many reviews as they should. This is the place to go to when you need a car rim repaired. So, long story short, my friend blew out a tire the day before my visit to Wheels America after finding out that they had been driving on a cracked rim for the past month or so. Wheels America was recommended by my friends mechanic as one of the best guys to go to get car rims fixed. First off, hopefully you decided to look up the company on their website/yelp before visiting because I had the unfortunate luck of using their address from the Yellow Pages and ended up at their old location in Santa Fe Springs first. But lucky enough, their new location in Buena Park isn't too far down the freeway. The guys were helpful and know a lot about rim repair. It's nearly next day turn around as the rims are repaired at night. So I dropped the rim off Thursday afternoon and it was ready by Friday morning. They examined the damage of the rim and said that the crack on the inside of rim was tiny and they gave me a reduced price for the job. They showed me other heavily damaged rims in comparison. As for prices they seem pretty reasonable considering that it's their expertise. They've got a board inside that describes all the prices, and it's pretty much straight forward. When the rim was ready for pick up they gave me a call, but didn't leave a message. However, they are very friendly on the phone - so just make sure to call them back to reconfirm if an order is ready for pick up or not. The repair work that they did was great, I could barely tell where the repair was made until the glint of the sun showed a few minor imperfections pointed out by my friend. These guys are hands down the nicest, honest, reliable guys around town. If I ever need another rim repaired - I know where to go. read more

To relate my story quickly so I don't have to relive the nightmare Wheels America has put me through, three of my wheels needed minor repair. Corvette Mike dealership in Anaheim was the middle person, they referred me to Wheels America in Buena Park. The day after I got my wheels back from being allegedly repaired, the light on the dashboard went on indicating "tire low pressure" with one of the tires. In 43 days I drove to Corvette Mike 13 times (29 miles each round trip) to leave or to pick up my car because the tire kept leaking air. One of the trips was with a tow truck, the tire wouldn't fill up with air anymore (Wheels America has not reimbursed $96 cost of the tow yet). I had to rent a car 4 times (there's a $120 charge for one of the rentals Wheels America will not pay for so far), and borrowed my friend's truck 3 times (he works at Corvette Mike), additionally I made 6 trips to a gas station to fill the tire with air before going to my destinations, 5 more trips to fill the tank up for the rentals and my friend's truck. There are no words to measure up to the distress and stress I was going through. Finally on December 4th, 2014, a new wheel was installed, I have had no problems with that tire since. I had replaced the wheels on my car and needed to dispose of my old wheels. The company I bought the replacement wheels didn't have a need for my old wheels and I needed to find someone else to take them off may hands. I found Wheels America on the web and decided to check them out. I sent pictures of the wheels per the instructions on their website. I received an e-mail from them offering to buy them from me. I agreed and they sent me shipping labels for my wheels. I packaged the wheels up in the boxes my replacement wheels were shipped in and brought them to a local UPS site. After Wheels America received the wheels and made sure they could use them, I received a check from them for the wheels. The whole process went smoothly and I was very satisfied with the outcome. read more

This wheel repair shop is by far the worst company I have ever worked with. I have sent them many wheels for repair and gave them son many chances to do better bet they have failed miserably. Recently I had called them on Tuesday morning to have a single wheel get picked up with very minor scratches that needed to be repaired. They told me that the wheel will get picked up on the same day around 1pm in the afternoon. I called them back at 2 pm and they told me that the driver went to a different shop and that shop gave them 12 wheels so he couldn't come to me because he didn't have room for one more wheel. Just to remind you they didn't even call to notify me I had to call and find out myself. The next they on Wednesday I called again to confirm pick up and the time again they told me around 1pm. Obviously that was a lie. I called back and they gave me the most horrible lie ever the truck was broken.. to remind you at this time I am paying out of pocket for my customer because of the lies that received from them. They ended up sending me the same wheel which I was told it would be an even exchange But they ended up cheating me 125 dollars. I am so disappointed with their service and lack of professionalism that if there was -5 reviews for sure I would rate them -5. I took my two front rims to Wheels America to have them repaired from a crack in the inside lip on both rims from hitting a high curb. They took the car in and said they would call me the next day. When they called they were sorry to say that the rims were warped and couldn't be repaired. Even though they couldn't repair them they still had to pull the wheels off the car, take the tires off the rims, and inspect them enough to discover the real problem. Then remount them and put them back on the car so I could get the car home. I was waiting to hear the charges for the labor for all this when they said there would be no charge at all. I ordered 2 wheels on their website, they charged my credit card, I called and they said they were available, they were also listed in ebay for 2 days after I ordered them. The ebay listing was removed, not sold so I called for status several times with no progress and after a week and a half, I called again for status and they told me that these wheels were not available. Dealt with Wheels America due to my mechanic sub-contracting out my rims to repair a curb rash. Overall, WA did a good job repairing and powder coating the damaged rim. However, it's the lack of customer service and cavalier attitude that I had difficulty with. Because the rims were sent there by my mechanic, WA refused to explain any of the repair procedures to me and did not want to be bothered with examining my rims so they can answer my questions. In a nutshell, I was told that they have their process and I'm just one of the masses they deal with so they can't spend the time to explain their process. Basically, I just need to be happy with being part of cattle they herd through their daily routines. Needless to say, I was quite put off by this especially I was dealing with a $2000 Porsche OEM rim so I needed to be comfortable with their procedures when I was told the whole rim would be stripped and re-powder coated to OEM paint when it's only the non-painted rim edge that needed polishing. The worst part of this whole experience was that I talked to Luis, the store manager! I couldn't believe this kind of attitude was coming from someone that was supposed to lead the store staff. I later dealt with another staff and he was actually very pleasant and more helpful. So the work is good but attitude stunk, at least if you're dealing with the manager. read more

I took it to wheels america and they were able to fix my wheels and make them look brand new again... and it was done over night! READ BEFORE COMING HERE! My boyfriend and I went here to get his wheels painted a bronze color. First thing is the fact that there were about four guys standing behind the counter and not one of them greeted us or asked what we needed. Secondly, the office was extremely dirty, the displays were noticeably dusty and there was a small room in the office with things thrown everywhere and layers of dirt built up. The third is the color selection is completely missing, we asked for a bronze and we were showed samples of grey and black. They wanted to keep his vehicle in an ally next to their shop with only a small gate and chain to protect it overnight. We asked for some type of paperwork to prove we left his vehicle there and we were told "we don't do that." They became annoyed with our questions and were very rude. If you even slightly care about your vehicle, do your research and do NOT come here. read more

Beware! I know that there is not many business that repair wheels but I would not use Wheels America again. Calling ahead I received a quote of no more than $400 to repair my two wheels. I have two piece wheels that need to be repaired. To save time I remove the wheels and brought them in to have them repair. Keep in mind that every day for repair is one day without the use of this car. (DAY1) They said he needed to talk to the head mechanic that works nights to see if they can be repaired the wheel and they will call me the next day. (DAY2) I did no received a call and call them in the afternoon. They said the head mechanic did not get back to them and he will contact him tonight and they will call me tomorrow. (Day3) Again I did not receive a call back and call them. They said that the lips could not be repair and I needed to purchase new ones. I said how much? He said he did not know and have not checked for the availability and will call be back tomorrow. (Day 4) He did call the next day and said it would be $500 and they have the parts will be in the next day. The repair should be two days and I can pick up my wheels on Monday. Now, I am without my car for that weekend. (DAY6) I called two schedules my pick for my wheels. They said they cannot work on my wheels because they do not have the correct wrench and had two orders it. WHAT! (Day7) Wrench did not show up. (DAY8) The wench came in and my wheels will be ready Thursday at 10am. (Day10) I show up at Wheel America 45 minute drive, no surprise my wheels are not ready and they said they tried to call me to come in on Friday. BS (Day11) I pick up my wheels that where very dirty and the chrome valve caps where missing. 11 days without my car. This is not the end... Two week later , one of my wheels started to leak. I call Wheels America and they said come in and we will repair it for free. They said it will take two days. (Day 1 Tues) Again I took my wheel off and brought it in for this repair. They said, We will call you in two days which will be Thursday. Never received a call on Thursday. I call on Friday Morning and they said " Ya , it was ready yesterday". (Day Four) I said I will be coming in the next hour to pick up my wheel. I show up and the guy said the tire has not been mounted and it will take 10 to 15 minutes. WHAT! I wait 20 minutes and the guy rolls out the wheel without the center cap. I ask if he tested the wheel for leaks and where my center cap? No I did not test the wheel for leaks and I need to find the center cap. WHAT! read more

Dropped of my poorly painted rims that the previous owner got done by a mobile guy. These guys not only powder coated the rims but they also re-machined the wheel's face. I found this place on my iPhone maps, looking for a place to repair my bent rim. I called them up and was surprised to hear they only charge 75 dollars to fix rims, 125 if you want them refinished. 2 days later, I call them (they did not call me) and find out that my rim was declared "unrepairable". That's the only explanation I got by the high school student working at the front desk. No tech ever came out to talk about it. I would later find it why. My tire was taken off and not mounted back on. Not a huge problem, except.::: When I call up a DIFFERENT shop, they fixed the rim to factory specs. It takes them 2 days to do it. Not only that but the owner and tech both came out to talk to me and discuss exactly what was to be done. They were professional, and spoke English as their native language. The place was on grand/Pomona in Santa Ana. It cost a little more but they got the job done as promised. Now, back to wheels America and their story...Here's the best part, when Wheels America took my tire off the rim they messed up the bead and ruined a practically brand new 245/35r20 tire. Not cheap. And I felt like they just tried to get rid of me quietly, forgetting I have access to the Internet. . So, besides all the wasted time I had to go through, in a short sentence they said they could fix my wheel, ended up not being qualified to do so, and also screwed up my tire. Nice job. I first purchased a wheel from this vendor on eBay, paid for with PayPal. The wheel sent was for another vehicle. I returned the wheel and the money was returned to PayPal. I then purchased a wheel directly from the Fullerton store. It had to be returned, re-machined and resent directly to America's Tire for mounting. So far so good. Today I checked on line banking and discovered that Wheels America Houston charged me $139 and took money from my checking account for a second wheel they say I ordered and received. When I finally did speak with someone in Houston, I was told a second wheel was delivered to my home and signed for with UPS. I never have anything delivered to my home, since I work at an office. Not only did I never order a second wheel, one was never delivered to my home. I attempted to convey this to the lady from Wheels America, and she all but called me a liar, and that Wheels America is keeping my money. It is a good thing that I have a long term relationship with my bank who already credited back my money and will take up the battle with the vendor. Buyer beware! read more
