What a beautiful arena to see the Orlando magic play. It looks brand new inside and out. Parking is available all around the arena with different paid lots. They do currently have a rule of no bags or purses other than a small clutch (as of 12/29/2021) and they have mobile paying lockers so you don't have to return the purse all the way to your car. There are many food and beverage options and souvenirs located throughout the arena. I get a personal Sized pizza from Papa John's. Friendly staff al around. They also host concerts and other shows here. read more

The entrance process for the JB concert was extremely disorganized, they told us the scanners went down a they were shuttle ing all the people in one entrance it was horrific. Disappointing was to pay $75 for a T-shirt's for the concert? Plenty of beverage choice stands and lots of restrooms were open. Our seats were amazing. Very dated venue... Staff are friendly. Sound system was not bad. Wide variety of junk food. Club level is also dated but nice. We bought last minute tickets that were not expensive. I felt sorry for friends that paid full price for this place... The promoter for our event did not allow upgrades. This is not really a good venue anymore... Drink prices are very high but that is expected... Last minute tickets are the way to go here. Check the promoter rules for upgrades before buying.... read more

Went to see a show is expensive enough especially when they tack on all the fees... but charging $5.50 for a bottle of water and $6.25 for a soda is highway robbery. Revisiting the former Orlando Arena or TD Waterhouse Centre was definitely a travel through history. Today, it stands just as beautiful as it did years ago. Yet, much more advanced in technology and modern architecture. I love the new layout and how easy it is to find parking. After immediately exiting I-4 onto Anderson, the Geico Parking Garage was easy access for only $10. And what was even more convenient was the fact that the corridor leading to the Amway Center from the garage was on the 5th floor which was one floor below my parking level. They also held the security searches right before the entrance to the corridor in the parking garage. Major cool points! The inside of the Amway Center wasn't much of a change; the actual arena itself still looked just like any other arena. Overall, what really captured the essence for me was how the security controlled the crowds. Especially after the ceremony, they were strict on the exiting directions verses where everyone met the graduates. The highlight of my visit was the floral station for such a special moment as I didn't have time to purchase a graduation gift. read more

The Amway center is not without its flaws, but is one of the better modern arenas in Florida. Here are a few hints to make your experience better! Park in the Geico Garage, it is right next to the arena and is connected with a walkway to the main level. This saves you a ton of time and is worth the few extra dollars. If your event may be over 75% full, buy your parking in advance or you may be stuck in the sketchy street lots around the arena. Lines for food can get bad, but if you walk a little past the busiest booths you generally see shorter lines. People have a tendency to get in the first few lines they see. This also applies to restrooms. They have an infuriating policy that if you buy a bottle of water, they have to pour it into a cup. Not great for a busy arena. It's easy to spill. Many arenas take your bottle cap (also dumb) and some let you keep the bottle as normal. Why the bizarre policy here? Overall the acoustics and seating are great for concerts or other events! read more

We've came here in the past for various reasons but won tickets to see a Magic game. This was my first basketball game I've ever gone to and a first for me and my husband to enjoy together. We had amazing seats and the vibe and hype was infectious. I loved the rooftop bar after which gave a nice romantic ending to our date night. Very late review, but thinking back on how much fun I had here, I had to leave one. I came here for the happiness begins tour, flew from LA and it was very worth it. I'm glad I came to this venue it was so organized , clean, and beautiful. Would definitely come back here for another event (hopefully not under covid circumstances of course) and it's also super close to the theme parks and hotels. Been here many times for different events but I have to say my favorite is when you have suite seats! I've been for concerts, magic basketball games & solar bear hockey games. So I'll try to keep it short but I'm mentioning both experiences. First I went to see a basketball game & you had to check any size bag. Mind you I had a dress on so no pockets. W/e I wanted to bring in I had to give to my friend for him to hold for me. It was cold waiting outside to use the lockers that weren't nearly enough. So once those were full we waited in line at a tent where they placed our purses on the ground with a tagged #. The food was pricey but good. The drinks were even more expensive. Second time I went to a concert. I was able to bring my wristlet in. I walked thru the security & scanned my ticket. My ticket scanned blue so she told me to talk to the lady helping ppl find their seats. They upgraded me from the 200s to the 100s so that was nice. Everything is marked & pretty easy to navigate. 1.5 oz pour $15, 2 oz pour (which they considered a double, I do not) was $22. The concert started on time, I had a great time. The bathrooms were clean both times. read more

The Anway Center is a great venue that hosts many events! From sports, theater, concerts, and more! The venue is HUGE! You could easily get lost if you have your face down the whole time trying to check in or send a tweet. There are plenty of concessions to go too for meals, alcohol, and snacks. Depending on the event, there is also plenty of photo ops around to take a selfie, group photo or advertise merchandise. There is also an area for tourist that has info about Orlando and a sitting section for it too. The Anway Center had lounges available if you want to get away from venue crowd, or after the event (sporting event, concert, theater show) such as 180 lounge on the roof. There's even a garage that's attached to the building, so you could walk over to the main building, but it'll cost you $20. This is convenient, unless you have a ticket at will call. You'll have to exit the garage on the first floor, and walk around the outside of the building near the entrance of the building on Church St.. I don't mind walking, but I wasn't expecting it after paying $20 and getting denied entry from the security checking tickets, from walking over the bridge. read more

Long time listener first time caller... wow! I came to the Amway center for a AFC Football Game: Jacksonville Sharks vs. the Orlando Predators. This Area was built for basketball which made the entire experience very interesting compared to the home area. The Amway Center is the home to the Orlando Magic Basketball Team and the Orlando Solar Bears Hockey team. Wow do they have the facility to put on a show!!! I had am amazing time watching the Jacksonville Sharks play and we went home with a win! I was really impressed with their facility and everything they had to offer. What really stood out to me was the triangle shaped outside bar that overlooks the Orlando Skyline. It was closed due to the rain when I went but definitely a cool experience. The Arena is about a block away from main street downtown Orlando. It was great to be able to walk around and explore the city before the game. This arena was an amazing experience and the suites looked like the went all the way to to ceiling! I can't wait to come back for another game! read more

Venue was clean, sound was good. Had some issues with ADA compliance....I recently had 2 surgeries to repair 5 fractures in my ankle. After a few months of not being able to, I can now walk (albeit slowly, with a limp). There is a screw across my joint that limits the flexibility of my foot, making stairs quite difficult. I had seats in the 200's section. Upon arriving, I was able to ride the elevator up to the top level with no problem. The attendant was even entertaining for the quick ride up. After the show, I proceeded to the same elevator and was told I was not allowed to take it. My options were the escalator or stairs. It would have taken me a very long time to traverse the stairs (and I would have caused a traffic jam), so I proceeded to the escalator. People were crammed onto the escalator (the alarm went off twice on the way down, I assume due to weight violations). I was terrified that someone would step on my recovering ankle causing more damage. It was also difficult to quickly step off and move away in a timely manner to be sure everyone could exit safely. I asked if the elevator was out of service, and was told that it was in fact operational, but was for elderly and ADA guests. I have a disabled parking permit approved by my doctor, so I'm not sure what the criteria was? Unfortunately, I left the venue on negative terms; and it ruined what should have been a wonderful evening. Perhaps guests who are planning to use an elevator need to come in a wheelchair to show that they are "disabled enough" to justify use? Hopefully, Amway updates their policies and/or trains there team to ensure nobody else has an experience like mine. read more

Saw an Orlando Solar Bears game at the Amway Center and really enjoyed the experience. I understand that this venue is first and foremost the home to the NBA's Magic, but as a minor league hockey arena the AC is not the best venue. First of all, on the night we visited the crowd was extremely sparse (especially given that the Solar Blades are in 3rd place and certain to make the playoffs). The end sections of the upper bowl were draped off, though for a crowd that small they could probably just not sell the upper bowl seats at all--and the lower bowl would still not have been even 1/2 full. It just seemed like the fans were so dispersed that the cheering crowd noise was drowned out by the vacuous empty space. Another disappointment was that, for hockey, some of the best seats in the house simply do not exist in this house. What am I talking about? Well, it's a truly amazing experience to sit right next to the glass behind the goalie and watch the players crash the board and see shots zing past the net and slam into the glass. There's really no other professional sporting experience that gets you THAT close to the action without risking cranial injury or dental work. But at the AC, on one end of the ice the stands are pulled all the way back so there is no seating option at all, and on the other end the seats are back a couple feet from the glass--no pounding on the glass and hard core celebrating the home team's tallies at the AC. That said, we were sitting 10 rows up right at center ice and our seats were quite comfortable for arena chairs, and there was plenty of leg room. Cup holders are also present, so no need to set your libations on the floor. Oh, and I should mention, I thought it was a little strange that in order to get to the top row of the lower bowl you have to walk down 30+ stairs (and ascend those same stairs when you leave)--glad I didn't have my 73 year old mom on this hockey trip (she never would have made it outta there). There are numerous food options, and we opted for the sandwiches at the carving station--the hand cut sirloin was an excellent arena grub choice (although later I saw the Cuban pork bowls and found myself wishing I had more stomach room; oh well, save that for my next visit). It may seem a 3-star review is a bit harsh for the AC (even I think so), but for a hockey experience it just did not compare to so many of the other 4-star rinks I've visited (and this place is NOT a 5-star venue--it's no Little Caesars Arena). I wish I could bump the AC up to a 3.5, but alas it's not to be. Go Bears! read more

If you're over 6ft, the seats are gonna strain the heck out of the muscles on the front side of your knees... there's no room to even have your legs straight up and down when sitting! None of the seats have cup holders, so that's fun. Not to mention, you're packed in there so tightly! You get the feeling that it's 1914 and you're just happy they even let you on the Titanic. The arena is great overall and after parking in the garage, it's really easy to enter the arena from the garage. The layout of the arena is simple and easy to figure out where you need to go. My only gripe is the amount of stairs you need to walk if you are sitting in the lower levels close to the floor, for a Magic game. We have sat at lower levels, close to the floor at mid court and behind the visitors bench basket. read more

One star only because the guy who helped me while I bought tickets was pretty cool. The rest of the experience wasn't too great. I drove all the way from Tampa because I wanted to avoid the horrible extra fees that Ticketmaster charges. It was inconvenient, but I was buying a lot of tickets so I thought it would be worth it. I started by waiting in line. There was only one window open so the line built up pretty quickly. Finally a second window opened. The guy that was helping me was very helpful. I had a lot of questions and it was a longer process since he did a lot of searching. I got tickets to several games. Not perfect, but it was close to what I wanted. Here is the real problem, in my opinion. I did not receive any tickets. Everything is delivered via text. Also, there are not details so you don't really get to see what you're paying for like you would on a proper receipt. You know there are taxes and fees but you can't see them. And it's a lot of money. The days are long gone where you can't get decent seats for 50 bucks each. When you're spending thousands of dollars, it would be very nice to know the details. At the end, I was happy that I got tickets but I still felt like I got scammed. Lots of money spent, and no receipt. Also, if I want to give one ticket to my daughter or to a friend, I can't just hand it to them. I have to do it electronically. I'm sure it would be cool if I were a teenager. But I'm not. Far from it. It's really messed up that you can drive 90 minutes to the venue to purchase tickets in person but you still have to deal with Ticketmaster. The fans get screwed as usual. read more

Great atmosphere! Before entering the arena you must complete a Covid questionnaire. The staff is provides mask instruction and each user has a sign enforcing mask usage. They're cashless, anything you want to purchase has to be done electronically. As a tourist I recommend coming to a game if you're in town. Covid safety is heavily enforced and the pod system is a best practice to keep groups distant. read more

Will not attend another concert @ Amway Center again unless my tickets are free. Even the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheater @ the Tampa Fairgrounds has large screens on both sides of the stage so wherever concertgoers sit, they can view the stage performers & feel connected to the live event. But not Amway-- none! $133 per ticket (Section 110A-- 3rd Floor directly across from the lower level stage) & we were afforded NO VIEW of the two backup bands. We never did get to see even one band member of Shannon & the Clams (an interesting group) or Modest Mouse (a group I love more now than ever). We were blind. We felt disconnected, which made the concert seem disjointed. It was as though we weren't at a live music concert. It would have been more pleasurable had we been in our homes cranking the volume on our vinyls. Seriously. Due to The Black Keys providing a behind-the-stage screen, we fortunately got a glimpse of the band members, albeit not a great or consistent one. Hence, the two stars rather than one. The Black Keys, my second favorite alternative group, was PHENOMENAL, but our concert experience would have been so much better had we been able to see all three groups perform on stage. I passed on the more expensive tickets closer to the floor & stage because I had never been to a concert that was devoid of screens. It's unfortunate & inexcusable when a concert at the Tampa fairgrounds offers better visuals & an overall better concert experience than one at Amway. With that said, Amway personnel (from the VIP lot guys to the doormen to security & to the men & women stationed throughout the arena) was EXCELLENT. Kudos to management for the excellent training. Who hasn't seen this amazing building while driving on I-4? This nice piece of architecture is worth a visit. First things first, the parking situation. Plenty of parking across I-4, and very good prices, if you decide to pay for parking and not walk a mile. The staff here is very pleasant, the arena itself very well kept and modern inside. I came here for a concert, and even though I did not walk around a lot, I got to see the facilities. There are bars/concessions in several places, or across several floors. The seats are very good, the sound equipment is very good, the lights are pretty cool. I mean, generically speaking, this arena is as good as the come. Maybe the best thing about it is that is right next to downtown, so you can grab a drink and dine, and watch a show without having to drive too far. This arena has a good vibe and people here are well-behaved. I like it. read more

I have a ton of memories at the old TD Waterhouse, graduating high school, Beyoncé taking her tumble (YouTube it), NBA Finals, the Magic having a record breaking season with 3s, Lebron's first game in ORL, and many more. But since the opening of the new Amway arena in the summer of 2010, Orlando has been able to attract better artists and events. No more driving to Tampa or Miami to see A list celebrities. The arena is beautiful and designed in way that there almost isn't a bad seat! In Orlando, home of Disney (the happiest place on earth) the staff embodies that, I have never ever had a bad experience here! read more

The orlando magic youth basketball camp is terrible. They promise free tickets to a game but this promise isn't delivered. There is no clear phone number to contact the camp for the tickets and when you call the orlando magic phone they "write down" your info and never call you back. read more

2019 Review 85/100 This is a pretty great arena. I remember back to the days of Amway Arena and Amway Center is certainly a pretty significant upgrade. Sure, it's great for games (would be better if our team was good). But it's also a fantastic venue for the arts. A lot of different concerts and shows happen here. The set up of the place make those events great even if you're in the upper section. I recently attended a concert at Amway Center. Our seats were at the very top. And still, they felt like good seats with a good view. There are also a lot of food and drink options with some cool bars scattered throughout. And you have One80 lounge at the top, which is a swanky place to grab a drink after attending a game or event. A great venue for Orlando. read more

Amway Center is one of my favorite entertainment venues in Florida. Not only do I love going to Orlando Magic games but this is a great venue for music concerts, Cirque du Soleil, Disney on Ice, and other awesome events. I always enjoy arriving here early before an event because they offer fun things to do in their street area outside near the gates. When it's a Magic game night, they offer fun fan activities, like shooting some hoops and there is the Magic street team going around to hype everyone up. Also, I can't pass up the opportunity to shop in their Orlando Magic team shop. I love when they sell special game day merchandise that can only be found in this particular store (and at the merchandise sections inside the venue). Recently, I went to a Khalid concert here, and they had a photo booth outside which was in a cute little van and the best part was that the printed pics are for free. The concert was great, the sound quality from the stage was excellent, and the process to get everyone in and out of the venue was easy peasy. If you have time to just chill after an event here (which I highly recommend you do if you want to avoid the traffic jam of everyone leaving at the same time), don't forget to check out their rooftop bar with a lovely view of the Orlando city. Note: Review is for an Orlando Magic Homegame. This was my very first time at The Amway Center and it was a pleasant experience overall. The venue is beautiful and I liked that they had what seemed to be a mini-museum area that had info, memorabilia, and even life sized cutouts of the Magic starting 5! There were plenty of concession stands with a variety of food/drinks/junk to choose from. The staff were friendly and helpful and entering/exiting the arena was as smooth as I've ever experienced. The only negatives (which I'm not surprised about but nonetheless bothered by) were the $20 parking, overall concession prices, and the lack of opposing-team merchandise for purchase. Went here for a non-sporting event. Event was fine, as was the event staff, but the Amway is starting to look and feel a little shabby already. Parking was $20 and we only had to walk a couple of miles and go up and down sets of steps to get in, then caught an elevator down to floor level. Temporary seating on the floor was cramped and not comfortable. Bottom line: The place you see an event shouldn't detract from the experience but in this case it did. read more

Watch your seating for concerts. The chairs face straight out and they set the concert stage at one end so you are sitting with your back to anyone you are there with or visa versa. The seats we had were broken (bolts to the ground loose) so the entire 4 seats would move drastically when one person moved. Customer service, who said that happens with the bleachers that retract, could not get us new seats since Ticket masters reps were not there after the start. We ended up in the "dead seats" behind the cameras but it actually had a descent view since Stevie Nicks does not move around on stage. The facility is great. Well appointed and several selections of food and drink. Nothing healthy to choose and you can not bring any food in so eat before coming if you have a specific diet. read more
