Currently sitting at the bar watching the NBA finals. Seems like every time I come here the service is LESS than great. When I sat down I was greeted immediately and asked what would I like. Got a drink menu... ordered a drink. Asked for a food menu later, got my food with no problem. But now here I sit...about 45 minutes later with nothing. She hasn't stopped back by to see if I want another drink, box for my food, or anything. Yet the patrons around me have gotten more rounds atleast twice. Maybe it's because I'm alone and kind of on the quiet side. I don't know. The only reason I'm still here is because I don't believe in dining and dashing and there is still 6:07 left in the game. I had an upsetting experience at this restaurant. Our food was decent but while eating near the kitchen I could hear a manager talking down to the servers. He was talking extremely loud and rude. Very upsetting to hear when we have had great service. I believe it was the bald white male. Something should be done about this. read more

Went there this past Tuesday, Dec. 10 for the burger special. Nice atmosphere. The burger was so salty that I couldn't eat. The manager came out so we placed another order. I ordered the steak and cheese. Could only eat 1/4 of the sandwich. Took home to have it later. Took one bite and had to throw away - way toooooooo salty. I could have stroked out!!! The food here is great, albeit the wait time is a tad bit lengthy. Their mushroom and Swiss burger is hot and fresh, and their Tailgator appetizer has a good amount of food; mozzarella cheese, fried pickles and chicken tenders, with honey mustard, marinara sauce and ranch dipping sauce included with it. The serving glasses for your drink are some of the biggest I've seen in a restaurant! There are huge, flat screen TV's littered throughout the joint, and they all show different sport channels, from the local baseball game to football games. It's definitely a "kickback" in every sense of the word, and I see a mixture of people frequent this place, from dine in to carry out, older and younger, sports enthusiasts talking to the TV to people talking about church. Customer service has been fine during my visits, and if you're on the fence on trying this place out, I'd say go for it! It's good food in a chill environment, day time or night! read more

Great service! The wings were excellent. This was the first time that we saw grilled wings offered and that is the only way we will ever want to get them again. You can taste the char under the sauce (so good). Everything was well prepared and we enjoyed the atmosphere as well. Definitely be returning. Sports bar atmosphere, lots of big screen TVs. Good friendly service. Food is just ok, nothing I've had makes me want to come back just for it. Moderate prices and an ok beer selection. Got the Lobster Roll tonight. Generous portion but the bread that it came on was totally lacking in character, more like an oversized hot dog bun. Bar and grill. Tons of TVs and a bunch of beer on tap. Normal food selections for bar and grills. I ordered the ribs. They were very good. The sauce was just enough and had a slight smoky flavor. The fries were hand cut and the slaw was very tasty. The drinks come in cups that look like they're 1 liter. Beer selection is numerous with a lot on tap. Beer and wine specials run throughout the week. We went on Tuesday. Domestic pints were 2.75 and premium pints were 3.75. It was also half price wine. read more

We had an early dinner ordering a pizza, some boneless wings and a ribeye. First of all, the steak was over cooked and was definitely a NY strip. The pizza was so greasy and tasted just like a frozen pizza you cook at home. I had asked the waitress before we ordered if the boneless wings were typical heavily breaded frozen type boneless wings that most places have and she said oh no, they're not frozen. Well, my second one in I bit into was still icy in the middle! The saving Grace was that my husband ate His "ribeye" and enjoyed the baked beans and fries. The manager did come speak to us and took the wings off our bill which was appreciated. I also shared with him that my pizza was too greasy to eat and he agreed that their pepperoni was very greasy and he wished they'd go back to their old kind! First time visiting here and it was very good. The restaurant was clean and the food was really good. Our server was not that great. She was nice but not very attentive. She didn't check on us as often as she could have. When it came time to pay I paid part cash and part wi h a Visa gift card. She evidently didn't know how to run the gift card and brought it and my cash back and requested another form of payment. When told that what I have her was nearly ten dollars more than was due she insisted that there wasn't enough on the card. The firecracker shrimp is awesome! 18-20 pieces of shrimp crispy with very good sauce. Their ribs are always fall-off-the-bone. Sometimes device is a little slow at the bar but food comes out of kitchen promptly. read more

Echoing a lot of other reviews here, but this is a pretty mediocre place. We came here once with my boyfriend's coworkers. Very loud with many, many tvs. So if you like that, it's probably your thing. But I do not. The food was fine, they had a somewhat affordable bucket with alcohol and sugar in it. It was blue. I saw this place and had to try it. They have plenty of TVs for game days. Even one in the bathroom so you don't miss anything lol. They have a great selection of beers and drinks. Each day will have drink specials and food specials. Our server was nice the service is good. They hire a lot of college students in the town. Wings- They are known for there wings. They have traditional breaded and regular grilled. You get 10,20,30. I decided to try the traditional with 10 unlike other places where you can split 10 and get two types of sauce this place won't do that with irritated me. So I ended up getting 10 traditional Thai chilli which was really good and 10 grilled buffalo garlic. The buffalo garlic I could barely taste the sauce it just tasted like grilled wings. Fries- I wanted to try their tailgate special but they don't have jalepenos poppers so it was pointless to have less variety on a sampler. Instead i opted for cheese fries which was natural cut fried that was good. The bacon was cheaped out on it. It was more like a sprinkle of bacon. The cheese was just solid on top which made a layer that peels off. It's cheese you use in quesadillas. I was hoping it would be cheese sauce. The portion of fries hiding underneath was enormous but unless your eating this plate with a group of people it gets cold fast. Pizza- Finally I wanted to try there pizza which is something they are good for. I was upset at what was brought to me. It's not a perfect round pizza. It more like a rustic hand stretch oval so the slices were random sizes. From the top the pizza looks done but the dough was so undercooked. I could still play with the Dough it was stretchy and resembled a giant rubber band. I wanted to say something to them about it but I saw the manager come up hoping he would see our plate with just half cooked dough all messed up from me messing with it but he didn't seem to care just walked passed us and talk to his friends at the table behind us. I was waiting 10 min but he didn't care to turn around and check on us so I left. It was really surprising to me I had pizza I could still stretch out. Waste of 11 bucks. Terrible service. My friend ordered a steak that she didn't like and only took one bite of, she asked to substitute for something else, politely. The manager, Dale refused to substitute her food and was attempting to make her pay for something she didn't eat, and told us never to come back. Made a yelp account just for this review... It was half-off wine night and there was a game I wanted to watch with some friends... I thought this would be a great place to go to for the price.... Anyway, if you are coming for anything more than beer and TV's, prepare to be disappointed. I ordered an asian salad. When my salad arrived I noticed that I did not see any dressing. I looked through the lettuce in an attempt to find a dollop of dressing, and intead I found a DEAD FLY sitting on a lettuce leaf within my salad. The next time the waitress (who was wonderful by the way) checked on our table, I showed her the fly. She turned on the flashlight from her telephone to look and said, "you are SO getting your food for free." After she came back from the kitchen she told me the manager believed us and my food will be compensated. Utterly disgusted with the salad I ordered a plate of french fries. I was thoroughly disappointed that the manger did not bother to come out and speak with my table, let alone apologize for the disgusting mistake. I have worked in corporate kitchens before, I understand flys happen, a manager or cook should at least have the decency to talk the the table affected by the problem. The waitstaff was wonderful, and the atmosphere was great for watching sports. If you are coming to Kickback Jack's because you are hungry however, I suggest going anywhere else. My husband ordered the wings and ate two for them, stating you could get better quality for the price at Wings Over, Buffalo Wild Wings, or even Hooters for the price. Worst restaurant and experience my wife and I went there after movies and I ordered Philly cheesesteak and my wife ordered American burger WELL DONE and salad. Upon receiving her burger omg that burger was just pink as raw meat it truly is and the salad was even worse. We asked for extra ranch and it was so thick and stiff made me feel like it was sitting in freezer and sat out to thaw. Our waitress also was very bad she was just zoned out in space and she deserve the $3.00 tip I gave. Will never visit there again I would rather eat Gas station hot dogs. read more

The only reason I return to this establishment is purely for the honey BBQ GRILLED wings. Emphasis on grilled since other than Carolina Ale House, I don't know of another wing establishment with grilled wings in Greenville. And I like these wings more than CAH's. However the main reason this restaurant gets so few stars is for the horrendous service (the wings is what bumped it to 2 stars vs 1). Now this is on me to keep going despite the terrible service, but I can say that no matter when I go and what mood I'm in, the service is impeccably terrible. They always have waitresses just chilling and talking in the back and you're sitting there wondering where your waitress is. Be it getting your order wrong (on purpose mind you) or over cooking the fries, something is ALWAYS wrong with this place. So if I were you, I'd say DO NOT GO.... Considering the social distancing to limit COVID exposure is a wonderful thing. This being said, the intent is not to split up families during their dining experiences. My wife had told me about the restaurant and how the kids loved it. However; with 6 kids, they would not allow us to sit together. This is unacceptable for a family who lives and travels together. I would encourage restaurants too reconsider their position when it comes to large families. Would have been nice to let the kids eat at their restaurant of choice. My first time going to kickback jacks and my experience wasn't bad.... it's very loud.... not good for babies lol The waiters can be better at their job but their food makes up for it. I will say not a good experience at all. Normally I'm not hard on judging but this all around was bad. The management was bad and the service she was nice but only saw her about twice within 2 hours and it was not busy. All the waitresses did was sit in the kitchen with the manager and talk. Then once I asked about a substitute on a meal the manager yelled at the waiter about it sayin I could t do it. It's one thing to say no but yo tell also no that's not called for. I am a manager and I can say manager to manager that is not how you conduct business with anyone no matter what your position. He was a short larger manager i think his name began with an E but anyways that made me upset had to wait for my food because he did not want to give me the substitute. The steak was literally about the size of a bratwurst if I can find the way to post my picture I will it was a joke Then .... My companion across from me found pieces of metal In his pizza! Service was a bit slow, but friendly and accommodating. Wings were a little overcooked and the dry rub was caked on a bit too much. Not the typical Kickback Jack's experience I'm used to so I think this was definitely a one-off situation. I'll be back to give them another try. read more
