This place was decent. I have been to a lot seafood boil places and this was good but more towards the bottom of my list. The food was filling and perfect to share. The sauce was good but I have had better at other places but still wasn't bad.

Finally came here with some friends on a Friday night. The restaurant was full and there were a lot of people waiting to be seated in the lobby as well. Our friends arrived earlier and were able to get us a table! Our server was very nice and friendly. My husband and I ordered a combo one dinner and the hush puppies as an appetizer. The dinner came out before the appetizer. After watching other tables, it seemed like that was the case for them as well. The hush puppies were burnt and dry, unfortunately! I have lived in the south and love a good hush puppy but wouldn't order these again. I was disappointed! The seafood boil was fresh and flavorful. However, it wasn't super hot when it came out to us. Not sure why. The clams were delicious and my favorite. The shrimp were big and I would order them with no head next time to make it easier to eat. Overall, it was a decent experience and I would come back whenever someone wants to go! There's a lot to try on their menu. I love that this is in Utah County and it seems to be doing pretty well!

Absolutely amazing!!! Definitely enjoyed and loved this seafood boil. I been to the Kickin in Layton several times and loved them but they changed to a buffet style which sucked so I was excited to come here to the one in Orem. The service was magnificent and all the servers was friendly and amazing. The ambiance was nice and calm and you felt taken care of. I will definitely return. Our waiter she was amazing and kept checking on us regularly which was amazing. Definitely will see you all again.

Came here on Sunday 8/31 and it was so freaking goood! Our server who I can't remember his name but he had blonde hair up to his shoulders and a hat was the best! He knew when to check up on us and gave us the perfect amount of space to dig our faces! Service was 10/10 ask for him! We got the calamari and Cajun fries to start calamari was a little tough but still good! I got the #1 with all shrimp and my boyfriend got the #3, but we really could've shared one combo and we CAN EAT! It was very slow when we got there but by the time we left it was almost full! Cute little spot you can write your name anywhere basically and was super cool! Definitely will be coming again!

Our first time here and it was a great experience. The waiter was super funny and friendly, he helped us figure out the right combination of things with a variety of spice levels. We got all of them with the kickin sauce which is all of them combined... next time we will ask for extra sauce. Make sure to get garlic bread, it soaked up the sauce perfectly! We will for be back, with friends for a fun night out.

Been curious about this place for the dine-in experience - and it was a good first-time experience! Met a friend there for a late lunch/early dinner so we were the only ones there between those odd hours but we received really great service! The waitress was attentive and abided by our every wish. I had their seafood boil for the first time about 1.5+ years ago, but it was when they were doing only take out in the beginning/middle of the pandemic. I have to say the dine-in experience was way better. Their shrimps (seafood boil) with head-on were quite bigger than expected and compared to other seafood boils I've had (in Salt Lake County) so that was a pleasant surprise! Their kickin' style sauce (a mixture of all the sauces) on medium heat has a good flavor - really enjoyed it. We also had the raw oysters and sweet potato fries for appetizers. Great spacious atmosphere, where you can also settle in for an hour or so and still keep a distance (one or two tables away) from other patrons. Will definitely come back here as it's close to home. We need more places like this in Utah County!

Wanted fish for Good Friday and this establishment had a 4 star rating. Got here early a little after 5 to avoid the dinner rush. Sat down quickly and service was great even as many started to arrive. Not thrilled with the food options or the ability to substitute but my order included two appetizers, the Calamari which was golden, not greasy & the seafood gumbo was large bowl ordered without rice. It looked like a good choice with plenty of vegetables but found it hard to find the seafood other than a few tiny shrimp embryos & after enjoying excellent gumbo in New Orleans, it was difficult to call this gumbo & they hand out tiny cheap plastic spoons for the gumbo, if you come bring a spoon. The main meal was option 1 & my choices were 2 portions of shimp and 1 of mussels. I did enjoy the meal and had some to bring home. The corn was over cooked but the garlic bread (extra cost) sausage and potatoes were ok! Could have used scissors for de-shelling the shrimp but didn't realize they were available until on our way out. Place is ok, they would do well to provide ala cart in the future so patrons can make their own choices.

Best Cajun sea food you're going to get around here. You know it's good when you see a Louisiana license plate in the parking lot. Service was good and quick, food was fairly priced, establishment was clean.

My husband and I usually go to a cajun seafood broil in salt lake but we didn't want to drive all the way to salt lake to eat. We decided to try this place, I noticed most of the recent reviews were good so we decided to check it out. Service was quick we got our food soon after ordering. We got the medium spice but we both agreed we could have gone up a level the fries were good and so was calamari. The aesthetic was not what I expected but it was kind of cool to see all the names of people who have come before. Over all we enjoyed our selfs and the food really hit the spot. Also the price was very reasonable for what you get. We'll be back for sure.

Combo #1 with shrimp, crawfish, and clams. Good for 2 people.

Kickin Seafood Cajun Style is for the ultimate seafood lover! Food etiquette: you tie on a bib and eat with your hands! Eating without gloves is done by most professional seafood eaters. If you prefer to keep your hands clean you can use the gloves provided. There is an easy accessible hand washing station in the dining area. Food ordered for 2: COMBO deal #1. Our 3 choices: Shrimp (1/2 lb.), Crawfish (1/2 lb.), and Clam (1/2 lb.) It also includes 3 corns, 3 potatoes & 6 pcs. cut sausage. Spice level: medium. Appetizers: fried calamari. Side: garlic bread. Food experience: the fried calamari was pretty awesome and one of the better calamari I've had. The food was prepared well and I really enjoyed the sauce. Medium was spicy enough for my heat-tolerant taste buds. After eating COMBO #1, I've decided that I would love to try the combos with crab. This is only because I'm a professional seafood lover and eating just shrimp and clams is too tame. Next time, bring on the crab! However, I was pretty stuffed after sharing my Combo #1 and I didn't leave hungry. Ambience: the restaurant has a laid-back vibe with walls covered in scribbles done by customers. Also, it makes eating with your elbows on the table and your hands covered in sauce and juices much more enjoyable.

    Waiting in excitement!

First off, we love this place. We are HUGE seafood fans and love spicy food. We are always greeted promptly and treated with respect (which is rare in the food industry these days). We love to get the #4 combo deal with lobster, shrimp and crawfish as our mains and then the sausage, corn & potatoes on the side. We always choose the kickin style sauce with medium heat for the boil and then we get side cups of the kickin style sauce in spicy for extra flavor. We always leave happy and stuffed for hours. We've never had a bad experience here & Edgar is usually our server and he's such a sweetheart & does his job the way everyone should. I'd definitely recommend coming here if you love spicy seafood! Don't forget to try out the Cajun edamame and a side of steamed rice with your boil!

#2 combo deal with kickin' style sauce
    Carolyn G.

We almost didn't go in the restaurant cause of the bad reviews, but there were no other place open on a Sunday. I'm glad we went in to try it! The kickin's style sauce was so good. If I can rate this place higher, I would. The combination of scrumptious food and excellent service is always the best experience. We will definitely come back when we're back in Provo.

However for a second we were a little confused about what was considered shareable versus a one person dish, but our server was amazing and stayed to explain everything to us. (Apparently most are shareable depending on your appetite) We added a couple drinks to our tab. I tried the blended specials margarita with tajin on the rim and my husband ordered a blended Sex on the Beach. I'll give it a 9 out of 10 only because the bendy heart straws were super cute but kind of a mess to drink out of. We also ordered the Mr and Mrs Crab shots. They weren't anything too special but the flavor was still decent. Both my kids ordered from the kids menu and I was honestly impressed by how good their food looked. My son had the fried shrimp with mac and cheese and my daughter ordered the chicken wings. The portions were great and the quality was impressive. Truthfully it is one of the better kids menus I've seen in a while. 10/10 no notes. Now for the main event. My husband ordered the #Crabfam Classic and I built my own boil with snow crab, mussels, head off shrimp, potatoes, corn, and an egg. We both chose the Mr and Mrs Crab seasoning at a medium heat level and we were not disappointed. I have not had seafood this good in Utah. Florida girl here with a semi San Francisco husband, so I would say we have standards. The seasoning was perfect and the shrimp was cooked just right. The spice level was spot on, but I think I could have gone even hotter. At the end of it all it only cost $140ish for a full family of 4 and that included drinks, imo a great price for what you get! The overall vibe of the place was great, I drive past this spot all the time and never see many people there. If you are in American Fork or near Lehi High, I definitely recommend giving it a try.

And the restaurant was not busy. I don't want a server to hover, but it took a while to get a water refill. The food was quite good. Surprised by how good the hush puppies were. Sometimes they tend to be dry but these were just right and very flavorful. Also got the crab fam classic. Appreciated the server input on the garlic butter. You can get seasoned or not. We got seasoned and it had great flavor along with good garlic butter. The amount of food received was not quite what other places have, but the flavor was on point and the meats cooked well. I would definitely go back and hope they are able to stick around.

I ordered the combo seafood boil and the calamari appetizer to start. The appetizer did come out after our meals so we didn't get to eat much of it since we wanted our meals. I don't know why it didn't come out shortly after ordering. The calamari appetizer does have fried jalapeños as well, which is a nice addition. The dipping sauces weren't anything special - I wish they had a jalapeño ranch like other seafood boil restaurants do. The seafood boil itself was delicious! I got 1lb of shrimp, with the head off, 1/2 pound of black mussels, and then they include sausage, corn, and potatoes. I got a mix of all the seasonings/sauces and a medium spice level. The flavor was so good and it's so fun dipping everything into the sauce before eating it. I also ordered a side of white rice to add my sauce to as well - always a must! The shrimp was juicy and tasted very fresh. The mussels also tasty fresh and did not have a sour or fishy taste. Everything was very yummy! I can't wait to come back!
