This place was decent. I have been to a lot seafood boil places and this was good but more towards the bottom of my list. The food was filling and perfect to share. The sauce was good but I have had better at other places but still wasn't bad.

    Lame

The 1.5 pound was full of garbage pieces like this. Rip off. Maybe actually give 1.5 pounds of crab legs that have meat in them.

Absolutely amazing!!! Definitely enjoyed and loved this seafood boil. I been to the Kickin in Layton several times and loved them but they changed to a buffet style which sucked so I was excited to come here to the one in Orem. The service was magnificent and all the servers was friendly and amazing. The ambiance was nice and calm and you felt taken care of. I will definitely return. Our waiter she was amazing and kept checking on us regularly which was amazing. Definitely will see you all again.

Came here on Sunday 8/31 and it was so freaking goood! Our server who I can't remember his name but he had blonde hair up to his shoulders and a hat was the best! He knew when to check up on us and gave us the perfect amount of space to dig our faces! Service was 10/10 ask for him! We got the calamari and Cajun fries to start calamari was a little tough but still good! I got the #1 with all shrimp and my boyfriend got the #3, but we really could've shared one combo and we CAN EAT! It was very slow when we got there but by the time we left it was almost full! Cute little spot you can write your name anywhere basically and was super cool! Definitely will be coming again!

Our first time here and it was a great experience. The waiter was super funny and friendly, he helped us figure out the right combination of things with a variety of spice levels. We got all of them with the kickin sauce which is all of them combined... next time we will ask for extra sauce. Make sure to get garlic bread, it soaked up the sauce perfectly! We will for be back, with friends for a fun night out.

Been curious about this place for the dine-in experience - and it was a good first-time experience! Met a friend there for a late lunch/early dinner so we were the only ones there between those odd hours but we received really great service! The waitress was attentive and abided by our every wish. I had their seafood boil for the first time about 1.5+ years ago, but it was when they were doing only take out in the beginning/middle of the pandemic. I have to say the dine-in experience was way better. Their shrimps (seafood boil) with head-on were quite bigger than expected and compared to other seafood boils I've had (in Salt Lake County) so that was a pleasant surprise! Their kickin' style sauce (a mixture of all the sauces) on medium heat has a good flavor - really enjoyed it. We also had the raw oysters and sweet potato fries for appetizers. Great spacious atmosphere, where you can also settle in for an hour or so and still keep a distance (one or two tables away) from other patrons. Will definitely come back here as it's close to home. We need more places like this in Utah County!

Wanted fish for Good Friday and this establishment had a 4 star rating. Got here early a little after 5 to avoid the dinner rush. Sat down quickly and service was great even as many started to arrive. Not thrilled with the food options or the ability to substitute but my order included two appetizers, the Calamari which was golden, not greasy & the seafood gumbo was large bowl ordered without rice. It looked like a good choice with plenty of vegetables but found it hard to find the seafood other than a few tiny shrimp embryos & after enjoying excellent gumbo in New Orleans, it was difficult to call this gumbo & they hand out tiny cheap plastic spoons for the gumbo, if you come bring a spoon. The main meal was option 1 & my choices were 2 portions of shimp and 1 of mussels. I did enjoy the meal and had some to bring home. The corn was over cooked but the garlic bread (extra cost) sausage and potatoes were ok! Could have used scissors for de-shelling the shrimp but didn't realize they were available until on our way out. Place is ok, they would do well to provide ala cart in the future so patrons can make their own choices.

Combo #1 with shrimp, crawfish, and clams. Good for 2 people.

Kickin Seafood Cajun Style is for the ultimate seafood lover! Food etiquette: you tie on a bib and eat with your hands! Eating without gloves is done by most professional seafood eaters. If you prefer to keep your hands clean you can use the gloves provided. There is an easy accessible hand washing station in the dining area. Food ordered for 2: COMBO deal #1. Our 3 choices: Shrimp (1/2 lb.), Crawfish (1/2 lb.), and Clam (1/2 lb.) It also includes 3 corns, 3 potatoes & 6 pcs. cut sausage. Spice level: medium. Appetizers: fried calamari. Side: garlic bread. Food experience: the fried calamari was pretty awesome and one of the better calamari I've had. The food was prepared well and I really enjoyed the sauce. Medium was spicy enough for my heat-tolerant taste buds. After eating COMBO #1, I've decided that I would love to try the combos with crab. This is only because I'm a professional seafood lover and eating just shrimp and clams is too tame. Next time, bring on the crab! However, I was pretty stuffed after sharing my Combo #1 and I didn't leave hungry. Ambience: the restaurant has a laid-back vibe with walls covered in scribbles done by customers. Also, it makes eating with your elbows on the table and your hands covered in sauce and juices much more enjoyable.

Best Cajun sea food you're going to get around here. You know it's good when you see a Louisiana license plate in the parking lot. Service was good and quick, food was fairly priced, establishment was clean.

My husband and I usually go to a cajun seafood broil in salt lake but we didn't want to drive all the way to salt lake to eat. We decided to try this place, I noticed most of the recent reviews were good so we decided to check it out. Service was quick we got our food soon after ordering. We got the medium spice but we both agreed we could have gone up a level the fries were good and so was calamari. The aesthetic was not what I expected but it was kind of cool to see all the names of people who have come before. Over all we enjoyed our selfs and the food really hit the spot. Also the price was very reasonable for what you get. We'll be back for sure.

    Waiting in excitement!

First off, we love this place. We are HUGE seafood fans and love spicy food. We are always greeted promptly and treated with respect (which is rare in the food industry these days). We love to get the #4 combo deal with lobster, shrimp and crawfish as our mains and then the sausage, corn & potatoes on the side. We always choose the kickin style sauce with medium heat for the boil and then we get side cups of the kickin style sauce in spicy for extra flavor. We always leave happy and stuffed for hours. We've never had a bad experience here & Edgar is usually our server and he's such a sweetheart & does his job the way everyone should. I'd definitely recommend coming here if you love spicy seafood! Don't forget to try out the Cajun edamame and a side of steamed rice with your boil!

The food is average. The server is very service friendly. The calamari and soft shell crap had too much batter. The shrimps are over cooked.

I'm a big fan of po boys and gave the shrimp po boy a try. I was impressed with the fried shrimp - a nice light batter and a good fry. The sandwich could have used a little more sauce and lettuce for the amount of bread, but I did enjoy it. My friend tried the Wednesday special - head off shrimp and snow crab legs. You get to choose the sauce and the spice level. It's a good amount of food and it all tasted really good. And we thoroughly enjoyed mopping up some leftover sauce with some fries :) I was hesitant on how good the boil would be here in Utah, but my friend's was good enough that I would go back and try it.

Our waitress, Lindsey, was nice but didn't seem to know the answers to many of our questions about the menu, virgin drinks, etc. there was a lot of "I don't know" or "I don't think so." Blake, the manager, checked on us throughout and was very accommodating. He made me a tasty virgin mojito. For my boil, I did head off shrimp, clams, and sausage. They added crab legs for $1 since we spent more than $50. I did the House special sauce and spicy. Wow, the spicy was very hot! I think next time I would do mild because the spicy (which was the medium) wasn't a medium heat. However, it did have good flavor and all the seafood was really tasty. I didn't care for the sausage, I wouldn't get that next time. It was too thin and it was dry. I only had two potatoes in my boil as well. Wish there was at least three. We also asked for extra sauce and was charged for that (without a notice). I appreciated the complimentary cheesecake for my birthday! That was very nice. Overall, good experience with tasty food. I will definitely be back!

The dipping sauces weren't anything special - I wish they had a jalapeño ranch like other seafood boil restaurants do. The seafood boil itself was delicious! I got 1lb of shrimp, with the head off, 1/2 pound of black mussels, and then they include sausage, corn, and potatoes. I got a mix of all the seasonings/sauces and a medium spice level. The ribs were smothered in their raspberry bbq sauce which is just not good. Shame because the ribs were tender and cooked well. 2. The brisket. Who taught this person carving tonight how to cut brisket??!?! As someone who lived in central Texas for almost 6 years, the way this meat was cut was offensive. We got a a pound of brisket and they were cut into GIANT chunks almost an inch thick. Brisket is supposed to be SLICED and it's not supposed to be covered in sauce either. Thankfully the classic sauce is actually good but it ruins the bark!! The bark lost its peppery bite being covered in sauce. The point of brisket is it doesn't need sauce if it's done right. The chunks were so thick it made it chewy. Maybe if sliced thinner it would've been better. 3. The potato salad tasted like it was made with dole whip cream it was terribly sweet. The Mac and cheese had no flavor to it at all, and the beans were alright. 4. The sausage was flavorful and juicy. We finished that. I feel so bad for the people of Utah that think this is good bbq. It is not. I don't expect Texas bbq outside of Texas but this was just sad and not worth the $80 we spent. And what's worse is we are still hungry because the ribs were inedible and the brisket was so chewy. And, please please please go over meat carving with whoever was cutting the brisket this evening (4/7).
