My daughter loves playing at kids empire, so naturally, she asked to have her bday party here. I wish I had read all the reviews about hosting party here before promising her. All in all, I was more stressed out at this party than at my own wedding! The communication was confusing before and up to even the day of the BD party. It depends on who you talked to, you got different guidance. The food scheduling is chaotic. There is a pizza place next door, I don't know why they don't cut a deal with them on all the pizza supply, but rather, this Rosatis somewhere else. They forgot 2 of our pies and took forever to come back with them. Thankfully the 2 cheese pizzas that arrived first was enough for the kids, but the adults had to starve. (More on this below) Then the cake wasn't rolled out immediately, but we had to wait for this Huggies character to show up. I don't understand why huggies didn't get ready while the kids were eating...then the cake didn't magically show up after Huggies danced, it was another 10/15min or something. Then coincidentally the 2 missing pizzas were here. Kids all seated, so do we cake or pizza again?! It was a chaos. I also don't understand why we can't have the cakes first before Huggies. It's not like we needed huggies or their public bday song for our little one. It's an icing on the cake. If we do cake immediately after pizza, then huggies can show up whenever they dust the costume off, and adult can eat the missing pizzas in peace when kids play. But instead, we had to follow their already-screwed-up schedule (missing pizza, huggies not ready, cake not follow immediately after huggies) kids don't sit around and wait for something, and this place is gigantic....I had to regroup kids at least 3 times for food, huggies and cake! Crazy! Whole point of having party elsewhere is so we don't have the stress! I felt like I was stressed out those couple hours making sure things run smoothly! I don't even have this stress at my wedding! Kids seem to have fun. Big place to run around. Fun to come play, I would rec'd party elsewhere. read more

This place is going downhill fast. It was so nice to come here. Now the cars don't work, the restrooms are always dirty. The lunches went up $1, yet they're always out of the sandwich included. Outside food is not allowed , but you still see families with full bags of OUTSIDE food. The toy machines are barely full. The staff ( not all ) are so rude and just not friendly to be in a KIDS working environment. What they're good at is keeping the tables clean. But they're not super attentive when you walk to the counter. It's as if we're in the way or Interrupting their phone time. Pls do better. This is a kids place. The rules are not enforced as far as no climbing on ropes or slides. They see it happen and walk as if they're blind. read more

I will give one star to the all employees and the HR department because I tried calling and getting a hold of them since August 15th . With emails and phone calls . I had my daughter birthday party there and I was over charged for four adults because they never confirm with me for the party. The initial party was for 10 adults They said they will call me to confirm the day of but they never did... they make you pay for everything in advance. Which you should pay at the end of you party not before. I'm disappointed of how everything is managed there . The staff there is not helping you. Checked this spot out on a Tuesday afternoon and I'm pretty impressed. From the customer service and cleanliness I certainly recommend. My son had come with school and so this was my 1st time. $15 per child and u automatically get 2 adults. Let me say you will need to get into things with a young one like mine (under 2) but certainly older toddlers/kids can navigate on their own. Parking - Free due to location Food- No OUTDOOR food or drink. There are small snacks (such as cookies, string cheese, cotton candy) for purchase. I gave in and bought some cookies and juice box for $3.00. My total cost for a few hours of fun $23 Sanitation- During out time there were hand sanitizer stations, a worker came out and sanitize the equipment There were a limited amount of families. I think about 6 and everyone wore their masks and respected each other's space . Last point make sure you get and hold onto your receipt. This is only way to take advantage of the Re-entry program. If you are looking for a reasonably priced, fun place, to bring kids- this works. I personally best like it because it's one of the few kids play places that is open past 6pm. Great for working people who want to take their kids out. Especially, in the non summer months. Being open till 8 can really be helpful to different schedules. It has a good amount of ways kids can have fun, burn off energy and be active. The slides are particularly noteworthy and really fun. Even our older kid was wowed by them. The big one makes you go pretty fast. So, better for the little ones to go down it with someone else. There is a cool space at the top of the jungle gym structure where kids can play soccer, nets included. There's a ton of large brick blocks where kids loved trying to build something. They have a few, not fast moving motorized cars/motorcycles. These, are for a small extra charge through a card that you put money on. The "dance room" grabbed the attention of younger kids. Even if they weren't dancing, the colors and light picture shows on the walls were fun and entertaining for them. You can get snacks if need be. Not a bunch there, of those quick games for fees, where you "win" useless tickets for trash trinkets. I think that's a good thing. There is a smaller play area for say those up to 4yrs, if to be apart from any older school age kids. It has a smaller jungle gym, some soft blocks and a ball pit. Was it 5 star sanitary? Are most playgrounds or museums for kids? Were the workers specifically watching over the kids? Isn't that for the kids guardian's to do? ( hmm actually I prefer it this way, the opposite can seem kinda creepy). There are going to be domineering kids no matter where there's a bunch of kids together. Don't leave your kids unattended, by you. That's common sense for any place. Also, of course, generally speaking: when going to any play place, always best to eat your meal somewhere else before or after. Overall: we were able to take the kids somewhere fun in the evening, they had a great time and were free to be active. Great place to go in the winter time. Whats even cooler is that you can climb up in the play area too as an adult. Alot of people complain that its dirty, but honestly where else can you go somewhere to stay all day and leave and enter for free. New indoor playground alert! Kids Empire opened recently in Evanston (Dempster and Dodge). We decided to check it out. It's $15/kid and up to 2 adults are free. You get all day access with your admission so you can come and go as you please. There were maybe 10 kids there (probably because no one knows about it). Most of the kids had masks and all of the adults wore masks. The facility was super clean and staff was enforcing the rules. There were both activities for big kids and toddlers. Think of it like a modern Discovery Zone. My son had a blast. We spent 1.5 hours there but could have stayed a lot longer. This place is run by employees with little to no customer service and organizational skills. My husband and I booked a birthday party a month in advance on a Saturday from 2-5pm. Everything was fine at first, but once it was time for the pizza to arrive, which was promised at 3pm, an employee came to our table to warn us that the pizza was ordered from an outside source and it may arrive a little late. At 4pm when we still hadn't received our pizza or cake, my frustrated husband decided to ask what was the hold up with the food since our party was over at 5 pm, one of the employees responded by saying that, "someone forgot to order the pizza and it would take another 30 minutes to 1 hour for it to arrive." She asked if we would like to cut the cake first while we waited for the pizza to arrive. Because we were so short with time we felt like we had no choice but to cut the cake before having the pizza. We were completely in disbelief with the lack of organization and embarrassed with our guests. Around 4:45pm a different employee comes to our table to let us know that it was almost 5pm and we needed to start cleaning up our things because our party was almost over. I went to the front desk to complain about our party not having had pizza yet and someone telling us that it was time to go. The employees were all confused and none of them knew what was going on. Some responded by saying they didn't know where our food was and by saying they didn't know what was happening. I remained calm and told them we couldn't leave because we did not receive our food yet because of their mistake. They agreed we could stay until 5:30pm but our pizza was not given to us until 5pm. We had to rush and gather the kids to eat pizza after they had already eaten cake first and we had to rush to clean up (ourselves) because we were only given 30 minutes extra to eat our food that was supposed to be delivered around 3pm. Lastly, the walls that surround the play area are covered in dust and food wrappers. I highly doubt this place ever gets cleaned. Plus, we were never made aware that the "Birthday Huggy Parade" was about to start so we could have our child ready to see/dance with the character, which was promised when we booked his birthday party. If all of this isn't bad enough, one of our guests had to pay an additional amount to enter because "he didn't arrive with our party". When I asked for his money back, the employee responded very rudely by saying that "he only paid $5". I DO NOT care if he paid $5 or $1, he should not have to pay because he was already paid for. They are crooks, unprofessional, unorganized, dirty, and promise you a wonderful experience, but fail miserably. I would NEVER EVER recommend this place for a birthday party! read more

Loved this place! We went here back in November with my 2 year old son and ALL of us had a blast. It was very empty (less than 10 people total), everyone was masked, sanitizing stations everywhere and the place was clean so I felt very safe. There's an area for toddlers and kids still in diapers and then a larger area for everyone else. We enjoyed the two giant slides, the slalom type slide, the cars that require tokens, the little dance room, the blocks area. and of course the obstacle course. There's a lot of climbing, squeezing through things, crawling, etc so be prepared and dress appropriately! We were there for about 2 hours but can definitely see my son wanting to spend several hours: but I'll need to bring another kid to keep up with him. $15 for the three of us. Cant beat that! 10/10 recommend! Took the little girl I nanny and we BOTH had a blast. The place is clean, safe and has many different areas to play! There is a place for only toddlers so that there is no run in with the big kids. A dance castle with lights and music. Arcade games and prizes available. A few different slides, a built in go cart race, different obstacles, and most importantly a way for kids to use their skills to complete different obstacles! We had kids that ranged from 12 to 9 and they all found something to keep them amused for almost 3 hours. No one wanted to leave.
