Wow in this case, the low rating is totally unwarranted! I mean, when was the last time you found childcare for $15 an hour that included access to basketball court video games movies a snack bar and so much more to keep them entertained!? Kids quest may as well be called godsend for parents because this is just something that does not exist anywhere in my experience as a parent of a four and seven-year-old! The staff was incredibly helpful in getting this oriented to the experience and help the kids. We got signed up really quickly and the kids were in and having a blast in no time which let us head back to the casino to check it out and also explore Apex. The kids told us they had an absolute blast in space and that the counselors were friendly and kind and helpful, and that they couldn't wait to return. Personally, I want to come vacation at Redhawk again just because I know this exists and it means that I could enjoy dinner with my wife or even head out and find something fun to eat or do in Placerville surrounding area because this place is open late! Yes, this is an awesome addition to a hotel property and every hotel should consider, including something like this because by God did we spend some money after we left here. So good! read more

The new ball pit game is a blast and surprisingly not that expensive and a great way to win some tickets! I really enjoyed the live competitions they host because it just adds another layer of great customer service experience. This is our go to when we want to have fun on a random night! This place is where we drop off the kids when adults want to play in the casino. It is located on the 7th floor, away from the adult entertainment. They have arcade games and a play place where you can drop them off and have supervised attendants on site. Kids seem to enjoy their time here. Our son has discovered the concept of... THE GAME ROOM (thanks to his grandparents). We've been to Red Hawk twice since Thanksgiving. My parents love the casino, our son loves Kids Quest and we all enjoy the buffet. Kids Quest is a decent size game room- not really that big but not small either. They have some really cool games. Our son likes pretending to drive the Big Rig while I'm addicted to the Superhero coin drop machine. The staff are pretty helpful and provide good customer service at the counter. Their prizes are also decent compared to some other places. We only checked our son into the play area once. He wanted to go in and the attendant assured me he would be fine and they'd call me if he cried. We left him for an hour and for the most part he had a good time until he had to use the restroom but didn't know who to ask. Thankfully someone saw him and helped him. When I returned he was still sobbing but all he needed was a hug from mommy before more games. To be honest a trip to Red Hawk is a win over Chuck E. Cheese. read more

1/17/2019: I've been searching for a rainy day, play area where I may safely take my Grand-Daughter for the day; I wouldn't leave her alone playing by herself. I would prefer just hanging out playing with her at Kids' Quest despite, the fact, I know you must pay using the area but, so what: It's still a cool space where she may safely run around without injuring herself! BTW: I paid £7.00 entering Winter Wonderland in London UK and actually, Kids' Quest's admission fee is comparable to Winter Wonderland. Also, it's not dusty or dirty; the entire area is very clean, indeed. Aside, Kids' Quest has a snack bar where pizza, an assortment of finger foods, and drinks cater to any child's taste buds, a plethora of Jungle Jims for climbing, and exploring. All in all, the color, play areas, and decor are geared towards children's sight, sound, and tactile qualities. I just hope there's a creative artwork area where children can create, draw, and design their art and have the ability giving something beautiful they made with their heart and hands to their parents which would be so incredibly awesome! read more

Perfect place hidden from the smokes of the Casino for the kids to enjoy! When we come to Red Hawk for our buffet indulgence, we always make sure we have time to visit Kids Quest! We come for the games! Just like any arcade, to UC can purchase a game card, play games, win tickets, and trade for cool prizes! I believe they also offer a "play area" for parents who want to possibly leave their kids supervised while at the casino as well, not too sure since I haven't utilized that service, but may want to in the future. Prices are fair and the trade in value for prizes are good! Employees are attentive and helpful! Only complaint? There's only one bathroom on this floor and we all know that's a little hard with kids! read more

Surprisingly short notice on our part and we usually make kids bdays a big deal but no pressure was felt by one of the most experienced kids party planner Misty at Kids Quest. We gave her some decorations and she took care of the rest. Having a birthday at kids quest was quoted one of the best birthdays for the kids!!! They do a general decoration but we have to highlight Misty helped us photocopy some letters that were missing from our bday banner, she went above and beyond to ensure that we had the best outcome and experience possible. Serious shout out to Misty, she was a professional, organized, understanding, and knowledgeable. They were served pizza and ice cream and we had a cake for the kids which was plenty fun filled. They even have party favors and out to the kids, and we elected for package that came with arcade cards. The kids had so much fun at the arcade after hanging out in the gymnasium obstacle area. Also special thanks to Josh in the arcade area whom was so attentive to the kids claiming prizes but also some of the arcade games were not functioning properly he was swift to fix and helped us with the birthday cake that we left behind. Thank you so much for providing us the easiest kid bday party planning of all times. We've come here a number of times and our son has always had a good time. Tonight was a pretty bad experience. Check-in went well. Easy peasy. Checkout was another matter. We went to pick up our son at 8pm. We dropped him off at 615. We were a little shocked at the length of the line. We waited in line for 25 minutes. There was only one staff person working the counter. She kept telling parents that they were understaffed (because people kept asking what was taking so long). The line was moving very slowly. When we were next to be called a woman walked n front of us and barked at a worker in the snack area She spoke with her then a manager came over. The manager checked her out IN FRONT of us. The woman claimed she had "an emergency". She did not - she did nit want to wait. She ditched the line and it made everyone in line mad. When we got to the counter the manager/center director told us we were being charged for more than two hours We explained that we were in line for 25 minutes. We then explained how frustrating it was to see a woman ditch the line. She got rather rude to us. She just kept repeating: I can't give you a discount. We weren't asking for a discount. We just don't think it's great customer service to be understaffed to such a disagree that folks have to wait in such a long line that causes additional charges. She said that they were very short staffed and that she shouldn't even be at the counter, she should be on the floor because they aren't enough staff watching the kids. Finally when we were in the elevator once we left, we noticed our son had a bandaid. We asked him what happened. He said a kid hurt his finger playing air hockey and they put a bandaid on him. No one told us anything about this. I'm disappointed that we we weren't informed what happened. Shouldn't child care places notify parents if there is an incident? Putting aside the bad customer service experience, I'm truly concerned that no one on staff informed us of what happened. Given the multiple acknowledgments from staff about how understaffed they are, I would avoid this location. It appears they aren't staffed to safely supervise children. read more

DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILDREN HERE! (Warning - long post) If I could give ZERO STARS I absolutely would! We took my 3.5 years old daughter here on Father's Day June 19th, 2022. We specifically told the front desk clerk to not change her diaper. She put it in the notes. We had just changed her and told them if she needs a diaper change to CALL US immediately. We do not feel comfortable with strangers changing her. We waited around to observe what our daughter would do once she was checked in. She walked around for a little bit and then a few minutes later a staff member walked up to her and held her hand then walked to the back. We waited around to see where they took her. It is pretty ridiculous that we aren't able to go back there and know what the different areas are in Kids Quest (supposedly they are putting in a policy to allow tours now). We asked another front desk clerk where they took our daughter. They radioed the employee in the back and they said to change her diaper! We said no they didn't because we specifically said do not change our daughter. We have literally been there for less than 10 minutes when all of this occurred and didn't even leave the front desk since check in. A few minutes later they walked my daughter back up to the front. She is very upset and crying and said she wants to leave. She said she doesn't want to come back. We tried to complain and speak to a manager about how/why this happened. The Asst Director, Taylor, said to call Traci, the VP in Minnesota. I spoke to Traci the next day who said compliance would call me after watching the video of them changing her. Traci was understanding of the situation and seemed helpful. She said she spoke to Taylor and they told her they tried to call me to change her diaper but my voicemail was full. LIES! I was still at the front desk the entire time! I watched her take my daughter and that employee didn't notify anyone that we can see. The following day Kelly Braun from compliance called and said she watched the video and nothing abnormal happened. That was it. As a parent, how is this 1 minute phone call reassuring? Why am I not able to watch the video? She said because there are other kids in it. Traci told me prior that there was only another employee in it. Why the contradicting stories now? Both Traci and Kelly confirmed my account notes said DO NOT CHANGE DIAPER. Why are they not following protocol? How can I trust that their staff followed appropriate changing procedures or thoroughly watched the video if they can't follow their own simple and direct notes? Kelly was EXTREMELY RUDE after I asked to watch the video. She was short with me and had no empathy about the situation. When I asked if she could at least write an email confirming nothing inappropriate happened she straight up said NO! I asked who can I escalate this to? She said Rachel Perez, her boss but "she probably won't speak to you today", with a snarky attitude. I called Traci to now have to complain about another employee of Kids Quest as well as get reassurance about this video. Both Rachel (Kellys mgr) and Traci (VP) called me and said they watched the video. It was only about a minute long and appropriate changing was followed. When I first talked to Traci there were no other kids in the video but apparently now there was which is why I couldn't watch it. They have to "protect the minors". I said then why wasn't MY minor protected from not having consent to change her diaper? They said I am one of few who don't want their kid changed & took accountability for their employees at Kid Quest for not following instructions. They said they would talk to Kelly about how I was spoken to but backed her up on the years she has in childcare. If a parent is upset her child was fully undressed and changed in a private room without their consent, don't you think EMPATHY for the parent is common sense, rather than giving attitude to them?! Since I am unable to view the video I was told (by outside legal advice) to contact local law enforcement so they can watch it and assure me everything was done appropriately. I spoke to Plymouth police department and they are going to review the video and confirm nothing inappropriate happened. Kids Quest at Red Hawk needs to get it together because they are running an establishment, HORRIBLY! As much as I'd like to give it a star I feel like I can't help but give none. The first time our daughter went here she was soo happy. The second time not even a damn hour. .. they call me to tell me my daughter is ready to go home. HOWDO YOU KNOW SHE'S READY ?! They told me they can't provide one on one care with her. I'm sorry, if you're in a place surrounded by kids, and if a child isn't comfortable with other kids yet, why can't you be there && encourage her to play ? Besides that, they said that she had goldfish and a push pop, which she never came back with. How do I know they didn't just give it to her and then threw it away ? If anything, I'm putting a camera on her next time when she comes in here. I wanna see exactly how these workers actually treat the kids, because my daughter had a wonderful time last time. If you don't like your job, quit. Find something else. But if you also don't have patience with kids, you're in the wrong place. ***This was going to be a 1-star review, but a last minute save described in the final paragraph raised the review to 3-star. I decided it was still important to share the experience so that Red Hawk corporate could recognize the issues and make changes to avoid similar future situations. We dropped off our kids at Kid's Quest. While they enjoyed their experience, we really soured on the operation when we arrived to pick them up 2 minutes before the hour was up. There was a line and my wife called to the worker saying she just wanted to make sure she knew we were there before the hour. My wife stood in line for 5 minutes because they were helping other customers. When they finally checked us out, our time stamp was three minutes past the hour. Jayme, who identified herself as a supervisor, still charged us the late penalty. When we reminded her that we were waiting in line, she claimed that we had signed a form that says in big letters we would still be charged even though we were waiting in line. We then asked to see that contract. Initially, she adamantly refused to show it to us (what business won't show you a contract you signed? That felt really shady). It was not until I returned to the desk with my wife that Jayme reluctantly brought out a blank contract. I asked her to specifically show me in the contract where it said we would be charged even if we are waiting in line to pick the kids up. She could not find it in the contract (it wasn't there), and then claimed the workers tell us that verbally when we come in (which they had not). I assume this was the reason she did not want to show us the contract. Jayme would not refund the money. She said it was impossible to override the charge. She claimed that corporate would not allow them to charge anything less than what was shown on the check-in. Jayme then "helpfully" informed us that we should be standing in line at least 10 minutes early in the future just to make sure we don't get an overage charge. I totally get taking accountability for our own actions. If we had been late - even a minute late - we would have accepted the charge & this review would not have been written. But there's a structural problem when a business requires the customer to take responsibility for their own operational inefficiencies. Jayme claimed the problem was corporate. According to Jayme, corporate would not allow even a supervisor to issue a refund, even if the business was responsible for the issue. Either Jayme is lying or corporate at Red Hawk Casino has a major issue with trusting their supervisors to make important customer service decisions. In a last ditch effort, my wife went to the main casino information booth. She again explained the situation and, thankfully, that worker worker was not tone deaf to the clear customer service issue. The worker immediately refunded the charge, apologized and said she would send an email to Kids Quest to encourage a different approach in the future. I'm hopeful that this most recent response is more indicative of the Red Hawk attitude and that the non-service we received at Kids Quest was isolated. read more

My daughter and my niece and nephews had a good time there. I was happy with the check in process. The check out took a while but it was fine. Everything was good until I got in the car and my daughter and niece told us that the lady who did their face painting showed them her tattoo that read "BITE ME" in the inner bottom of her mouth! Cyberquest was great to keep my niece and nephew busy while we spent an average of $15 an hour amongst the 3 of us they had fun although the "arcade" though a bit small was fairly decent in selection it was mainly ticket games that range in $0.25-$2.00 to play. They had some fairly new high tech games like let's make a deal and fruit ninja along with classic basketball/football throw games. Prize redemtion staff was helpful and great to deal with. As far as paying goes it works on a preloaded card system and don't forget to recycle your empty cards when done at the redemption counter. A little boy was so nice to give us the rest of his 400tickets I guess he had too many prizes already.. O yea they also have two air hockey tables in the back. I guess kids quest which is next door to cyberquest(arcade) is a place to leave your kids like a baby sitter theme park. Overall they had decent fun at cyberquest minus one star for having a hard time to load our playcards using my credit card. And could have used some real arcade machines instead of only motorcycle/driving games. A pinball machine would have been nice but again they wouldn't have enough space. read more

I'm giving two stars only for having a daycare option at a Casino and my older two boys enjoyed the arcade and inside the daycare area they had basketball and plenty of things for them to do; HOWEVER due to the severity and delicacy of the rest of the experience and i say this in defense to babies and toddlers and mothers who choose to breastfeed, they DO NOT support women and breastfeeding at this Casino which is very concerning. I dropped off my older two children but was told that toddlers under 2.5 have to have a 48 hour advance reservation due to the staff needed for the "tiny tots" room which is a separate area and requires closer monitoring (for good reason, babies and toddlers do require more individualized attention). So we decided to let the older kids play and go walk around the casino for awhile since it was our first time here. My baby/toddler was starting to get tired and I needed to breastfeed so we walked towards the restrooms as there were no other areas to sit besides the restaurants which we had already ate at earlier. Considering the restrooms smell of poo and pee and I don't think any human wants to sit in there and eat, we sat at the two slot machines that were literally outside the restroom entrance. About 5 mins later a security came over and with no discretion looked right over my shoulder as I was breastfeeding and said "excuse me ma'am you cannot sit at a slot machine with a child, you're going to have to go find a bench somewhere (there's was ONE bench in front of the restaurant but fits about 4 people and there were already people sitting there waiting for the restaurant) he forced me to get up and had to unlatch my daughter who started screaming and crying because she was starting to fall asleep. We went back up to the kids quest floor and asked the front desk if they had a breastfeeding area the girl at the front said "I don't mean to be rude but if anyone needs to breastfeed we send them to the restroom or outside to their car" mind you, it was a cold and rainy day. The security that was guarding the kids quest area said we should file a complaint with the casino because he agreed if their gonna have a dedicated kids area, they should respect and accommodate the rights to FEED our children. If you are trying to tell us what and how to feed them when breastfeeding is protected even by employers giving mothers rights to breastfeed while working , then you are violating women's rights and should've thought about that when deciding to allow children at a casino. Very disappointing and degrading i did in fact have to go out to my car to breastfeed my child and felt extremely violated of my right to breastfeed my child. read more

The games are great to play with! I was amazed by how many tickets us and other families won. Employee Austin was great! He knew what he was doing and created a skeeball tournament for the customers in which was an amazing idea. Everything was going great until we started playing a certain game at the front of the toy area. As we were playing and accidentally bumping into it with several of our kids beside us the manager yells out "don't push on my machine! Don't lean on my machine!" The way he said it was truly rude to the point where I was so upset I just wanted to leave. I asked him if he even wanted me to touch the machine in order for me to play. As we wait for the machine to load. I slide my card to play one more time. From there the machine turns off and you can hear the manager talking under his breath about us as he is on the computer. The disrespect of this manager upset me and my family so much!!!! I asked Austin if there is any way a employee can turn off a machine from the computer and he said yes!!!! I just wanted my refund and leave!!!! As we got our prizes before leaving I told the manager how thankful I was for him turning off the machine. He had the audacity to say "thank you for touching my machine". I will not be back here with this ugly attitude a "manager" should have. We came here for the first time recently and we definitely enjoyed our experience! It was great. When you first park, there is a convenient parking garage and then an elevator. The elevator has a Kids Quest button. It takes you directly to the kid zone. That was cool. Once there it took about 5 minutes to register our two young boys. We then were told it's $10.75 per hour for each kid. The place looked awesome! There are two sections: one before the gates that parents stay with their kids and play the games together. Behind the gates are just kids, this is for dropping your kids off and parents leave. Inside there's a playscape, air hockey, building blocks, and lots of other children to play with. Parents also get to choose things from the menu with an additional price. The menu includes ice creams, snacks, and/or drinks. The staff gives it to your kids and cleans them up if you'd like. This is a huge bonus! The kids and I loved this. Really nice addition! The staff was super nice, organized and friendly. Also if you get the RedHawk Rewards cards you can receive additional benefits with the kids childcare. I recommend getting that card. I definitely suggest this place and can't wait to come back. read more

We held my daughter's 8th birthday party here this weekend and I was beyond happy with the turnout. The reservation process was simple and done online, the party hosts were in contact with me and on top of everything and the venue was clean and so fun! I have a new baby as well, so when planning this birthday party I was hoping to find a location that would provide the entertainment and keep my work minimal. Found it! I was contacted by Kid's Quest after making my reservation and was told that everything could be provided for me. I didn't need to worry about decor, place settings, cutlery- none of it; they told me they could work with any colors and themes and would decorate before our party's arrival. I had already purchased items with a particular theme so all I did was drop them off the day before and the hosts took care of the rest! When we arrived our daughter was elated! Everything looked great and was clearly just for her and her special day. The kids had an amazing time and the staff was so helpful and accommodating. I cannot express my thanks enough for making it so easy on me. I didn't even have to clean up! There were so many activities and fun distractions- there was a large play structure, arcade games, a reading area, a large play "house" area, multiple TVs, an iPad station and a karaoke stage. A few notes parents will appreciate: - From the parking garage you can access Kids Quest from the elevator without having to enter the actual casino. No smoke! - The staff works regularly with children and are good at it! They are friendly and accommodating. - Easy restrooms. - Very clean and safe. - The security measures are great! The kids cannot leave the party area without a parent. They issue barcode stickers to the children and collect them at the end to make sure all are accounted for. Lastly, there are chaperone employees throughout the area that monitor the kids, which is convenient and great! Worst place to take your kid! We get there. I sign my kid in. I repeat, I signed my kid in, filled out, initialed and signed their form. Gave them MY phone number. We left money for food. I get a call about an hour and a half after dropping him off that he had an accident. I go down to pick him up and change him but those idiots will not release him to me. They want his mother to come get him. I had the "claim ticket" but they refused. After arguing for a while they finally agreed to let my girlfriend tell them over the phone that they could release MY child to me. For all they know I could have called any female to ok the release of my child. They refused to match MY signature on their form to my drivers license. Refused to acknowledge that my phone number was on the for and most importantly they refused to return my food deposit as my son didn't eat or drink anything. Needless to say I didn't take him back and never will. The casino sucks too. Not enough tables and too many slot machines. I gave one star because I can't give zero! read more

They don't allow parents into the play area which I can understand but at least pay attention to the kids. There are several attendants there but not enough to keep a safe kids per attendant ratio. Infants, toddlers and older kids can get into each other's areas with ease creating a hazardous situation. When I was ready to pick up my 2 boys, it took them 30 minutes to locate both of them which had my anxiety levels up. When I raised my concerns to the front desk, all they said was we try. I'm sorry but that's not sufficient when you're supposed to watch over kids of all ages. I wont ever take my kids here even though I stayed in the waiting area the whole time. Cyber Quest is a great arcade, it had a lot of prizes. The employees were funny and helpful they interacted a lot instead of just acting like they hated to be there. The prizes are reasonably priced and they even will let you special order something if you have enough tickets. You cant leave your kids there unless they are at least 12 though and no alcohol is allowed on the entire floor, its also a no smoking area. read more

We took our child here and shame on us. We went to drop off at 10:15 and they opened at 10am. No employee was to be found. We walked the whole facility and had to call the main line casino to call them and make them come to the front. Both employees had an attitude that we were frustrated they weren't up front doing their job. We go to pick her up and provide our players card for the discount and they don't apply it. I bring it up and they acted like it wasn't a big deal and said they would put it on file for next time. Then when our daughter is brought to the front for check out she tells me she has a bandaid because she got a cut. I asked for an incident report and they looked at me like I was crazy for asking for it. I immediately asked for a supervisor and the supervisor seemed lack luster at best. When I explained that as a childcare licensed facility in California they legally have to provide an incident report! Not only did they not have an incident report their response was "well we should have one but don't" That is absolutely unacceptable! I'm trusting my child in your care. No matter how minor or major an accident is you must have a report! I'm disgusted in their response with my frustrations and lack of care for their job. Do not take your kids here. The staff is rude and doesn't care about the welfare of your child. The "management" in the facility seems to not care or know the laws of childcare. read more

Cyber Quest is grand old time from the moment you walk inside. There is nothing but loud games, laughter and once in awhile Disney songs playing in the background. The staff is pretty chill, often knowing pop culture references that allow them to talk with the kids and aid them in prizes. And even better? Their prizes show it too. Keep spotting a DBZ and Steven Universe board game. They will be mine once I save up those tickets - which is another pro! You get to add your name on a card then save up points to buy much more epic items. Even better, if you lose it they can look it up. Reasonably prices prices and they even special order items if your looking for something a bit outside of the normal arcade toys. They food on sight which is great if you do not want to head up stairs to the smoking section and they have slushies! Water is free which is nice. There is another side where you can check your little ones in - Kids Quest, but for older kids that are 12 and up its nothing fun. read more

My mom usually takes my daughter and my sibling here but we never had an issue until today. Usually we have a tab open so they can purchase food but one of the girls that signed her in never ask about it but this time they called us up because my daughter is upset. Im thinking something must have happened she said she was hungry and and said theyre was no money and one of the girls said well you should of ask one of us hello she did and if the first girl signed her in correctly and ask then we wouldnt have an issue and then girl goes well she seen your sister crying and thats why she got upset um no stop making excuses! no apologies whatsoever! i suggest you to train your staff and yes they'res alot of kids you check in but this is unacceptable. read more

There's so much to write, I'm just going to have to keep this as simple as possible. This place is a rip off. Been here around 7 times. Each time it gets worse, trying to force feed our kids food so they male a higher tip. I brought my son and his little girlfriend here while I gambled upstairs with a friend for about 90 minutes. I had a coupon for one free hour. (About $7.00), which they wouldn't ho or because I had a player card which gives like a 10% doscount... (everyone has a player card. Why even bother printing coupons?). I wanted to leave plenty of mo ey for them to eat and drink, so I confirmed with the woman that I'd be upstairs for less than 2 hours. If both kids got 2 drinks, a pizza each and a bag of chips, it would be around $30. So I left $40. When I picked up the kids they had horrible stomach aches because the workers force fed them icees. They said they were full but the lady told them,"You have to eat more because your mom paid for it..." $79.00 for 90 min for 2 kids. Can I say... NEVER AGAIN!!!! I never got an itemized bill. I called to complain and they were full of excuses. I'll never bring my kid here again. Those who are babysitters in the area, I hope you take some of their business away!
