This place is rigged. Every play we would pick up a plush just for the claw to swing wildly and drop the plush before it got to the drop spot. Weird that the claw doesn't swing at all until after you pick something up... Just take your money and go buy a plush. The odds are zero that you'll be taking anything home from here. read more

Our family hasn't been here in a while because it started feeling scammy. Decided to give it another shot in the off-chance that they could have changed. Sad to say that they did change, but for the worse! The prices have basically doubled with it being 2 tokens (dollars) per play and it also seems like the machines are a lot more rigged for less payouts than before. I don't know what happened to this place. We used to be able to go in with $20 and leave with anywhere from 5-10 prizes. Now you're lucky if you're able to leave the store with 1! What a cool arcade for children of all ages! We attended a Santa pajama event nearby and were instantly intrigued by all the lights and toys. This new claw arcade is located near the elevators and main entrance. As soon as we enter the arcade, you'll see everyone having fun. Make your way to the back where the cash register is to purchase tokens. The employee was very nice and helpful. There are a variety of claw machines to play, our 2yr old was able to play with ease and even won a prize toy! Pricing seems reasonable and the claw machines have some fantastic prizes. So much fun. Love coming here to pass time! Came for their St. Patrick's special and got 58 tokens for $50 plus a free Hello Kitty plush. They had the Hello Kitty dumpling series and I was able to win all of them :) so $50 later, I won everything in my photo plus a Pokemon trade-in (Bidoof) that didn't make the cut for my Sanrio pic haha. You can easily trade plushies for another within the same machine, so just be sure to go for the easy picks rather than selecting for a specific character. You can also trade up for larger plushies at the counter valued anywhere from like 3-12 smaller plushies. I just wish they kept their website/IG updated with the plushies they have in their machines & available for trade ups on a rotating basis. They seemed to be really good about posting weekly on their IG stories last year, but don't really post as frequently anymore. read more

Friends wanted to go, therefore I was here. Spoiler alert, I am absolutely horrendous with crane games. If you never played a claw game, that is a good thing. These games can become addicting as Vegas slots. Take care of your wallet and set yourself a hard limit. It can be frustrating if you don't win anything. So try not to fall into an endless pit of tries. That being side, if your lucky you will win. If your not, it may become costly. If you go for fun with a set budget you'll be fine. The toys offered here are nothing too special. There is a lot of Sanrio, Pokémon, and popular series to choose from but the arcade itself is quite small. They only have crane type games. The staff is friendly and will assist if you have questions or issues. Good way to kill time and burn spare change. read more

I spent twenty dollars trying to win a plush and the machine is clearly rigged. The claw grabs the plush with a strong grip but then hits the roof of the machine and makes it drop every single time. It is designed so you cannot win. Months ago you could win a plush with six to ten dollars, but here it feels impossible no matter how much you spend. It is cheap and frustrating. I love this little hidden gem in the Arden Fair mall! The claws wiggle a lot when playing but that's the rush of playing claw machines. Their prices are affordable and my kids always walk out with list of toys or trade ups and smiles on their faces. It's always a good time when we're there! We decided to try out the one in Arden mall as she had tried some machines in Round 1 in Roseville. The manager and employees were great! Their customer service is top notch. When the manager noticed her "9th" birthday balloon she kindly asked if it is her birthday. My daughter said her birthday is tomorrow and that today is picture day. The kids had a great time, which was the main goal, but as others have mentioned, the machines are definitely set up to make winning difficult. For the amount of money spent, the prizes don't really feel worth it. Overall, it was a fun experience for the kids, but I don't think I'd return to this location. read more

The claws were very difficult to win, they probably have the difficulty turned up pretty high. We spent a good amount of money and we were only able to get 4 things. At other claw places I have gotten 12 plushies for the same price. The employees were also not very attentive, they were on their phones the entire time and we had to ask for a bag. We also asked for one plushie to be moved in the machine which is pretty standard at these places and he acted like that was difficult. They never greeted us when we walked in but welcomed the next couple that came in behind us. I will say one good thing is the plushies are a little more higher end than the usual claw place. I think with a few small fixes this place can really be great. read more

In theory, the store is super fun with good quality toys that are desirable for children and grown-ups who are still children at heart. It's one dollar a token, with most of the machines costing two tokens for one play. The more you buy the better the deal for the tokens ($20 for 32 tokens, $50 for 90 tokens. The problem is that their claws are very loose and we captured so many toys only to have them fall out of the claw because it jerked so much before it got to the dispenser area. Some claws were too small for the items in the machine and others had claws too big for the small toys inside. I asked the really nice worker what odds they set their machines to, and she said 1/20 odds. It didn't feel that way. My child was incredibly frustrated by the time we left, and was bitter and upset to leave with the toy that he ended up getting. Overall, the experience was not a positive one and we spent more money than I wanted to because the experience was so frustrating and stressful for my kid. We won't be coming back. read more

Where to even start, this new claw spot is one of the finest examples of customer service + entertaining experience. My kids went to town on the claw machines, and they ended up winning big multiple times. We left with 3 large bags worth of plushies. What I like about this place is that the staff right off the bat is super friendly, and because it was memorial day they gave everyone a free pin. The staff is also willing to give you tips and strategy to help you win, and they tend to rearrange the machines to give you favorable chances at winning. Another cool thing that they offer is a trading system, so you can take multiple plushies and trade them up, trade them for interesting items like bags and backpacks, or do a 1 for 1 trade if you think the thing in the glass display is cooler you can trade a plush for it. Overall this is one of the best things to come to the Arden Fair Mall, and I would suggest any fan of claw machines to give this place your business, they will definitely have us returning in the future. read more
