I absolutely hate going to the dentist and this is by far the best experience I have had. I hadn't had a teeth cleaning in years and Miguel was so amazing. Asked if I was comfortable and was super gentle I also needed a cavity filled and Dr. Kayla was amazing. Barely felt the injection to numb up my mouth. Definitely recommend this office read more

Him and his team went above and beyond the average dental experience. After a huge dissapointment a couple years back, I started going to Dr. Kigawa. He's the best, hands down. And, unfortunately, I'm one to know... I've seen several dentists in the last 20 years because of 2 sets of braces and a bunch of TMJ issues. He's one of the only dentists on the westisde that has all the sleep study certs as well. Poor service, 1 out of 5 stars. Please do yourself a favor and take your teeth elsewhere. Don't go there. They don't have the proper equipment, and care. They try to upsell you with products and many annoying appointments. Left with the same dental problems and a lighter wallet. read more

I went to Dr Kigawa's office today. My previous dentist was OK, but not really worth the extra driving time... Went purely because of online reviews. Was a little apprehensive as multiple reviews for a small volume business such as a dental office may mean something other than what the reviews would suggest... Was happy to discover otherwise. I primarily needed cleaning but also got a very thorough check up by the doctor. I got very positive impression of all the stuff I interacted with. Miguel the hygienist was not overly chatty but was happy to answer any questions. I do not particularly need to be entertained by light conversation in a dental office, I much rather have them concentrate on my teeth and do a good job. Miguel said he was with the office for 12 years and I think he did a very good job. Since in any given year I may only see a hygienist in the office this is an important positive for me. Doctor Steven Kigawa then gave me what was probably the most thorough dental check up that I can remember anywhere and for whatever it's worth his answers to my questions made sense to me. I got the impression that he was very competent, but not being a dentist myself this is a little hard to judge. In fairness I did not have a major (or any) procedure done in the office, so my assessment of the doctor is not very complete. I did find out that this used to be his father's practice, which adds a little extra layer of confidence in the practice for me. I may have to update this review once I know more. read more

Not only is Dr. Steve Kigawa great at what he does, but his staff as well. Griselda runs the administrative side and is extremely helpful. Melvin is one of the dental assistants and is terrific. The office is also pretty hi tech....X rays pop up b4 my eyes and got to watch TV while "Zoom"-ing! Another BIG deal for me....I didn't have to wait! read more

i have been seeing Dr. Kigawa since i was a little girl and i love him! his entire staff is so nice, knowledge, and attentive! He does an amazing job and makes sure that im always comfortable before he proceeds with anything. I had my first (and i pray my last!) root canal here about a month ago.....i was expecting a bloody and painful disaster! it was actually A LOT better than i had anticipated! the most important thing he could have ever done was to make sure the anesthesia took completely before moving on....other doctors "time it" instead of checking on the patient. I have recommended other friends/family here and everyone is happy here. im actually not afraid or wary of going to the dentist :) read more

Very friendly and knowledgable staff that accepts pretty much any PPO insurance. Cleanings are thorough and affordable and the doctor (and staff) are actual humans. Really nice, smart people that do just what they're supposed to do--clean your teeth and not make your mouth/wallet hurt. Three visits in so far, all have been great and very easy to schedule. No waiting in the waiting room helps, too. read more

Have seen Dr. Kigawa for my inital visit only but so glad to have found him. I have been to some aweful dentists in LA and he and his office are a breath of fresh air. The office is super state of the art (TV while you get you teeth cleaned!) and the staff are all really nice and helpful. I know a bunch of people who see him, as we were also recommended and everyone has nothing but great thing to say. If you are looking for a dentist in this area don't pass Dr. Kigawa up. read more

Dr. Kigawa is great! He's totally cheery and fun to chat with, particularly for a dentist, who on the whole have never impressed me with their flair for conversation. or smell (...let's just say my childhood dentist was not very frangrantly inclined. noo need for detail). Moving along! The first time I saw him, he was totally attentive and took the time to address all my concerns. All of the receptionists who work for Dr.Kigawa are the nicest people ever, they didn't even get mad when I accidentally took (took, stole -- same difference) my chart and didn't return it for like six months. And when I was shopping around for dentists, Roselda was the only person out there who bothered to stop and answer all my questions about my insurance, without being hella impatient or sounding annoyed. Finally, one disclaimer I should offer, for whatever it's worth, is that I've only seen Dr. Kigawa twice. I'm going to miss him when I leave L.A.! read more

Seriously the BEST dentist that I have ever had. The customer service is AMAZING! Everyone is very friendly and professional. They really take their time in explaining every process. They even measured my gums on my first visit! I have never even heard of that prior to visiting Dr. Kigawa's office.....preventative care is really important to them. Dr Kigawa is a great dentist and has really good cleaning staff. My only complaint here is regarding their billing practice. Since last 1 year it appears they've made their billing more opaque and have been overcharging patients for routine cleaning. A routine cleaning would have been free almost as it's covered by most standard plans. However Dr Kigawa's office inflate the charges so much that even after the insurance company pays all the covered/contracted amount for cleaning/x-rays, Dr Kigawa's office charges patients close to $150 for routine cleaning. When we confronted them, they say that the patients are responsible for non-paid charges. Obviously if they are charging ridiculously high made up amounts, insurance company is not going to pay everything. The sad thing is that they did not inform us about these charges in advance. We went in thinking the routine dental cleaning is covered except our co-pay. But ended up paying much much more. I suspect that they also do custom billing for every patient. I would like to ask the community if there's a legal way to subpoena their records to see if they're charging fairly to all patients. Please post here. read more
