I just found a new Kiki's Chicken Place in Elk Grove, on Elk Grove Boulevard and Franklin Boulevard. I got the chicken topped fries, with mozzarella cheese and their house ranch dressing. They offer two sauces so I chose lemon pepper on the side. The cut up chicken strip was nice and fresh, and fries pretty crunchy, and I should've gotten additional ranch sauce because it was pretty dry with the cheese and sauce just on top. I really liked the freshness and will try it again. There are tables inside for dining. read more

I'm a huge fan of anything fried chicken and was excited to see a new Kiki's nearby! I've had it once before in another location and had a great experience, so I looked extra forward to trying out this newly opened location. When I entered, the facility smelled GREAT! It made me even more hungry and excited to eat there. The facility was clean and was spacious. My only complaint is that it was a bit too uncomfortably warm for me, especially when outside was too warm as well. I just wish they had turned the AC on a bit more. We ordered plain wings with sauces on the side and shoestring fries. On the on-screen menu above the register, it had listed the fries as $6.99. But on the kiosk, it said that the large fries would be $3 on top of the $6.99. I asked the employee there to see if there was a mistake, but even she didn't know why. After I carefully looked again at the menu to show her that it's priced at $6.99, that's when I noticed the typo: both the size medium AND the size large were listed at the same price. It was an unfortunate misunderstanding, but typos happen. The fries tasted good, however it didn't taste fresh. It was semi-warm and not crisp like I remembered. And for the wings, it tasted a bit too dry inside. More dry than juicy for the most part. The outside of the wings had a good amount of crunch, which I appreciate. Other than that, the flavor was pretty good, especially when dipping with the jalapeño ranch! I hope to see this location improve, especially knowing the potential is there just from my previous experience. read more

We got a "build your bites" (medium, tater tots, with lemon pepper and ranch sauces). I probably wouldn't get lemon pepper sauce again because it was kind of a lot of lemon (obviously, but get it if you like it!). I also wonder if they would be able to put the sauce on the side because the tots got kind of soggy after a bit. We also got a mango cream smoothie which was decent. I really wanted to like this place... but I really can't justify how much I spent for the quality of food I received. I ordered 6 wings with tater tots. This alone was more expensive than a fire wings or wingstop 10 piece combo. The wings were so big and weirdly shaped that I felt uncomfortable to eat it. I liked the tater tots though and did appreciate the different side options that they had. Will I be back? Kiki's is my go-to place for fried chicken and fries, especially obsessed with their shoestring fries! I've tried multiple different locations and noticed the food quality is always a hit or miss. This time, the fries tasted like old stale fries that had been re-fried, so the texture was harder and chewier. The fried chicken was overcooked and dry. The menu had some typos, for example, the medium and large fries are both listed as $6.99, but on the kiosk, it'll show it's $10 for the large, which is kind of expensive for just plain fries. I like ordering through the kiosk because it is more clear and easier for me, compared to ordering from the menus on the top screens because it's not very clear you can order just wings without the combos. I ordered 12 pieces of wings with 3 sauces on the side and medium shoestring fries. I requested for the sauce to be on the side rather than tossed with the chicken because I like my chicken crispy and not soggy, so I appreciate having this option! Their jalapeño ranch sauce is the best! I highly recommend that one. The cashier was friendly and gave some extra sauces. I do enjoy the taste of chicken wings itself without the sauces, it has a subtle Chinese style salt-and-pepper flavor! But of course I still like to dip it in the sauces per bite. The other two sauces I chose were blue cheese and chimichurri, all were good but jalapeño ranch was is still my favorite because it tastes so unique. I have always loved Kiki's I'm so happy they opened one now in Elk Grove. We went yesterday for the first time and oh my goodness it was so good. Now being pregnant this definitely satisfied my craving and I definitely will be going back again. The service on the other hand was not as good the woman taking our order was quite rude and impatient with us which was so sad because of how much we love the food there. They're super addicting However, I can't give them 5 stars; the second time I came to this location, I tried their special Kikai sauce.
